Summary: Takes endurance
Review: I have had dance training, but after two babies, I am not in shape. This tape requires practice and ptience. The warm up section is easy enough, but the dance part can be too quick for the amateur. The first few run throughs you spend getting lost. I have done this tape now for six straight days and have now learned the dances, but that is where the endurance comes in. Once you can do the dance, you get no rest stop and the tape is almost an hour. So if you like Paula and like to dance, try it. It is fun and something you can take with you to a dance floor once you have some technique. If you can't dance well, and are not in shape, pass this up. You will just be dissatisfied. The up side is that I am sure that you will get results from this workout once you can keep up!

Summary: Fast Pace Dancing Workout
Review: First, I want to say, that the people that are dancing on this tape, had hours of practice....I agree with Madison, WI. I tried this with sneakers on carpet, and you are unable to move as fast as Paula. I became discouraged, and almost gave the tape away. But I tried again, with socks on, and found I had better movement. But Paula goes to fast for me, so I am breaking down the video into "little dances", and when I master one, I go on to the next dance. All the time getting closer and closer to doing the complete tape in one session. Otherwise, I found this tape to be a nice break from other dance tapes, more upbeat and hip.

Summary: Annoying And Complicated!
Review: This is the worst workout tape ever for a beginner. The fact that most people work out on carpet and cant do her moves on carpet make it difficult to start with, also they move so fast that its even more difficult to follow for a beginner or non-dancer. I did play the tape all of the way through and attempted a few times to do the workout. I couldnt listen to the whole thing (had to turn the volume off to keep from going insane) because the entire tapes dance music is her song "Promise of a new day" The ETERNAL REMIX FROM HELL! Gilad is by far the safest, easiest and most effective workout I have tried. Paula go back to cheerleading & music because an aerobics instructor your not!

Summary: Excellent variety and energy!
Review: I can't believe I just exercised for an hour. It was more fun than any other video I have done, and before you know it, it's over. Even if you can't get the steps right away, they go slow enough for you to keep moving and get a workout. I can see this video never getting boring because each time you do it you can work on mastering the moves. Paula rules!

Summary: Challenging but entertaining and fun
Review: I have suddenly become a workout video tape maniac and I need to keep alot of variety in my workout schedule. Being a stay-at-home mother of 2 small girls I was feeling out of touch with the world. This video was SO fun. I don't know how much aof a workout I had because I have only done it once, but I felt like a dancer. The moves are quite difficult, but I have only done it once and I know after a few times I will feel like I could be on that video. It was very fun and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to put some fun and funk into their workout routine.

Summary: Fun with minor flaws
Review: This is by far the funnest exercise video I own, but it does have limitations. Benefits: Fun, learn real dance moves, awesome sit-up routine that works on all abdominal muscles, some room for free form. Flaws: Hard to do on carpet, moves are not thoroughly explained, some at expense of possible joint/muscle injury, some moves difficult to keep up with. All and all, I recommend it for variety and a change of pace...not for beginners.

Summary: Just like dance class...
Review: As someone who wants to be more fit but hates cardio machines in the gym, I found this tape to be an answer to my prayers. It's fun to do and the music is great. I look forward to doing it, and enjoy it when I do! I get a wonderful workout, I get to dance, and best of all, it's fun. It does help, however, if you have some dance experience, because she uses a few terms that may not be familiar to someone who hasn't taken a class before. I recommend this to anyone who is looking to get in shape, loves to dance and finds it hard to get motivated (like me!).

Summary: Great fun!
Review: It is such a wonderful video. A few years back I used to do dancing and aerobics but after I became a mother I found it difficult to stick to a fitness programme and I wanted to find something that I would enjoy and do at my own pace to be fit again. I am so glad I found this video, I have so much fun doing the workout. Paula is just great and makes you feel that you can really do it. I wish she could make more videos like this one. I must admit that you need to have some coordination to get the steps quicker. Anyway it is worth buying. So, what are you waiting for?

Summary: EXCELLENT workout, but it will take some work!
Review: this is such a great video! it is so much fun. it is one of the few exercise videos that i actually look foward to doing. it is a great arobic workout complete with some abdominal and stretching moves at the end. however, the only downside is that it will take work to master the moves, especially if you are uncoordinated. but all you have to do is rewind the tape and keep trying! don't give up. this is a fun workout with incredible, and fast results!

Summary: The most fun I have ever had!
Review: I am by no means a dancer. I was in search for something a little more challenging than the current workout video I use. I am still a beginner at aerobics but I wanted something more fun. I came across Get Up and Dance and tried it. The steps are hard but after only one night, I managed to get through stage one and half of stage 2. Paula Abdul is a fun instructor who is full of enegergy. She makes it fun and interesting. It doesn't even feel like you are working out, the music is great, and you can learn some really cool dance moves!
