Rating: Summary: mothers this is the one you have been searching for Review: after having my 2nd child i wanted to get back to my prepregnancy weight before the kids. i also wanted to lower my cholesterol level by incorperating excersise and diet into my life. i want to be around for my kids. i found this video while browsing one late nite and bought it. i figured i had tried everything else why not this. Well it is the best of cindy and kathy kaehler is the best trainer. being a mother herself, she takes you step by step into each session with a calm demeanor yet she makes you feel that you can do it. This video is divided into a 12 min, 16 min and 40 min workout. Use it as much possible together or alone. the 40 min workout is a tough one but 2x a week is all it takes to make you firm. i am happy to back in the best shape even better than before i had my kids, thanks to this video. i now have a love for working out and staying healthy and use this video along with several others i also do now. thank you cindy and kathy !!
Rating: Summary: This is great! Review: This is probably not for experienced exercise freaks but there are plenty of videos out there for them. I'm 38, out-of-shape, the mother of 8 and my body was starting to show it. I bought this tape on a whim and am I glad. I'm not a supermodel fan but Cindy comes across as just an ordinary new mom who wants to get back in shape. I don't know what she looked like before her baby, but she is a beautiful woman with breasts and curves - I'm tired of the stick-look (ala Allie McBeal.)I've seen a big difference in my fitness level and strength - I alternate Workouts A & B (adding 20 min. exercise bike) with Workout C. I still can't do the push-ups but I'm starting to keep up with the rest of the video. I love the low-key approach, up-to-date outfits & music, and very professional production with interesting multiple camera shots. I also am really enjoying using weights - I worked my way up from one pound to three pound. Any suggestions from anyone on what would be a good video to buy that has a similiar laid-back, calm, but challenging approach? I'd like to alternate with a more demanding routine as I really start to get in shape. I've given away all the bouncy, 80's, bubble-gum, complicated-dance-step videos that I never really used.
Rating: Summary: Excellent for those getting back in shape Review: After a long hiatus from workouts, I tried some of my old tapes and they were way too arduous. This is nice because it allows you to regain your fitness slowly, carefully and safely. It's more than just for post-partum moms; I would recommend it for anyone who had a good level of fitness, stopped for awhile and now wants to get back into exercise. I really liked it.....and no pain the next day!
Rating: Summary: The Perfect Post-Natal Workout! Review: Just what I needed to get me working out again! This tape is geared towards an intermediate exerciser. It's divided into three separate workouts, that can be combined if you want. The first workout (workout A; 10 min.) is designed for getting you started. It contains stretching, kegels, pelvic tilts, light abs, and light toning without weights. Workout B is 15 min., and is the next step. It contains stretching, light cardio, toning with light weights, squats, push-ups, lunges, abs, pelvic tilts, and kegels. Combining workouts A and B makes a great 25 min. workout. Workout C is 40 min., and is a complete full-body workout with cardio and weights. It contains stretching, weights and cardio intervals, squats, lunges, push-ups, leg toning, abs, and kegels. It stands well on it's own as a great workout. You could also combine it with workouts A and B, for an hour of stretching, cardio, and weights. The video is beautifully photographed. The music is excellent, with modern, real music; like they play on the radio. Not that terrible workout elevator music. There's also some footage of Cindy pregnant and with her new baby. I love this tape, and I think you will too!
