Rating: Summary: Wonderful Exercises Review: I'm probably like most people who hate the word exercise. Since a friend of mine is a Pilates teacher, I thought I would check it out and see what Pilates is all about. I started out with this beginners tape by Ana Caban and have progressed to the intermediate tape and I look forward, unbelievably so, to putting the tape in and exercising. I feel the difference; it is a motivating style of exercise and worth any price to get started doing Pilates with Ana Caban. So anyone who hates to exercise will love this. It may be difficult to start but you will quickly fall in love with this style of exercise.
Rating: Summary: Great Video! Review: I can't wait for more videos with Ana. I have been her student since she opened her first studio in Miami. I live now in Cleveland, Ohio and work as Certified TRAGER Practtioner,which deals specificaly with movement re-education and also am a flight attendant. This video goes with me everywhere. It is wonderful to be able to do my ADVANCED routine from any hotel room, all over the world. It keeps me completely flexible to keep injury and pain free while working. Rating: Summary: GREAT VIDEO Review: I TAKE A PILATES CLASS THREE TIMES A WEEK, AND HAVE PURCHASED SEVERAL PILATES VIDEO JUST TO BE DISAPPOINTED. THIS IS THE FIRST VIDEO THAT I HAVE USED THAT IS ACTUALLY LIKE A PILATES CLASS. EXCELLENT INSTRUCTOR AND EASY TO FOLLOW!

Rating: Summary: A new way of thinking about exercise Review: I bought this video on a whim and LOVE it. It provides a whole new way to look at exercising. I was able to perform all the exercises on the video after a few attempts. There was noticible improvement in my abdominal muscles in a few weeks. The best part of the video is that it introduces a new way to think about exercise. I've found myself incorporating parts of the workout into my stretching routine at the gym, and can even credit the video with getting me into the gym to do my cardio workout.
Rating: Summary: What a workout!! Review: If you want to do an exercise that isn't difficult, but definitely gives you a great workout, then try this!! It is amazing. I consider myself in decent shape, but I found myself working muscles that I have never used before. Ana Caban is an amazing instructor and gives you all of the basics before you even get started. It is easy to follow and before you know it, it's over! You will feel your muscles working from just one workout!! I highly reccomend this video to everyone!
Rating: Summary: Pilates - Mat Based Workout for Beginners VHS Review: I love this workout. When I put it in the VCR I thought well, I'll just watch first, (that's my basic cop out with all exercies videos)! However, because of the way Ana Caban gives you all the information that you need to start this workout, "before she actually goes into it" I was hooked and started right away.Before I knew it my workout was over, time was up, and I was still wanting "more"! Actually I was shocked that my workout was "over" finished! As soon as I have the moves in this workout smooth and under control, I'm going to start adding her Intermeidate Workout as well. I loved it! Starting with a basic workout that "can" be done easily is like a breath of fresh air. I highly recommend this for everyone on a daily basis! Another great thing about this work out is that is calming, while at the same time you can feel the benefits of your muscles working for you! Buy It!
Rating: Summary: Fun, hip workout Review: I have been using both the Beginning Mat Workout and Intermediate Mat Workout tapes in this series for a few weeks now, and I love them! I can feel and see the most benefits in my abs and posture, but Pilates is a great overall workout -- a point that doesn't seem to be brought up too often. The leg pulls have increased my flexibility, and Pilates-style push-ups (in the Intermediate Mat Workout) work your arms. The workout is fun and exhilarating, not draining. And I agree with other reviewers that Ana Caban is a refreshingly non-ditzy and fun instructor. And just looking at Ana's lean, fit body and that of Tara Russell, who demonstrates the modified versions of the moves, is enough to sell you on Pilates.
Rating: Summary: Great for Beginners! Review: This video is fantastic! I really had no idea what was involved with Pilates, and this is a great introduction. I was very surprised how simple it is to go through. This is an encouraging video and leads to further interests in these exercises. I am glad I bought it!
Rating: Summary: watch out jeans, i'm throwing you out for a smaller pair! Review: Ana Caban is the best!! She brings the method more to life than anyone else. I seriously thought I'd never loose my second belly, you know, the one below your belly button, but with this video (and don't buy it if you're just going to use it as a dust collector) it's melting away, or should i say, i'm kicking it to the curb. Seriously, this video is great for those of us with stubborn ab'flab but it also does much much more :) !
