Rating: Summary: Fun and productive workout! Review: I recently gave birth to my second child and want to get back into my original size before summer hits! This is a GREAT workout set! The one mile is a wonderful low-impact start that will get you sweating and prepare you for the more challanging 2 mile. I haven't gotten to the 3 mile yet but I'm sure it will be a great workout! This is a fun way to exercise inside and you don't need much space at all!! Adding hand weights to any of the 3 is a great way to add more of a challange. I highly recommend these!

Review: I may be a "newbie" to Leslie Sansone's Walk Away The Pounds workouts, but I am already one of her biggest fans and a true advocate of her low-impact walk aerobic system.You will read lots of opinions in the following reviews, but here are the facts: * WATP is a balanced exercise program promoting fitness for individuals of all ages and physical descriptions. Regardless of whether you are young, old, overweight, out of shape, have physical limitations or are in prime condition - these workouts have something to offer! Expect a few minutes of warm-up time followed by exercises of graduating speed and intensity, a cool-down period and a few quick stretches to wrap it all up. * These WATP workouts are equivalent to walking 1, 2 or 3 miles at a brisk pace. Each includes simple steps (marching in place, side-steps, knee-lifts and kick-backs), upper body work (reaching, stretching, pull-downs and clapping) and an opportunity to incorporate light weight training along with the cardio. (Personal note: I prefer using dumbells rather than the Walk Away Weighted Balls simply because you can buy them anywhere, they are easier to hold and don't get slippery in my hands when I sweat - plus, I can vary the amount of weight I want to use on a daily basis.) * These workouts can be easily personalized and modified to suit your own fitness level while giving you the motivation to increase your strength, endurance and stamina. Rating: Summary: Great Value - Great Results Review: My fellow Amazon shoppers did not steer me wrong. I purchased this product based on the strength of their reviews. I love this product for two simple reasons: it is very easy to use, and it is very effective. I love the flexibility of being able to customize my workout given my schedule (You can do one, two, or three mile workouts). Anyone at any fitness level can find this to be an effective cardio and sculpting tool. This is a perfect DVD to pack along on business trips, as you do not need much space to do this workout. Leslie is fun and engaging, and her "walkers" are real people and not fitness models. This is a great workout!
Rating: Summary: So easy and it works!! Review: I have 2 children ages 1 and 3. So I don't have a whole lot of time to fit in much of a workout. Until I found this DVD. it only takes 30 minutes, and it works! I started out with the 2 mile walk a couple weeks ago and I have already lost weight. It is so easy to do, and I even think it's fun. My 3 year old does the workout along with me (it's so cute!) You don't need any special equipment or a lot of time or room to do this walk. I would definetly recommend this. I love it!
Rating: Summary: Good Simple Aerobics Review: I have been looking for a good simple aerobic workout that I can do at home for a long time. I prefer jogging to anything, but have trouble getting out of the house (I have 2 toddlers). This one is very good. I dislike dancing and complicated sequences, and this workout has clear, simple, easy to follow steps. It is also as intense as you make it. If you are just getting started in an exercise program you'll be able to find success in this program, if you feel you are in shape you can also get a good workout by some simple alterations she shows you. The first routine is a 20 minute 1 mile walk. The second is a 30 minute 2 mile walk. She shows you how to adjust to meet your own physical capabilities.
Rating: Summary: Excellent, non-intimidating exercise video Review: I'm a 49 year old couch potato with asthma, high cholesterol, and a bad attitude about fitness. I've abandoned many a fitness program over the years: gym memberships, exercise machines, morning walks, even the RCAF 5BX program. Every one I tried left me disappointed -- injuries, expense, inconvenience, or an overly ambitious regimen. I'm uncoordinated, unathletic, unmotivated and find nothing in common with people who love exercising and working out. But ... with high cholesterol and back pain and encroaching middle age, I decided, after years of nagging by my doctor, to give it one last try. She suggested yoga, I bought a couple of yoga videos, then while searching through the selection here at B&N, found Leslie Sansones' Walk Away the Pounds program. The reviews intrigued me -- was this in fact an exercise program that a slob with two left feet could actually do without hurting myself or feeling like an idiot? By golly, the reviewers were right. I've been doing this 3 to 4 times a week since February (it's now the end of April), and I actually FEEL BETTER as a result. Spouse likes to drag me around botanical gardens on the weekends, and these are fun but sometimes a chore when there are steep hills and stairs to climb... last time out, I viewed the uphill climb back to the parking lot with trepidation, but to my amazement I was able to keep up, and didn't feel lousy at the end of the climb. Wow! My chest doesn't hurt now when I exercise (I didn't realize it did before, I was so used to it). I can breathe efficiently again, kinda like a car with a clean air filter. I actually look forward to my one mile or two mile walks in the morning after spouse leaves for work (I still feel silly if I'm spotted doing them though). I don't have to go outside in the rain and cold of winter, or the blazing heat and smog of summer. The cat watches with amusement from my favorite chair, and the parrot yodels along with Leslie's chitchat. It would be premature to say Walk Away The Pounds has made me look thinner -- the pounds so far are doing a pretty good job of keeping up -- but the improvement in my health and fitness level is worth it, even if I never shed an ounce. No fancy dance moves here -- if you can remember to lift alternate feet more or less in time with the music, you can do this program without feeling like a dork. And you can enjoy watching the other exercise ladies (and man) working out with Leslie. There's fat ones, skinny ones, tall ones, short ones, young ones, old ones, well you get the picture. A role model for everyone, whether you're a cut and buffed bodybuilder or a built-for-comfort cuddle bunny. I give this my highest recommendation, because after two months I'm still doing it -- a personal record.
Rating: Summary: This workout really gets you going Review: I absolutely love these workouts. All three of them are wonderful, but I especially love the three mile walk. It gets me sweating and I can feel the burn in so many different muscles. I have been doing the 3 mile walk for a week and a half now and have already lost almost 10 pounds. I am amazed at the results. This is fun and enjoyable, and I find Leslie's constant chatter to be motivating and passes the time. I would highly recommend this video.

Rating: Summary: Excellent for beginners!! Review: I love this 2 DVD set! I'm a college student and have an odd schedule and little space in my dorm. These videos have really helped me to get off my butt and exercise. The first dvd is so wonderful and gets you started without strain. They are both very low impact and refreshing! I'd recommend this to anyone who wants to get fit, and especially people like me who has two left feet. :)