Rating: Summary: This is not JUST for post pregnancy! GREAT for anyone! Review: I just got this tape and it is great. I have been working out for a couple of months and am in pretty good shape, and really wanted it for the third workout (the tape consists of 3 workouts A, B and C). I love Cindy's first tape, and I really liked the fact that it wasn't a lot of aerobics, but mostly toning, the kind that makes you sweat, and it included a warm up and cool down. If you like her first tape you'll like this one; they are very similar in video editing and format, with a few similar moves. I didn't do work out A (10 mins for anytime, anywhere) or B (16 mins), both of which are shorter and easier than C. C is a 40 minute workout that includes a warm up, then toning arms with weights in bicep curls, arm raises, tricep extensions, and many more to work all of your arm muscles (maybe 10 in all). Then you move on to working the legs by doing some squats, plies, kicks, butt exercises, and some non-impact aerobic moves while you hold your weights. There are many moves, all easy to do, and a good variety to keep you moving. Finally you work the stomach with about 5 different kinds of crunches. The video has mellow music (in the pop/rock genre)- not too fast and not dance music. There are a lot of different angles and shots during the workout (Cindy on the beach, in the studio, etc.) very aesthetically pleasing... I definitely enjoyed the workout. Good for anyone just getting into a workout routine with the intro workout A, good for post-pregnancy, and good for those who have been working out to all kinds of tapes if you want something new and different.
Rating: Summary: Great Inspirational workout Review: I received this DVD yesterday and have used it twice. It is a pleasant surprise to see a workout by a supermodel that is so professional and interesting. There are attractive beach scenes in the background and the music is quite good. Cindy is a real inspiration to watch and you do the moves hoping to look a fraction as good as she does. The workout delivers a really good thorough toning and stretching workout. I like the variety of exercises and you feel as if you are getting a workout by your personal trainer. I think that in a few weeks I will see the benefits of this well thought out workout and I hope to be well toned and stretched.
Rating: Summary: GREAT workouts!! Has great results too! Review: I love this tape! I have tons of WO tapes and this one is just right. The three workouts, A, B, and C, are perfect. The first one, A, starts me out when I haven't exercised in a long time or I don't have time to get all sweaty but want to feel excercised and stretched. B is like A but more challenging and more like real excercise. Then C, well, lets just say I'm still working on that challenge. If I can do ALL of C one day I will look great! I am 5 months pregnant with my 3rd and still do the simple workout A (substituting leg lifts for abdominal work) and I love it. The kids even do it with me sometimes. It's relaxing and HAS RESULTS in just a few short weeks. That's the only tape Ive ever done that I can say did that and I enjoyed it too!
Rating: Summary: Best workout for new moms and the not so fit Review: Two years ago I bought this tape with hopes of losing not only pregnancy weight, but, the other fat I had gained. I started off with part one, worked up to part two, and now I do part three four to five times a week. I went from a sixteen to an eight and am still dropping sizes! This is a full body- circuit workout. I have worn out my tape so I'm ordering it on DVD. It's not just a workout for new mothers, it's a great way for people who have never worked out to get started. This work out is not just Cindy but her trainer, Cathy, a real woman. You're annoyance radar will probably not go off with this one.
Rating: Summary: excellent workout for new moms Review: I had this video on VHS and used it when I was trying to get in shape for the first time in a while (when I was not yet a Mom). I loved it! Workout "A" was a bit too easy for me but it felt great to do and I would often use it in conjunction with Workout B, which was a medium-intensity workout. After a few weeks I also used Workout C a lot (I would alternate between B and C). Both workouts were effective in helping me tone and get back into shape. Now I have just had a baby and can't find the video so I am ordering the DVD. One of the things I liked best about the video was that you saw Cindy looking not-quite-perfect after the birth of her child--that footage was professionally spliced together with footage of her looking wonderful. That was really inspirational in the context of the video, which is very child friendly and calm. Great calming music. No funky dance moves...Just a good, calm but effective workout. Highly recommended!
Rating: Summary: A very good oops!!!!! Review: I was looking for a new exercise video, I have done them all pretty much. I loved Cindy's first one, and saw this one. I bought this one, not realizing it was for after having a baby. The first segments are great for those days you don't have time or energy for a long work out. And the C segment still kicks my rear end. I'm in pretty good shape, I work out several times a week, and I still love this one. One thing to keep in mind is that she is very monitone. She always has been, even when she had the house of style show, a long long long time ago (am I showing my age??). If you are one of those people that need perky, uplifting, shout at you exercise gurus you will not find it here. PRAISE THE LORD! I hope that you enjoy this video too!
