Rating: Summary: All worked up with no where to go! Review: A started the Leslie Sansone workouts 5 weeks ago. I started with the 1-mile tape and could hardly keep up. But, because I was determined to get fit I did the tape every day for the first week. The second week I did the two mile and the third week I did the three-mile. But, I need more of a challenge. So, now I am doing the 4-mile tape 6 days a week. Its wonderful. I have lost several inches and my husband says that I look better than ever. I plan to continue on my road to fitness as long as God allows. Thank Leslie and hope to see you soon in St. Louis doing a 4-mile class!
Rating: Summary: I absolutely love this video! Review: I absolutely LOVE this video! It is fast-paced, and you can really feel that it is intense enough to burn many unwanted calories. It is about forty-five (45) minutes long, so it may be harder to fit into your schedule than the 1 or 2 mile tapes. But I like this tape the best because it works your legs, quads, thighs, triceps, biceps, waistline, and abs! It is challenging, so it is probably not for beginners. It makes you really sweat, and I like that quality in a work out video because it shows that your body is working hard to burn lots of calories! I like the fact that I can walk (POWER walk!) three miles in my own living room with the air conditioning on and the curtains clothes! This video is definitely worth your money, and I would recommend it to everyone!
Rating: Summary: Great workout but too much chatter Review: This is a great workout. I've used all 3 tapes and have had very good results. It would be even better if Leslie was the only one who had a speaking role. I've grown tired of her chatty friends, especially on the 2 and 3 mile tapes, and have had to switch to other Leslie tapes where the folks are less talkative.
Rating: Summary: My Favorite! Review: This was the 1st Leslie Sansone video I bought and before that, I'd never heard of her. For me, someone working to become fit, this intermediate level is great. She talks a lot through the whole thing, so if chattiness bothers you, you will probably be bothered. But she comes across as very genuine, so I think of her like a talkative friend. I love the handweights used to give you a fuller workout. Also, Leslie gives you a warm-up that gradually gets you going. I hate tapes that have you jumping around in the first 3 minutes. But make no mistake, if you give it a real effort, you'll be sweating by the end of the tape. Unless you are REALLY fit, I'm sure this video will work for you.
Rating: Summary: How great are these videos? Let me count the miles .... Review: I LOVE these tapes. I have a two-year old and NO time to get to the gym. The walk away the pounds tapes help me tremendously. The one mile was not very challenging, but I alternate between the two-mile and three-mile tapes. I just ordered the four mile for days when I have more time and energy. They are excellent, safe, low-impact workouts. The only drawback is that Leslie is a bit chatty, which can wear on you if you use the tapes everyday, like I do. On a more positive note, the exercise program is safe and effective. I especially like the option of using weights, which really helps make the walking more effective. I would recommend these tapes for those who have been sendentary for a while, those who have injuries that preclude more vigorous workouts, and those who just want a safe, effective workout. Combined with changes in my diet, I've lost 20 pounds so far, certainly in part to walking away the pounds. I highly recommend all of Leslie's tapes to anyone looking to start and maintain a reasonable, effective workout routine.
Rating: Summary: Not chanllenging enough Review: Although I deff. would reccomend this for people older and it is a good work out for those days you just have to fit SOMETHING in because you don't feel like any heavy duty working out it was not very challenging. I started at 3 miles completely skipping all the others and used 5 lbs weight. It did raise my heart, but I doubt I was in my goal range.
Rating: Summary: Absolutely perfect! Review: I'm pretty athletic, but the jogging/jump roping kind of athletic, not the coordinated ballerina kind of athlete, so exercise videos have always been difficult for me to follow. This routine is completely different. The first time I watched it, I was able to follow all of the upper body and lower body moves. I found it challanging too. Because I weight train three times a week, I opt not to use the weights, which Leslie incorporates into the routine about 25 minuets into it, which means the last mile is sort of a cool down for me. One of the best parts of the video is the instructor, who is upbeat without being annoying, and the fact that her group of demonstrators are real women of all different sizes and ages. If you hate traditional exercise videos, this is the one for you!
Rating: Summary: Good lazy day work-out Review: I have never worked out to her other tapes, I went straight to the 3 mile. I work out often so this routine was not difficult for me. I did not even break a sweat. Afterwards, I did feel a little burn in my thighs, but that is because I squated more in the workout than Leslie called for. This is not enough of a work out for my daily use, but, it will be real nice on the days when I just don't have the energy for a full blown workout.I found Leslie to be nice but not annoying.
Rating: Summary: Leslie's the Best! Review: Wow, exactly what the ailing fitness industry needs..... a super, down to earth Instructor. Leslie gets you moving with simple steps, and focuses on your heart rate. Unlike other typical instructors, Leslie doesn't force you to learn silly, complicated routines! If you are serious about being fit, Leslie's videos are for you.
Rating: Summary: booooooring Review: I thought this workout was pretty boring- you march & march. Leslie is very irritating, too. If you're just starting out or are limited in the kinds of activity you can do it is probably pretty good (if you can turn the sound off.......)
