Rating: Summary: It doesn't feel like a workout because it's so much fun!!! Review: I'm a dancer and like every first timer, I was groping with the steps. I became better the second time around and I was enjoying it immensely while sweating profusely! Dancing is really not a workout, it's more like recreation, and sweating is incidental. The toning section gives it the challenge that fitness buffs are looking for. If you love to have a good time, and you can't motivate yourself enough to do something as mundane as going to the gym or going jogging, this is the workout for you! You also can't ignore how much weight Paula lost and how great she looks! EA
Rating: Summary: challenging Review: This has some great steps or dances IF you are a dance major or something. I have been dancing for many years and still find this quite challenging to learn the steps. The intention of the video was to be applauded but it is still very complicated to learn as a person just trying to workout.
Rating: Summary: Good dancing - if you can keep up! Review: The dance moves on this video are fun, but were a little difficult to follow the first time. I had to rewind a number of times to catch on, and I'm not a TERRIBLE dancer, I don't think. She doesn't really build one move onto the next, as with the classes and other videos I've seen, which makes piecing it all together at the end a little more challenging. I did get my heartrate up though, and that's what counts. I also had fun doing it! She does provide an excellent, if short, lower body workout at the end of the tape. You definitely need some room to do this video. I had a 12' x 12' cleared space and that was a little too small to freely do all the moves.
Rating: Summary: Not for novices! Review: I bought this video knowing that I don't have natural dance talent but thinking I could just follow along and enjoy the exercise. But, I couldn't follow her first step and even where she does have instructions, they aren't very helpful if you don't already know dance steps.For the experienced dancer, or someone with natural talent, this is probably a fun video.
Rating: Summary: it is very fun! Review: I really enjoy this tape, it is lots of fun and works all your muscles groups as well. I think I enjoy it and keep coming back to it because this is one of the very few tapes out there that you can actually see that the instructor(Paula) is really having a blast at doing it and that, in a sense, motivates me to relax and have fun--but keep everything tight at the same time!
Rating: Summary: Easy as 1, 2, 3! Review: This is an excellent exercise tape...it takes you step by step and gives you different views to make picking the steps up pretty easy. Once you get the feel for it, you won't want to stop!
Rating: Summary: It is great and Paula is very entertaining Review: This tape is excellent. I own her last video "Get Up and Dance" and that was great as well. It is very easy to follow, especially because of the PIP that offers a rear view of Paula's moves. That way you get a handle on these very modern dance steps. paula is energenic and charismatic, you will enjoy firming your body with this one!!
Rating: Summary: This is a fun and funky dance workout. Review: Paula Abdul is fun and non-intimidating. This tape may take a few times to view before catching on to the moves. Don't get discouraged after one time. Once you get the hang of it it's fun and a great workout!
Rating: Summary: Lots of complicated dance moves. Review: I bought this video for both the cardio workout and the dance. The cover said that she slowly teaches the dance steps. This is an exageration. She flies through the moves, and expects you to catch on or rewind. It will take a lot of patience to rewind that many times and still get any workout. It says Intermediate Level which I wanted in the intensity of the workout, but the moves are advanced. I would recommend looking for something else unless you are really an experiences dancer or have done lots of dance videos.
Rating: Summary: Loved this energetic dance video Review: I loved the high energy dance combinations. Some of them were a little tricky, but they were broken down simply. I felt I really accomplished something when I mastered the foot work! No matter how many times I do this tape, I still get a fantastic workout!
