Rating: Summary: Great for Beginners Review: This is the second Pilates workout I've purchased and I really enjoyed it. I liked the idea of four 10-minute segments I could mix and match to create my own workout. I am still a Pilates beginner, so this workout challenged me. The abs, thighs, and buns section have left me sore in all the right places. The total body challenge is a bit more difficult than the individual segments. If you are a true beginner at Pilates, I would highly recommend this to you. As you progess, you can repeat the segments or add repititions. However, if you are already at an intermediate Pilates level or are in-shape to begin with, I would look for something else. I had my roommate try this DVD (who is a moderate exerciser.) He said the only challenging part of the DVD was the total body segment, and he had never done Pilates before, so I believe this is truly a beginner's workout.
Rating: Summary: I'm Now Hooked On Pilates Review: The only disappointment you'll read in this review is that I couldn't give it more than 5 stars. I'm a Pilates beginner and this was my first Pilates DVD. I feel like I've hit the Pilates lottery. I LOVE IT!! Its very upbeat and keeps you interested. It even had my husband on the floor working his "powerhouse". Pick your spot covers three areas....abs, butt, and thighs lasting 10 minutes each. All offer a great work out in this short time too. That's what I like the best. Not only can I pick the area I want to work on (all which I need by the way), but I can work out as long as I have time to spend. I come out of it feeling like I actually did something. I'm seeing results too..YEAH. The instructor..Ellen is very encouraging and motivating. If you feel challenged following her lead there's another person, Betsy that offers a slight variation to the same move. The DVD version also offers an additional 10 minutes of Total Body Pilates. The name says it all...total body....you work everything. If you're interested in starting Pilates or want to add to your collection this one is a must have.
Rating: Summary: love this dvd Review: I have had this for 2 weeks and I love it. It's easy and hard at the same time. I am so sore the next day and I can tell it's working. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for quick workout that gives results!
Rating: Summary: Quick Workout.. with results Review: I picked up this video up by accident one day while looking for yoga videos. I was disappointed because I've tried different Pilates videos and never really liked them. Now, I swear by this video! How can you not like this concept? Choose to do the entire workout, which is 30 minutes or work on a specific spot on your body for only 10 mintes. I'm fairly advanced in yoga and I found this workout to be really invigorating. The time just flew by. This is one Pilates video I'm adding to my collection.
Rating: Summary: Love the time-saving aspect Review: I love this tape...special bonus is that there are three sections, each only 10 minutes long, something that I find a real plus. If I want to do all 3 10 minute sections, I get a good (but not too difficult) Pilates workout for my belly, buns and thighs. That's how the sections are divided. If you only have time for one 10 minute section, you can choose which body part you want to concentrate on. Naturally, as in all Pilates the core (the belly and back strengthening core) is worked out all the time so even when you do Buns or Thighs the stomach is always getting strengthened. There is also a COMPLETE 10 minute workout, focusing on all Pilates moves for the entire body, for those who want a super-quick all-around Pilates workout. REALLY GREAT for time-crunched Moms or working Mom's, whomever doesn't want to spend an entire hour of their day parked in front of a video that never seems to be over. One down side is that there is no upper body work, so if you're looking to sculpt or strengthen the upper body this is not for you. Being a woman, I'm most interested in my lower body, but for upper body I need to use other tapes.
Rating: Summary: it seemed fairly easy, definitely feel it today! Review: i am a complete beginner, need to lose 25-30 pounds and decided to try pilates/resistance training. i did my first workout yesterday and was easily able to complete all 3 10 minute segments. then i tried to start the total body one, but that flip over thing about killed me (you are on your back and then you lift your legs together up over your head (tummy to face) and i couldn't quite manage that so i bagged that part of the workout. today, i definitely do feel soreness in my shoulders, my whole stomach, my thighs and just a tad in my rear. i am going to stick with this for sure, alternating with a resistance band workout (i haven't tried that one yet, i think i'm too sore ;) )
Rating: Summary: just started Review: ive been working out w/this dvd 4/2weeks now and i feel great...havent seen results yet but im feeling em lol
Rating: Summary: great for beginners Review: great video for beginners; after using it for a couple of months, I'm ready to move on to a more challenging workout.
Rating: Summary: 30 mintes that fly Review: this is my first workout dvd and i love it. I am a busy mom and I wanted to get in shape. I do not have the time and the will (i am sometime lazy)to spend hours working out. With this video you only need 30 minutes and they will fly. I enjoy doing it and during the day I find myself wishing I could do it twice. I have been doing it for 3 weeks (about 5x) and I start seeing the results. I would reccomend it if you are looking for something you want to enjoy without having to committ your "all spare time" to it.
Rating: Summary: I am hooked!!!! Review: This is a realistic workout that even the workout a phobic can do and love. IT is short enough that anyhone with a busy schedule can squeeze it in. I especially love it because it fits into to my suticase and I can do it while I am travelling.
