Rating: Summary: Motivating, time flies after you learn all the moves Review: This interval training aerobics video is great for bringing the heart rate up, toning the lower body, and losing weight. It takes just 40 minutes, so that's also a plus. This was my first exercise video, and it was the perfect choice for a beginner, although I found it took a few times through to learn all the steps. But once I knew them, the variety has continued to keep it fun and interesting for 5 months. I started off with the basic moves demonstrated by two of the workout team, but quickly moved up to the intermediate and advanced moves (also demonstrated). At the beginning, I found I had to this workout 4 or 5 times a week to start really losing significant weight. Now I have quite a few other tapes of various types, and I have lost significant weight and am much stronger. But I keep coming back to this video when I want a great cardio workout that isn't too time-consuming. It's a good idea to supplement this workout with an upper-body strengthening program.
Rating: Summary: Who does not like Kathy Smith Review: An Excellent Cardio workout with 6 short different 2 mins intervals of high intensity that REALLY bring your heart rate up then there is a rehab section where you get a chance to tone and firm your lower body as well. A total of 40 mins very effective workout where you dont need to use weights nor steps or any other kind of equipment. It really works & has helped me alot in my weight loss program.

Rating: Summary: Decent intermediate workout to add to you routine Review: I started using this workout after recovery form a tendon injury due to running. I have a tendancy to overdo exercise and push too hard, so it really helps for me to follow a structured workout tape from beginning to end and then turn it off. The tape is set up so you do intense 2 minuite cardio intervals followed by a short active recovery, in which you do squats and leg lifts etc, until your heart goes down and then it repeats. Its true that vigerous exercise is necessary for weight loss, well in me it is anyway. I find that there is a lot of lateral motion, side to side steps, and some steps that feel different and cool. I skip the recovery and just do the intervals and go straight through which gives me about a 20 min workout. The tape will get easier for you as you do it, so you may have to put more intensity into the moves. My favorite part of the tape is the stretch at the end. I do cycling and pilates and I always practice the stretches I learned in this segment everytime I work my legs. I should warn you about the last segment tho, It involves a move where you twist from the toroso and punch, which is really totally unecessary and as a result I ended up hurting my lower back. my doctor told me to stop doing that part of the tape, and the pain went away. But maybe thats just me....
Rating: Summary: Good video Review: This video is designed for exercisers of all fitness levels but tends to lead toward the imeditate exerciser. You can work up a good sweat but if you are an advanced exerciser this workout will not be challenging enough for you. The toning segments in between each interval are better suited for the beginer exerciser but the intensity of the aerobic segment can be modified to meet any fitness level. I occasionaly rotate this video in on my light or tired days. This is a good floor exercise video to include in your fitness library.

Rating: Summary: i like it Review: this video is really cool because after you get the moves down, you can do them without watching the video - anytime, anywhere, and you can listen to your own music while doing them. i still do this routine sometimes on days that i don't do a cardio workout. i also add wieghts to some of the moves to increase the intensity.
Rating: Summary: Good workout especially for plateaus Review: This was a very well cued video for Kathy (I've seen some reviews where people mention she doesn't cue well, which sometimes can be true). It has modifications for higher and lower intensity; I switch from one intensity to the other during the video and like this flexibility. As far as mixed intensity videos go, this one is quite good. The moves are very easy to learn. If you have been working out for a few years, you may find it too easy, but I still use it every now and again to mix things up a bit.
Rating: Summary: pretty awesome Review: I like this video. It gives you a pretty good workout. One of my favorite things about it is that she shows you different ways to do different exercises for different fitness levels. It is an interval workout. Each interval si two minutes long. She will do exercises to get you out of breath for two min., and then you will do exercises to tone your lower body for 2 minutes. There is also a great warm up and a great cool down.
Rating: Summary: I LOVE this tape.... Review: As a fitness enthusiast, I just love Kathy Smith, but in fact, who doesn't? She, as usual, keeps you motivated and moving. Two important factors when working out to exercise videos. This tape is fabulous specifically because of the great strength recovery moves that she does, and the high, pump it up, cardio/interval segments. Bonus is that the tape is only 30-35 minutes!!! Wow! This tape is great for intermediate/advanced.
