Rating: Summary: Cindy Crawford - The Next Challenge Review: Started getting into shape January 1999. I started off borrowing my friend's Shape Your Body Video and loved it. Other tapes have too much aerobics. When I tried The Next Challenge, I love it. I love the format and the music. I wish Radu can be my personal trainer. I can't wait until Cindy comes out with her next workout video.
Rating: Summary: If you want to sweat...you've come to the right place. Review: I'm in fairly good shape. I work out at the gym 5-7 days a week. One day this winter when I couldn't get out of the house, I borrowed my roommate's copy of this workout. I sweated so hard I couldn't believe it! I was even more stunned the next day when I could feel how sore my muscles were! Cindy does a terrific job in this video. It is enough to stretch even the most fit person, but is slow and safe enough for someone who isn't so advanced. I highly recommend it, and am going to get a copy for myself now!
Rating: Summary: Not aerobic, but great toning and strengthening Review: In her second video with fitness "guru" Radu, Cindy approaches this tape with more caution than the first, which was much maligned for being "unsafe". There is even a glossary at the end to show you proper adjustments and movements for trickier exercises. I like the lack of repetition here- they tend to do each exercise for one set and then move on to something else. Unlike the first video, this is one workout, not three. It's a bit longer, clocking in at about an hour. Head to toe, it's a great workout for toning and strengthening. You will be sore in all the right places. There are even some great, gentle back strengthening exercises after the last set of abs. She also breaks the ab sets up with upper body in between, which is a nice change and enables you to do more, I think. It starts with legs, as usual, and they are very athletic movements; everything from kickboxing moves to broad jumps to sumo wrestling-style squats. Overall, I really found this to be fun, safe and really challenging. Since none of the Crawford workouts are predominantly aerobic, I do suggest alternating these tapes with cardiovascular work, like walking, jogging, step aerobics, etc. But I was very happy with this tape.
Rating: Summary: worth buying twice! Review: Well I'm back and writing another reveiew for Cindy's other workout tape. I've been doing Cindy's "A New Deminsion" for the past four months after having a baby and decided it was time for a more challenging tape..."The Next Challenge". Back when this tape was first released, I had worked out with it and remembered it was a great tape. From all the moving around in my college years somehow my favorite tape got lost.... I decided I enjoyed her tape so much I wanted another one. Yesterday was the first time I did the workout in years...and my body sure does hurt! This tape will not bore you, but challenge your body and mind. Cindy is such a beautiful person and doesn't have an emaciated body as other models do. I especially love the different sceneries and MTV syle of video; it keeps you interested. And if you like variety in a workout, this is for you. I am looking foward to my next workout and seeing some tone in my body...I know I will from having been sore today and sweating as much as I did when I was working out!
Rating: Summary: The best workout I have ever done Review: I am a dancer, so I wanted to have something else on the side to exercise all the muscles that dancing doesn't always reach. Plus, I wanted to get stronger. So I tried a Richard Simmons video. It was okay the first time but it was not challenging and I found it extremely annoying as well. So I saw this one in the store and thought I'd give it a try. WOW!! I have finally found a workout that was perfect for me! (I quickly tossed the Richard Simmons video.) I have only been doing it for a couple of weeks, and I'm feeling much more energetic and I'm losing some weight as well. After I did it for the first time, I was very, very achy, but not sore. The achiness was just a sign that it was working. So after sticking with it and doing it everyday, the achiness has left and I'm doing it a lot more easily now. It's not Hard, per se, it's just challenging. And if you stick with it you'll be glad you did!! It's amazing!
Rating: Summary: If you need a great workout, this is it! Review: I am so relieved that this workout is finally on DVD. I have been saving my old VCR to play this workout video and hoping that eventually it would be released on DVD. My prayers have been answered. I can now get rid of my noisy VCR and put my "Next Challenge" video to rest. This workout gives me the best toned abs, thighs, arms and shoulders. You do not have to learn any dance steps or difficult routines. I try to do the workout at least 4 times a week. I just turned 47 and thanks to this workout I have a hard body. I have been doing the workout since 1995. My sister told me about the video. When I went to visit I tried it. I was hooked. You do ache on your first few times doing the workout. It is worth it when you see the results.

Rating: Summary: Great workout in spite of editorial review Review: This is the only Cindy C tape I have, but I think it's great.
Very Challenging
No cheese or fluff
Good timing/queues
Nice setting, different
Not boring
I'd like to know which 'other' DVD's the editorial review is referring to.
Rating: Summary: A DEFINITE CHALLENGE!! Review: I've never worked out before, because I never felt like I worked hard at the end. Not even with Tae-Bo!! I saw this video in a video store where I live, and thought I'd give it a try. I was NOT disappointed! I was so sore the next day! I loved it! Not only did I see immediate results in the change of my body, but my self esteem definitely was lifted as well. After awhile, it became more important to work out for the benefit of being healthy, rather than trying to have Cindy's great body haha! I have recommended this tape to all of my friends. I also went out and bought the first tape, and was equally impressed and amazed at the results.
Rating: Summary: Not much different then the first excersise video. Review: Ms. Price's review of Cindy's second workout video seemed more interested on blasting the content without really watching to see if this was a better video on work outs or not, so I bought it myself and watched it, It's really not that different from the first video, although it's better told on how to do these excerises, and this time there was real medical personal there to better explain the workouts used. Cindy still did not need these workouts to look great, it was once again just cheap marketing to sell a product.
