Rating: Summary: Great video! I've used it tons Review: I am now 9 months pregnant and have been using this video since I was about 3 months. I have been using it more and more and find that the workout is gentle yet effective. It helps me sleep and I feel that it has helped with my flexibility and relaxation. Some days I do only 15 minutes. Other days I will do 30 minutes. Each of the 3 sections has poses that I really enjoy. The modifications are useful and make poses that would otherwise be impossible this late in pregnancy quite doable. I'm very happy with this video and would recommend it to anyone (unless perhaps you're already very experienced in yoga in which case it would probably be too easy).
Rating: Summary: Wasnt Happy with this Prenatal workout Review: This video seemed like a great idea. Ive done yoga for years and looked foward to continuing in my pregnancy. I was very disappointed. The women on the cover is not actually pregnant in the video. It was very hard with little moderations made for pregnant women. There was alot of activities you are not supposed to do in pregnancy, like abdominal streches and downward dog. This video was very difficult to do and is strenuous on both mom and baby. I was not happy with this one at all.
Rating: Summary: Love this video Review: I did some yoga before I became pregnant but wasn't really an expert. This tape is challenging- I can do it but have room to grow in terms of deepening the poses. The music and set are great and the end of the tape is very relaxing. Best of all I really feel like I've worked out afterward- the next day my arms are a bit sore, but in a good way. I recommend this tape to anyone wanting to stay toned and gain some flexibility.
Rating: Summary: Yoga For All! Review: Why take a chance doing Yoga the wrong way? This video really does a great job and I feel great! If you purchase any videos this summer, buy this one along with "Baby Mozart" and "48 Championship Basketball Drills" (my husband watches it over & over). Any aches and pains that I had seem to have gone away. Start easy and follow the video to a "T".
Rating: Summary: Wonderful video Review: I was a yoga novice when I ordered this video and was a bit apprehensive about whether or not I could keep up. I had nothing to worry about. All the poses are clearly explained and demonstrated. One very nice feature is the organization of the video- 3 sections of 15 minutes each plus the relaxtion/meditation at the end. This makes is very easy to do 15 minutes in the morning and the rest of the video at night. It also enables you to vary the routine which staves off boredom. The trimester modifications are very helpful as well. The instructor is wonderful. Best of all, this routine has virtually eliminated my all-day morning sickness. I feel energized all day and already my flexibility has increased.
Rating: Summary: very relaxing and great for beginers Review: I barely started doing yoga for the first time. I am six months along. Before this time, I had to have my boyfreind rub and message my aching back. But once I started with this video, it helped relieve the aches and helped me to lie down without dealing with muscle spasms. I also liked the choice of music. It helped realx the body, along with doing the stretches. I recommend this video for beginers and for the those who may not necessarily be fit (and I am sure for those who are fit, and just want something that is helpful for relieving aches.)
Rating: Summary: the very best!!! Review: This is the best prenatal tape I've ever done, I did this tape almost every day and had a pain and stress free pregnancy. I've done yoga religiously for years, and stopped taking regular classes at 4 months. This tape continued to be challenging throughout the rest of the pregnancy.Looking forward to the yoga journal's postnatal workout tape.
Rating: Summary: Prenatal yoga Review: I borrowed "Yoga Zone" from a friend before buying this video. I like this video better because it shows all the poses in three stages of pregnancy, and how they can be adapted. However, I thought they moved through the moves very quickly, you really have to be ready with all of your props (chair, pillows, etc) to keep up. They spend a lot of time on Kegels, which is good for pregnancy, but I don't need a video for that (there's nothing to show in a demonstration!). Although the people in Yoga Zone are a little goofy, I think "Yoga Zone" does a better job of explaining the proper way the body should be aligned in the poses. So I do both tapes for variety.
Rating: Summary: I love this tape! Review: After reading some of the reviews of this tape, I purchased it and have been extremely pleased with it. I have been experiencing a great deal of back and neck pain with this pregnancy, and after I do this workout, I feel terrific! I feel it's a great asset in my preparation of my body for a natural birth. Also, it provides the physical benefits of yoga without any of the chanting or meditation.
Rating: Summary: buy this video! Review: If you are looking for yoga to help prepare you physically and emotionally for childbirth, this is the video. It is not rushed, so it is not for someone looking for a quick workout. It incorporates many basic yoga movements, with modifications for each trimester.
