Rating: Summary: Great video for the beginner like me! Review: I'm a beginner in yoga and this is the first video tape I bought. I'm doing it on almost a daily basis since 2 months now and I am really getting much more flexible. I couldn't do some of the poses at first, not like they do it in the video. But that doesn't really matter. Just go as far as you can. It get's easier every time and it feels great to wake up in the morning not being stiff anymore! I wouldn't want to miss yoga ever again! My only complaint is that the poses are hard to make out sometimes. I bought the book after 1 week so I know exactly where to place my hand etc. Oh and, I don't think it's too hard for the beginner!
Rating: Summary: Beautiful. Review: I think this video is beautifully filmed, great music and with easy to follow instructions. It is a great workout and a challenge to do.
Rating: Summary: too easy Review: i suppose it is a good video if you are truly a beginner and are not very flexible, however i am not an expert myself and i wasn't very challenged. believe it or not the meager buns of steel power yoga video is a shorter but much more intense work-out.
Rating: Summary: Great in every way! Review: This is the first yoga video I have ever owned and I have not been disappointed in the least. It is a great workout and leaves you feeling energized and relaxed at the same time.Highly recomended!
Rating: Summary: Love this video. Review: I wish that Ali would make another one. I have done this video everyday for the last ten days and am able to see a remarkable difference in my flexibility. For some reason I am more relaxed and able to sleep better at night
Rating: Summary: This video tape is challenging and fun! Review: As a beginner, I found this tape to be easy to follow. I really got a great workout! The music is wonderful and Eric's voice & instructions are soothing. I recommend this video to anyone who wants a challenge and can follow directions. In fact, I am making the transition from Group Fitness Instructor to Yoga Instructor.
Rating: Summary: Empowering and all-consuming Review: This being my first yoga experience I wasn't sure what to expect or what I would be able to accomplish but, it is an amazing 55 minute experience that I highly recommend. After using the video I was surprised at how much my breathing, flexibility and posture had improved. Some of the poses are difficult but how can you progress if you are not challenging yourself. One bit of advice: I would strongly suggest using a non-slip padded mat.
Rating: Summary: Your mind and body are instantly taken away to serenity. Review: As a beginner, I found this video to be very easy. I look forward to jumping out of bed each morning and get myself going. Just from the background scene's, the music, and the calm soothing voice of Erich Schiffman, you are instantly taken away to another place. To a warm, peaceful, calm, place where you feel so much energy. The only part I had a problem with was the tree pose, but after doing it a few times, you get the hang of it. The easy instuctions that Erich gives you makes you go into the poses with ease. I highly recommend it.
Rating: Summary: Terrific Video for Runners Review: As a runner and a first time yoga person, I loved this video! Not only does it stretch legs muscles in a very thorough and relaxing way but it calms and soothes the mind. I like the MTV format and music. It is modern and not cheesy. The White Sands park is beautiful to see when you are not deep in a pose. I highly recommend it - I am hooked on yoga now!
Rating: Summary: tough for first-timers Review: My first yoga experience -- and, although I am young and fit, I injured myself. Be careful if this is your first. Slow movements are not always safe movements.
