Summary: Great for Arms for beginners but Intermediate on Legs!
Review: I really like this DVD and the Arm workout is fantastic! It is easy to follow but is challenging both for beginners and more advanced. The leg workout is really more focused on the rear and really requires an intermediate fitness level. I have been doing yoga for about 3 months and I had trouble maintaining a lot of the poses but it is a good one to work on and see your progression.

Summary: Great beginner workouts...
Review: I think that this Yoga Zone DVD is excellent. I love the way it is presented. It is fast enough, so you don't get bogged down in it, like with some other Yoga cassettes. You feel revitalized and refreshed after doing one of the workouts. It's not too challenging, so it's excellent for the beginner. You will enjoy this, if you are interested in taking up Yoga for the first time. I doubt it will present much challenge for anyone who's been doing Yoga for a while, but it is great for a beginner, like myself.

If you need the motivation to get in shape, this tape will help! You will be able to enjoy yourself and add some fitness to your life at the same time.

Summary: Not this one!
Review: I usually LOVE all Yoga Zone videos, but this one is not the same quality! The instructor is hard to understand, the camera views are off, and it's way-too unrealistic! It says for beginners and up, but this is clearly a way-advanced tape. I threw my back out with this one! Try again Yoga Zone!

Summary: Gets better with age
Review: It was around the 3rd viewing that I began to like these workouts. They are challenging--a type of yoga based less on flexibility and breathing, and more on holding tight poses or asanas that will make your muscles tremble!

There are two 20-minute workouts, focusing on the upper and lower body. The host, Jennifer, has a guest instructor for each workout. The guest demos more advanced moves throughout, while Jennifer performs easier variations. This isn't readily apparent, so.....if you need some help getting started, focus more on what Jennifer is doing.

I'm at an intermediate yoga level, and yet find myself doing the easier variations of some poses. This workout is definitely designed to make you stronger! If you have no yoga experience, you may still like the DVD if you are strong and would like an alternative to your weight training workouts.

Why not 5 stars? The host seemed a little scripted and not as personable as I typically like. Otherwise, this DVD is a great addition to the library......and probably unlike most yoga videos out there.

Summary: knowing nothing of yoga.....
Review: Knowing nothing of Yoga I thought this DVD would be good because of the beginer status, however I found it very difficult. Explanations of moves are not done in enough detail. The first series starts out with difficult moves (at least I thought so) and with neck/shoulder problems it was even more extreme.
I would only reccomend this for those people who have had at least some yoga experience/training.

Summary: Challenging but just enough..
Review: The sequences are long enough for beginners and the poses give you a lot to strive for in terms of form. Instruction is clear and not overly earthy-crunchy. Works your whole body in a short time.

Summary: TOO ADVANCED
Review: The yoga instructor rushed through a series of movements. As a beginner, I have a hard time catching up. I am disappointed because I actually enjoyed the Introduction to Yoga by Yoga Zone.

Summary: Best Yoga Zone video!
Review: This DVD is the most prized and well-used in my collection. Excellent for more intermediate students, it is a great step up from other beginner videos, with more challenging postures. The first time I used this video my muscles were sore for the next two days, which is always a positive sign to me. If I combine both 20 minute segments I get a great overall workout, both upper and lower body, but it's also great if I want to concentrate on just one body part. I recommend this video to anyone interested in acheiving a truly total body workout.

Summary: Not for the new student to Yoga
Review: This is a basic yoga tape which gives you an introduction to Yoga, although it starts in the middle. The tape has 2 segments- the first one is easier than the second. I am a beginner; this tape has more advance moves particulary in the second section. There are a few drawbacks to this tape- too much work with your wrists/lower arms- table poise is not for the beginner; movement from one poise to another is rather fast compared to other beginner tapes. I brought Yoga conditioning for Weight Loss which is an excellent tape for the beginner. I will go back to the Yoga zone tape after I am no longer a beginner.

Summary: It will make you sweat!
Review: This is a great video! I'm at a beginner's level and I had no problem doing the poses on this tape. At the same time it will make you sweat! If you want a great arms and legs workout this is the tape for you.
