Rating: Summary: artistic beyond expectations Review: artistically and visually stunning! excellent soundtrack. Eric is inspiring and pleasant to listen to. for beginners however, i feel that there is not enough positioning information to be totally safe. for those who know and love yoga, get ready to be charmed by this "film".
Rating: Summary: Very Challenging, Wonderful Workout Review: I am new at yoga so this was a real challenge for me. But it was the best low impact aerobic excercise routine I have ever done. I loved it and felt wonderful afterwords. I was actually relaxed. I highly reccomend this video for people that have a stressful day and need to unwind. I look forward to doing this video any time I have a chance.
Rating: Summary: nice to look at but could use improvement Review: It was a stunning visual image to watch the multi-cultural, inter-generational yoga models perform perfectly synchonized postures in a lovely setting, demonstrating their extreme flexibility. Unfortunately, the video did not offer alternatives for people who lack the flexibility to safely enter the postures; a less visually appealing but more effective video might show some of the presenters using blocks, straps, or other props. Also, the video didn't start with any centering aside from a short breathing exercise. This video would be very well suited for someone who has studied yoga before and is looking for some interesting new routines to add to his or her practice.
Rating: Summary: Superior production and instruction Review: The finest yoga video I have ever seen. Top-notch editing, unsurpassed camera work (with both background scenery and yoga postures), ethereal music and first-rate instruction make this video a must-have. Fabulous addition to anyone's workout video library.
Rating: Summary: The best yoga video I have found! Review: At 50, I was anxious to return to doing yoga, which I had done for many years, but had not done in at least 5. It was hard to begin, but have used and recommended regularly for several years. Am looking now for another by the same people to vary the routine and for friends who believe this seems too difficult when just beginning. Have tried many others and they just don't seem quite as good for me.
Rating: Summary: Exquisite visuals and a relaxing yet challenging workout Review: This video is beautiful and relaxing. I really look forward to practicing yoga every day with this tape and always am disappointed when it ends. The instructor is fabulous and has a calming voice and manner. As a yoga beginner, a few of the poses are challenging but after 5 or 6 times through the tape, they are getting easier. These challenging poses allow you to set goals for yourself and prevent you from getting bored with the tape. Although I like that there is not a lot of extraneous instruction, a little more focus on proper breathing would be helpful. A wonderful way to get in shape and reduce stress!
Rating: Summary: Awesome! Review: This video was great--poses were well instructed and the video had outstanding production values. Probably the best yoga video I've seen yet!
Rating: Summary: Superb, no other Yoga video is in this league Review: This video is superior to others for several reasons. The Yoga instruction by Eric Schiffman is clear, well thought out, and challenging. The actors doing the poses are unbelievable. They will inspire you to do your best. The scenery is stunning as is the production. The music (especially the songs by Dead Can Dance) is mesmerizing. This tape is entertaining enough to simply watch without doing any of the exercises!
Rating: Summary: effective and to the point Review: gorgeous presentation, inspiring music and moves challenging enough to keep you interested and keep you on a track to mastering the tape. I like the fact that the tape concentrates mostly on the poses and not too heavily on the breathing. I have an hour a day to work out and don't want to spend it breathing. I have been doing Yoga for 5 years and i still found the tape challenging. But be warned: you could definately hurt yourself if this is your fisrt try at Yoga.
Rating: Summary: I sold it at my garage sale... Review: Just didn't do it for me...I prefer Bryan Kest's Power Yoga
