Summary: Both gentle and intense
Review: I have had this video for almost two years now. I use it at least once a week; and take it with me when I travel. After all these months I still enjoy the two dance segments. Each segment starts off with stretches which help one loosen up. The dance movements are gentle while also providing a good aerobic workout.

Summary: Recommended!
Review: I have no dance experience so I was bit hesitant about buying this video. I have no regrets after using it for 3 months. It takes a couple of tries before you get the hang of the movements but once you do, you feel energized, toned and great! I usually do the first workout the first day (takes about 35 minutes) and do the second (takes about 25 minutes) on the following day and keep cycling it until the weekend comes around when I do the whole tape from start to finish.

Summary: Good even for beginners
Review: I haven't excersized much, but I've always wanted to dance since I was little. So far I've really enjoyed this video. It takes a bit of practice to get all the moves down. But it's not Too strenuous.

Summary: Funny dress
Review: I like the movement in this tape. I just can't understand why J Kries has to wear a curtain below her waist. It's hard to see how she moves behind a piece of black cloth. If she is too shy to show her legs, she can wear a longer pants.

Summary: The best, most entretaining workout on earth!!!
Review: I love dancing, and this is the perfect video for dance-lovers. It makes you feel good about yourself, and you really exercise. You don't feel like you're exercising, since you have so much fun dancing!!!

Summary: Full bodied goodness
Review: I love the way that these dance exercises use the full body, with way more stress on using the torso that most aerobics videos. I did a little dancing is school and love the feel of the freedom involved in dancing, using and stretching all the muscles in my body.

Most movements in aerobics videos do not use as many muscles as the movements in ballet, jazz and modern. And even the isolations involved make you aware of the muscles that are being used in more complicated movements.

This video is great for anyone who wants to increase their muscular endurance in the torso (chest, abs, lower and upper back) and improve their posture, leg strength and extension through the arms.

This video can take you past just being physically fit, and allow you to improve coordination, and your overall appearance through better posture and muscular stamina.

It's a good idea (though not entirely necessary) to know a little about the basic movements in ballet, jazz or modern (plies, releves, bat mas, and proper turnout techniques) to be certain you are doing the exercises properly, but the activities in this video are never terribly complicated individually. However, the larger patterns involved at the ends of the session may require some work to get through on beat with the instructors.

Summary: Love it!!!
Review: I love this video! I left the dance world for a software engineering career, and have had the hardest time getting back into a studio on a regular basis. I am so excited to have found this video with great dance instructors, choreography, and Modern Dance with "live" percussion!!! It's just like taking a modern class. Dance is the only exercise I've ever enjoyed(so it was the only exercise I could displine myself to stick with it), so I'm sure I'll wear this video out.

Summary: Must be very coordinated!
Review: I was excited to buy this DVD, but when I brought it home, it wasn't quite what I expected. The dance moves are difficult to follow as the instructors go very quickly. It took me many viewings before I had any clue what was going on. You need to have a lot of space in order to do this workout, and must have pretty good coordination. I am 25 and athletic, but still struggled with getting the moves down. Lisa Wheeler's section is definitely better, but still somewhat advanced for me. I was hoping for more of a modern-style, hip-hop type workout, but this workout focused on ballet and jazz moves. I broke a sweat, but overall this DVD is pretty lame.

Summary: This Tape Is Great
Review: I'd been bellydancing for awhile when I decided I needed something a little more vigorous, but not lung wrenching or joint busting. I don't know your level of fitness, but this tape was perfect for mine. It's challenging, yet fun, and personally I didn't find ANY of the moves to be injurious. Both instructors imo, are great. They really bring out the dancer in you. :)
