Rating: Summary: A DVD you can grow with Review: This workout is challenging (I've been doing it for a few months and still find Program 2 VERY challenging). Because you work with weights, you can add more weights as the exercises get easier, making this a workout you can grow with as your fitness level improves. Tamilee is not unpleasant to listen to and her conversation is often informative. Once you have the tape memorized there is an option to listen to the music only. GREAT DVD! Wish it included LEGS too :-(
Rating: Summary: Wow!!! Review: What a great DVD! The workouts on this DVD are extremely effective. Tamilee is a great instructor, encouraging, but not annoying. The music is pretty bad, but it's not too loud so I turn it down low. There are two workouts for each body part--abs, arms and buns. The second one of each is more advanced than the first. I had previously gotten Quick Fix-Total Mix, which is a good DVD, but this one is so much better. It packs much more into each workout. However, this one is much more challenging, so sometimes QF is better for easy days. There are some traditional movements and some that I hadn't done before. Tamilee moves quickly from one move to the next so your muscles don't have time to rest. I think that's part of what makes it so effective. It's also nice because you don't have to stand there waiting for her to explain the move after you've been doing it for a while. Both arms workouts are very challenging. There is a lot of work on the triceps and also biceps and shoulders. If you need a harder workout, you can just add more weight. The first abs workout is very challenging, the second one makes me sore for days. The second one includes a lot work for the obliques (the side of your abs). Both buns workouts are extremely challenging. The first one is actually pretty aerobic, it has me sweating and my heart pounding. She uses lunges with kicks so it helps with balance. This is an outstanding DVD to get your body in shape in a short amount of time. Good for beginners (although you'll be really sore for a while) all the way up to more advanced exercisers.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful Review: I would highly recommend this video to anyone who wants results without going to a gym. I find it motivating and simple. For the first time in my life, my arms are actually defined. Great video.
Rating: Summary: Excellent! Worth every penny! Review: The exercises that Tamilee does are easy to follow and really work! I can feel my muscles working ...and burning. Tamilee is a pleasure to follow and not annoying. She is also very knowledgeable and motivating. I also bought "Total Mix - Quick Fix" at the same and find that dvd less useful. The "total mix" women are annoying and spend too much time relaxing between exercises to get a good workout. The Tamilee DVD is much better!!
Rating: Summary: A challenge you will get!!! Review: Very good and challenging. In her DVD there are no breaks that what makes it such a challege. If you want to tone those abs, thighs, or buns this is it. She has a wide variety of excercises to do. I've bought work out DVD before and after I viewed them they were given to someone else or thrown out. You will definately not do it to this DVD.
Rating: Summary: Excellent, effective workouts for your arms, abs, and buns! Review: I just received this DVD and have gone through the whole thing. It is divided into 3 workouts - Arms, Abs & Buns. Two 15 minute programs are offered for each of the three, with the second program being harder than the first. The DVD allows you to quickly select a program. A chair and hand weights are required for some of the programs. I have only had this a week and it has already replaced all of my other strength training videos. Tamilee Webb, as usual, has a very quiet and professional style which I prefer over the "cute" instructors. She reminds you about correct form, and is very easy to follow. The music in this DVD is unobtrusive. It's a very professional package and well worth the money. I have been working out for about 4 months, and consider myself to be at an intermediate level of fitness. I found the Arms segment to be quick but effective. The moves are simple, but really target the arms and shoulders. If it gets too easy - just move to a heavier set of weights. The Abs segment is also very effective. Both programs have some very difficult moves. Some of the moves are the classics, some are new. Program 2 concentrates more on the sides than Program 1, but all areas of the abs are worked in both. The Buns segment is very tough. I almost didn't even do that section. I am a serious bicyclist and don't really need to work my glutes. However, I had a tough time getting through the workout, and I really felt it the next day!
Rating: Summary: You will get that body! Review: I was hesitant to purchase a workout video because I did not think I would get much out of it. But I have been slacking in my fitness and never liked going to the gym because I like to work out in private. After I did the workout I could definetly feel the results. I also like the way Tamilee explains what exercises are working with what muscles. There were a couple of exercises that were difficult but after you do the video several more times you can do them better. Most of the exercises are simple but have great impact on your body.
Rating: Summary: EXCELLENT DVD!! Review: This is by far the best workout DVD (or video) I have ever done! It's fun to do, motivational, challenging yet easy enough for a beginner, and Tamilee doesn't get irritating to listen to like some instructors. After 2 weeks, I have noticed amazing results (as has my husband)...I didn't expect it to work so fast! I would recommend this DVD to everyone. You have nothing to lose. It only takes 15 minutes of your day, if you're pressed for time. You will be impressed with your results, too! This is the best $20 I've ever spent.
Rating: Summary: This DVD truly gets you what you want Review: I have the expensive gym membership, and I use it regularly. But when I want an effective, relativly short, challenging toning session at home, Tamilee's DVD is what I rely on. It occupies a permanent place in my DVD tray. This was the first at-home exercise video I had purchased. I was initially reluctant because I am not the type of person who is generally motivated enough to exercise at home. Tamilee's toning routines though have a guaranteed built-in motivator - results. Divided into three routines geared for women's "trouble spots" (abs, arms, and butt), there is a beginners and an advanced program for each zone. Tamilee utilizes scientific lab studies to deliver the most effective exercises targeted to deliver maximum results. As an instructor, Tamilee is informative and supportive, not annoying or distracting. I was truly challenged by the exercises, some of which are conventional (like the basic crunch) while others are more innovative (i.e. the "robot" move for the abs). Even though I was physcially in excellent shape before starting Tamilee's workouts, the results I am achieving have improved my body's appearance. Through my cardio training and Tamilee, I now have a sculpted midsection and definition in my arms. If you are a beginner, this DVD will be an invaluable tool delivering motivation, information, and transformation! Just remember that these toning sessions need to be complimented with aerobic activity (biking, walking, etc) and a sensible diet in order to get optimal results. While there is no easy way to get the body you want, Tamilee gives you the tools if you are willing to make the effort.
Rating: Summary: Just what I needed! Review: This DVD is the perfect workout. I stopped working out for two years and recently started back after I turned 40. I've only gone through 3 of the 15 minute workouts (more than once each) and I am still challenged. Tamilee is the best...she moves at a pace which allows you to stop and think about how you are moving with each exercise. This tape is just what I need to stay motivated! I am still using one lb. weights and am planning on working myself up to 10 lbs. I feel so much better after doing this workout that it made turing 40 a piece of (non-fat) cake! :-)
