Rating: Summary: Good DVD for all levels Review: This is my first Yoga DVD and also my first time doing Yoga. I found this DVD a good one for all levels. For beginners like me, I can follow one of the instructor, if I improve a bit, I can then follow another. There are a total of 4 levels and it takes me abt 45 mins. to finish a workout. Easy to follow, great sweat and refreshing.Only thing is that I do not have those pops, like bricks and strips.
Rating: Summary: sherylval@aol.com Review: I love this video! And cannot believe how fabulous I feel when I finish it! I too, figured that the 'weight loss' part was a marketing gimic, however I have to say that I have been an avid exerciser most of my life and have never enjoyed slower forms of exercise such as yoga. After doing this tape every day for a week I have noticed that I feel all my muscles even more than after a weight lifting workout and I'm actually eating better! There definitly is something to the mind/body/spirit connection in regard to weight loss. Another yoga tape that I think is fantastic is Yoga Inside&Out with Batshiva. Hers is a series of 7 30 minute yoga sessions designed to align each of the 7 chakras. I'm glad I had worked with her tapes for a few months before this tape - but together they have confirmed to me that yoga really is an incredible form of mind/body exercise. I simply cannot believe how wonderful it makes you feel - like you can conquer all!
Rating: Summary: It should be possible to give this tape 6 stars! Review: This tape works. It really does deliver. I had never tried yoga in my life, and was never an athletic person. It has helped me lose well over 20 lbs! And I now love it so much that I do yoga every day.The use of four different instructors at different levels of difficulty mean that the most stiff or out of shape can participate (that was me). Then you follow the next of the four instructors when you're ready to advance. I have been using this tape for 6 months, and haven't gotten tired of it yet. I wish I'd bought it on DVD, as I'll probably have to buy a replacement copy before I come close to growing tired of it.
Rating: Summary: 4 levels of workout Review: This is the first yoga DVD I've bought. The DVD menu allows you to choose from 4 different levels of workout from beginner to advanced. This was really great for me because I'm very inflexible and need to use props. You can also choose just to focus on the person doing your level or see all four people at the same time. There were also spots in the practice where you could switch to an in-studio comment about how to do the pose properly. The workout is divided into 3 sections and is about 40 mins long, I think. Afterwards, I felt good, warm and stretched out. I'll be using this one regularly.
Rating: Summary: Perfect for ABCs Review: It's easy to follow. But it's way too easy for some people. So, if you've taken yoga class more than one month you'd better buy any yoga DVD other than this. BTW the reason I'm writing here is that a proper diet should be accompanied with practicing yoga in the first place. You should be much more careful if you do yoga to lose some weights. Even I found that it's hard to concentrate on yoga whenever I overate or ate improper foods like highly processed stuffs.
Rating: Summary: Yoga Conditioning for Weight Loss Review: I love this DVD, it is a great yoga workout. There are 4 women performing the moves at different levels of resistance depending on how flexible you are. It has a very relaxing outdoor atmosphere and music, unlike some that are filmed in a studio.
Rating: Summary: Stretch out and Relax Review: At first, I thought it seemed a little hoky with the desert and music, but after using the DVD a few times, I found I enjoyed it quite a bit. The four different diffculty levels is one of the great things about the DVD. I can work my way up to the more difficult levels and get a lot more usage out if it than I would out of a workout meant strictly for beginners or strictly for advanced students. I use it at one level and my boyfriend uses it at another level. If you make use of the "personal trainer" feature of this DVD, you'll be a lot less likely to make mistakes in form or hurt yourself. And it's a great relaxer.
Rating: Summary: Relaxing and gentle work out. Review: This is a beautifully instructed tape. The movements and music go hand and hand for a relaxing, refreshing work out.
Rating: Summary: Too slow Review: I think this tape is too slow to get a good workout. It is good for strengthening and relaxation, but they stay in the positions too long to really get my heart rate going. My personal favorite is still the Crunch Fat Burning yoga tape, it moves quickly enough that I feel like I'm doing some exercise...
Rating: Summary: The best yoga video/dvd out there Review: I have a combination of 10 yoga videos and dvds and this is the only one I use regularly - it is the only one that does not get irritating or boring after the second time and the interactive features are excellent. It is longer than most of my videos and gives a very complete workout with plenty of scope for future improvement. It is also beautifully filmed and relaxing just to look at! The only other one I still ocasionally pick up is Karen Voight's YogaSculpt (for days that I just want a 20 minute intense yoga session) and I honeslty don't see myself getting bored of either of them for a very long time. Very, very highly recommended!
