Rating: Summary: What a fun workout! Review: I love the Crunch Fat Burning Pilates workout! I have been doing the Pick Your Spot Pilates workout for awhile now (which I also love) and wanted to kick it up a notch. I tried the Fat Burning Pilates and loved it! It combines cardio and pilates moves to give you a well rounded workout. And the cardio portion of the workout does not wear you out like some other videos, deterring you from wanting to do it again. Another great feature is that if you are a beginner,there is a modified version of the move shown so you can still participate. Ellen is a great instructor too. I would recommend this workout to anyone!
Rating: Summary: An Engaging Workout Review: This was my first journey into Pilate's and I loved it. The video is fast paced, but not too complicated. I've been doing the routine six days a week for the last three weeks and I am already seeing results. The combinations are interesting and the routine it engaging enough to make you want to start exercising. I feel much more energized now and I notice how my body feels toned and active. I would recommend this video to people looking to start a routine that will keep them motivated to exercise.
Rating: Summary: A fun and challenging workout Review: I have been doing Pilates for one year and found this DVD to be a great addition to my current routine. The moves are challenging, the music is upbeat and motivating, and Ellen gives clear, easy-to-follow instructions. The cardio moves definitely get you into the "fat burning" zone (however, don't expect to get a full blown cardio workout). I would highly recommend this workout.
Rating: Summary: loved it Review: For me the intensity level of this workout is perfect. It is fun enough to keep me motivated, yet it is aerobic enough to give results. I feel like I can do this workout even on my weak days, and use it as a motivating warm-up on my strong ones.
Rating: Summary: Not what I was expecting..... Review: The cardio version is a little complicated for those who don't have a strong aerobics/rythm skills. However, the mat exercises are great and keep a faster pace than other pilates DVD's. A couple of the mat exercises need to have more reps. I'll do my own personal cardio and then do the mat exercise chapters twice. The drums can get annoying, but Ellen is great!
Rating: Summary: THE BEST EVER Review: This is the best workout ever. There are two parts, cardio and mat, less than 5 minutes into the cardio you'll be sweating like a pig (girls of course, glow). It's a good long cardio section andthe mat work is HARD. I couldn't finish it all, the first few time. I would like to make it clear that you need NO EXTRA EQUIPMENT. You feel great after. You need this DVD! It's good for all skill levels.
Rating: Summary: Great Cardio Workout Review: I only recently started doing pilates, I found this to be a great workout. I can hardly make it through the whole thing. I like the standing exercises in my other pilates program you do almost everything on a mat. In this program I would say 2/3 is standing 1/3 on the mat. This workout really got my heart pumping.
Rating: Summary: not heart pumping for me Review: I am a intermediate exerciser and workout around 4 to 5 hours a week. The moves in this video are fun, interesting, and challenging at times and the video does go by quickly, but it didn't get my heart pumping with it's extremely light aerobic (?) exercises in between the pilates poses. There are a whole lot of pile squats and squats in general and the instructor is clear and motivating. Also the live drummer in the backround also makes it fun and lively but i would not select this workout as one to aerobically challenge myself. It is a light workout with a great amount of toning exercises. Good but not at a fat burning pace unfortunatley!
Rating: Summary: LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS WORKOUT! Review: Pilates seemed dull to me, so I took a chance and bought this DVD since the description seemed more exciting. Let me tell you - time flies! I didn't look at the clock once! I was in a sort of trance and managed to do the entire dvd straight through. I even like the music. If your goal is to work up a sweat and get your heart pumping, but not bounce around, this is the workout for you.
Rating: Summary: Great for Beginners Review: I bought this video to supplement my regular running schedule and use it on days when I can't make it to the gym or outside to run. It's not intensive enough to make me work up a real sweat but I think it's a nice way for a beginning exerciser to get the blood flowing and to elevate the heart rate. If you are looking for a serious core/ab workout, this isn't the video for you.
