Summary: Frustrating...
Review: This video was incredibly frustrating. The woman on Kathy's right contradicted everything Kathy said. She would shoot out punches quickly and snappily, which Kathy said not to do to start out with. Her pants were shint and distracting, too. Also, the woman behind Kathy punched incorrectly, according to Keith and Kathy: her elbows came out to the side. They went a little too fast: I had to rewind certain parts four or five times till I as able to understand. A beginner tape needs to be simpler, and the other people working out need to not contradict what Kathy says.

Summary: One of the best fitness tapes I own!
Review: I bought this video about 4 years ago and I'm still using it today! It has stood the test of time in my library and I still find it fun and challenging. I use it when I want to have a little variation in my routine and it does the trick. Kathy's directions are very understandable, and she uses a split screen at times to focus on correct form for each kick and punch. There are several routines to do as well, and you can vary kicks and some of the routines to suit your ability. This is a great tape for folks of all levels!

Summary: A fit-in-your-busy-day workout!
Review: Time is precious for all of us, some more than others. Well, I make up the latter. I have a busy work schedule and have to fit working out somewhere into my day.

This workout is great as I get several benefits at the same time: 1) Save time, 2) Learn a new sport, 3) Learn how to defend myself (however pathetically, as a woman), 4) Pain-free for my knees and lower back and, 5) Great aerobic workout where I'm left sweating but energized!

I also wanted to point out that from what I've read about some of Kathy's other workout videos, I believe that this workout could also be considered an interval training workout, as Kathy mixes periods of active exercise and active rest.

Either way, this was an enjoyable video to workout to, Kathy herself was not loud and annoying, and though some of the kicks and steps might require a bit more living room space, the video was overall a good investment, esp for the level of intensity it gives in the short period of time.

Summary: Motivational Knockout!!
Review: This DVD combines all the moves you learn at your gym class with the convienience of trying it in your own home. Taking you slowly through the individual techniques of kicks and boxing you soon feel you understand the moves.

By the time you finish your first workout, you will feel very satisfied and should be very proud, it is hard but very challanging. Well done, I cant wait to use it again

Summary: Great Workout
Review: This is the first tape I purchased for Kathy Smith, I tried few others before but this one is the best. I got another one for Denise Austin that I wanted to use as an alternative but I had the stop it after the first 20 mn to put on kathy Smith's tape. Kathy teach you every single move before you go up to tempo, Keith Cooke was great asset to this great workout.
It's not waist of money, trust me, try it and you will love it!!

Summary: This one will kick your butt!
Review: Kickboxing workouts are a great way to work up a sweat and burn calories. This is a pretty good workout. Keith Cooke, the kickboxing expert that Kathy has on set is fun to watch because he has such good form and energy. Some of the moves and combinations go very fast and it takes a bit of practice to be able to do them. I tried the combos slowly at first and only went "up to tempo" when I had the form down right.

There is a slow kicking section for toning legs and balancing that I really liked.

You get two workouts on this DVD--basic and challenge. Get a towel and some water 'cause you're gonna sweat!

Summary: It's a great routine
Review: It starts slwly so you could warm up well. Kathy gives you a clear instructions of what's coming next. She does each new excercise few times slowly so yo know what you should do. You will end up sweating a lot and you'll get your heart beating hard. The kicks and the butt sections are just great. It makes you feel stronger!

Summary: Better than Tae Bo
Review: This video is very good for those who wish to lose weight and feel better about themselves. It's fun and quick and effective. It's high intensity though, so this workout should really only be done 2-3 times a week.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Good video
Review: Another good video to include in your fitness library especially if you are an immediate exerciser. I personally found TaeBo and the CIA videos to be far more challenging and effective for my fitness level. Kathy Smith is a great instructor and she effectively trains the exerciser to learn the moves. The moves are safe and easy to perform. If you are an advanced exerciser this video will not challenge you but it can be used on those "tired" days or on your light days.

Summary: Just a So-So Kickboxing video
Review: I typically like Kathy Smith and her videos. I've been kickboxing for a while and feel this isn't close to the slowest kickboxing class I get at my gym. However, I felt I had to comment on others in the video. There's a male martial arts guy named Keith Cooke. There is also another female (?) in the video and she scares me to death! I'm so frightened of her that I won't do this video anymore. I wouldn't want to meet her in a lighted alley!
