Rating: Summary: You've got to get down before you get up Review: OK, folks. Who has time for a 45-60 minute workout every day? Not me. So, if you like to feel like you're putting in *some* exercise time but don't want to add ANOTHER hour to your day, check out this fun DVD.Three-day Rotation offers six, 20-minute workouts (three beginning, three advanced). Donna's clear directions will help you when you're learning, and the funky chatter will keep you awake, if you're doing them in the wee hours of the morning like me. Of course, you might have your husband start chanting with Donna "you've got to get down before you get up," like mine has! Seriously, I've used this DVD more than my others in the last two years. (Which is why Dave probably knows the words and commentary.)
Rating: Summary: A Great Quick Workout Review: This dvd provides a great workout. I like the 20 minute format for when I need a good workout in a short amount of time. Donna explains and demonstrates the moves clearly. Donna is cute and fun and makes the workout enjoyable!
Rating: Summary: Easy way to get in shape Review: Got a few pounds of flab you need to shed? Woefully out of shape? Want to tone and better define your body? If any of these apply and you don't have the time or cash to go the gym buying this DVD is the simple solution. Counting the advanced versions there are six 20-minute exercises. Given that you can do one two or three at a time and that you can do each at your own pace, there are countless ways to work out. I've fallen out of shape a few times since purchasing this DVD and have been impressed at how quickly and easily I can work off pounds with Donna's help. I like the circuit toning exercise the best (in which weights are used). You really do work the entire body. I was glad to progress to the advanced version because the basic one has so much silly chatter that can get on your nerves after the first 25 times. Box and jab is good though confusing the first few times and the dance aerobics is great as it allows you to push or baby yourself as you see fit (no pun intended). Donna is pleasant, energetic and gives generally clear instructions. Her comrades in arms (and legs) are easy on the eyes, although the blonde seems out of place, especially in the dance video where her earnest but awkward movements are comical. I doubt this is the best exercise DVD for those with serious health issues or for athletes, but for those of us in the vast middle (looking to get rid of our excess middles) Donna is the workout queen!
Rating: Summary: Pretty Good! Review: After receiving my first Donna Richardson tape, 30 Days to Thinner Thighs, I knew I had to try more by this friendly, energetic, very personable instructor. My next tape was Four-Day Rotation; I do the entire tape for a wonderful, fun total body workout. Three-Day Rotation was my third purchase, and Donna still motivates me in her very friendly manner. What I DIDN'T like was that loud, obnoxious Asian-looking woman in the back of the class in the first section; I think she's in the back of the class in the last section as well, but in the second section - kickboxing - she's right up in your face. I began to wonder "who's teaching this class" as she whoops and hollers at her classmates to "work it" and "keep it up". ... as I'm huffing and puffing trying to keep up ... I wish I could mute her out, but keep the music and Donna's comments. I know I went on a bit about "that woman", but your "classmates" really do make or break your class enjoyment.
Rating: Summary: Didn't Like It Review: I love Donna's book Let's Get Real but I just can't get into her workouts. I didn't find the workouts fun or motivating. Save your money.
Rating: Summary: really great impowering work-out Review: If you are looking for a quick work-out to energize you, this is the one to get. I've tried all kinds and I must say that Donna's are great. They are 20 min routines. The "Kick and Jab" is my favorite, a great work-out involving kick and regular boxing moves. It's also good to note that there are 3 beginner and 3 advanced work-outs, so this will keep you moving.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Workout Review: This was an excellent workout. I personally do not care for the dance aerobic workout. The other two are excellent. Using the kick boxing routine and the circuit toning, I have lost 50 pounds. Of course I was using Slim Fast and Weight Watchers as well but the circuit toning exercises really worked my abs; and the kick boxing worked my arms. This is an excellent dvd if you have the discipline to get up and do the workouts. You will definitely see results within two weeks (if you are doing it consistently- 3 to 5 days a week). Thanks Donna, my family and I love you!!!!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Fast Paced Review: This is my first (and maybe last) Donna Richardson workout that I'll purchase. Donna does an excellent job at providing viewers with a complete body training program. With the 3 day rotation, viewers will receive a high energy cardio and strength training workout. I personally found the pace to be too fast and it took too long for me to learn the routine. I spent more time trying to learn the steps than focusing on the workout.
Rating: Summary: Big Cheesy Grin Review: This is a fun, hig-energy, bouncy work out with a very smiley bunch of gals! I love that you can rotate workouts for Mon, Tues + Wednesday. I really love the mambo workout. However on the down side you have to learn very fast to keep up with the dance moves and when it comes to the stretches just keep the remote control handy to keep pausing it to actually have time to stretch.
Rating: Summary: Variety and Increasing Intensity Review: Donna Richardson's 3-Day Rotation workout features cardio dancing, strength training, and kickboxing segments. Each segment is also available in an advanced version, so you can keep using it over time. For the strength training segment, you will need hand weights and an exercise mat. This segment features a lot of lunges and squatting, so if you have knee problems, this may not be a good segment for you. The cardio dance segment features a lot of unique dance moves. The music is motivating and fun. Even if you are experienced with Donna's other workouts, such as her Donnamite workout, you will need a few run-throughs before you catch the hang of these dance moves. The kickboxing workout is a great cardio workout. Donna teaches the fundamentals of punching: jab, upper cut, and what she calls "stirring a big pot of soup." The kicking section features side kicks as well as front kicks. Combined, this is an intense segment. This is a great DVD for people who get bored doing the same workouts all the time. If you need something new and fresh to keep you going, this is the workout for you. Be aware, though, that you'll want to include some stretching in addition to this DVD to have a well-rounded fitness program.
