Rating: Summary: I thought this video was a little too hippie-dippy. Review: I understand that yoga is suppose to be a spiritual experience, but the video was too werid for me to sit through. If you are like me and just want great excersise without all the werid mombo-jumbo, you may want to avoid this one.
Rating: Summary: Great workout for stress and pain relief Review: I loved this workout. No matter how tired I was at the end of the day, this tape was my savior. 3-4 times a week kept me relaxed, toned and free of swelling and back pain. Long after I stopped my regular exercise program (7 months), I was able to do this tape. I recommended it to all my pregnant friends.
Rating: Summary: Love this video!! Moves quickly and feels so good. Review: I was very surprised how much I love this video, it grows better all the time. As I progress, I feel stronger yet always safe from strain. I actually look forward to excercise, and want to add more to my workout.
Rating: Summary: Great video for you and your baby!! Review: I really enjoy this video, and do it several times a week. It helps relax me, and relieves my sore back. I look forward to doing this video and spending quality time with my baby. A must-have for mothers-to-be who are interested in yoga.
Rating: Summary: Very good Review: I have enjoyed this video. Prior to pregnancy I was very active and practiced yoga several times per week. However, because of a lower energy level and some swelling in my hands, I wanted to learn postures that were more "pregnant-friendly". This video was the one I was looking for! It's perfect for a pregnant body. The moves feel good and we're getting the exercise we need.
Rating: Summary: recommend for pregnant moms Review: I have thoughoughly enjoyed this yoga video. I do it once a week to keep me in tune with my pregnant body as well as my baby! I would not rely on it as my only yoga workout but it is a nice change. It's a video I will definently buy for other pregnant friends and family.
Rating: Summary: The New Method: Baby & Mom - Prenatal Yoga Review: I loved this yoga workout! It was a little weird at first, but once I got used to it, I did it 2-3x/week for 5 months. This is my fourth and best pregnancy and I feel I owe it all to this yoga workout.
Rating: Summary: Too new age for me! Review: I prefer the crunch yoga dvd much better. It isn't as tacky as this silly dvd.
Rating: Summary: No chanting for me, thanks Review: I actually liked the "workout". I even got sweaty, which I did not expect (especially since I'm used to tougher pilates and yoga, and cardio/weights), but that's because I really tried to "work" while I was drowning out the crazy guru lady. I really thought she was a nut job.
Still, I enjoyed the stretching and the thinking about things she was saying once in awhile. I kept thinking they looked a little cultish following their preguru. There was one part where I got kind of emotional and weepy, but I think that's just because I'm at 10 weeks. I could also see this being a pretty easy/comfortable workout at 30 weeks.
I did not chant at all. No way. Not my thing. Although I could see myself setting this up (in the privacy of my own home!) with some dim lights or candles and really getting into it (there is a lot of eyes closed balancing and swaying). I'm emo that way these days.
I'd do this again, it was incredibly relaxing to do after a long work day and to get right into bed afterwards, while I was so super relaxed, was just heavenly.
Rating: Summary: Very new-agey Review: I got this as a gift from my yoga instructor and thought, "It must be good if she recommends it." WRONG! This is a very hokey video--lots of chanting, which I'm not all that into. I'd been doing yoga for about 2 years prior to becoming pregnant for a frame of reference. Half of the stuff you do during this video isn't really yoga at all. I'm currently looking for a new prenatal yoga video...
