Rating: Summary: The best! Review: I got these for Christmas last year and they're so great. I never thought I would be able to get into yoga, but now I'm hooked. The movements are so gentle and help relieve so much stress, I really can't believe yoga is considered a form of exercise! I have tried other yoga tapes in the past - Kathy Smith, I'm looking in your direction - that were too focussed on things like keeping a faster heart rate, but yoga shouldn't be like that. If you can't breathe comfortably, you're not doing yoga right. It's great for beginners and for those of us with a few extra pounds.
Rating: Summary: The best prescription for fibromyalgia sufferers! Review: I got this set recently after concluding physical therapy for fibromyalgia. Much of what I did in PT involved stretching, so I thought, "Why not?" This is a great program...did the Stress Relief and Conditioning one last night--my back hasn't felt that good in over two years! Also, you can do this any time that is good for you. As a mom who works outside the home, this is the greatest asset because you are able to fit it into your life so well. It doesn't feel like exercise (though it certainly conditions you very well!)...you look forward to doing the program at the end of the day. Even my husband, who is a distance runner, does this program, as it benefits his running. I find Alan Finger's instruction very thorough, easy-to-follow, and soothing. His voice is great! Not sappy or annoying in any way...really pleasant, as a matter of fact. I am feeling so much better after doing this program regularly that I am going to ask my rheumatologist if I can try to discontinue my medication (Celebrex and others) and see if the yoga is all I need to feel good. I'd rather cope with my condition in a natural way, if possible! I highly, highly recommend this program! Get it, do it regularly and feel good!

Rating: Summary: Easy for EVERYONE Review: I had never attempted yoga because the poses looked so intimidating. How could I ever get myself into those positions? But, I tried this series of tapes and found that "perfection" was not the key - only stretching as far as YOU can go. The instructor is wonderful with explanation and encouragement. I love doing these tapes and love how I feel afterwards. It has also helped my chiropractic treatments by strengthening the muscles surrounding the spine....helping the adjustments last longer. My husband and I do these tapes together frequently...often before going to bed. They are relaxing and give us both a better nights sleep. We are both in our 40's and do not do any other form of regular exercise. If you are interested in yoga, this set is wonderful. I just sent a set to my best friend and her husband for them to try!

Rating: Summary: You'll be glad you bought it! Review: I had never done yoga before and wanted to get started by purchasing a video. I read the reviews for this set and I echo all the positive feedback. I am a busy Mom of two toddlers and run my own home based business, hence "my" time doesn't begin until after 9pm every night. At that hour of the night an aerobic workout was not happening, but now I look forward to the nights I can do Yoga Zone. With the box set I have options each night and surprisingly I really enjoy the meditation video (I was a skeptic!). Alan Finger's voice is incredibly soothing and his explanations for each pose are very descriptive. I am confident that I am doing the poses correctly. I am reaping the benefits of better sleep, the perfect end to each day and total relaxation!
Rating: Summary: Yoga Review: I had never done yoga before. I find the tapes easy to follow. He walks through the tapes so well that I find that I don't need to be looking at the TV to see what I need to do. The exercises are challenging, even though they are simple. I have felt a difference after doing the tapes. I do them on the days that I don't jog. A great set of tapes.
Rating: Summary: Great way to begin Review: I have the VHS and have tried other Yoga tapes that just frustated me. This is slow paced and very relaxing.
Rating: Summary: Positively wonderful!! Review: I never thought I could bring myself to try yoga, let alone enjoy it. But this set of DVD's presents the exercises in an unpretentious and encouraging manner. I am approaching my 58th birthday, and am more than a little overweight, and also pretty unflexible. Yet after about three weeks of using the introduction, the stress relieving-conditioning and meditation programs, I find myself looking forward to my exercise time. I feel much more limber, my energy level is higher, and the sense of wellbeing that comes at the end of each workout is unbeatable. The connection between the physical and spiritual benefits of the exercises becomes immediately apparent, and Alan Finger's soft-spoken and often gently humorous instruction is challenging and comforting in the most positive manner. I would urge anyone who wants to feel better on many levels to try this. Although some of the stretches were difficult for me at first, as I continue to use the program, I find that my level of performance is improving, and the workout becomes that much more rewarding and satisfying as I am able to do a bit more each time. So don't be put off if, at first, some moves are too difficult. Keep with it and it will be worth the effort. A definite 5 star item.
Rating: Summary: Love This Set! Review: I own MANY yoga videos, and I have to say that this boxed set is one of my favorites. Alan Finger is a great instructor. His voice is calming and he gives lots of instructions. You will find that the first 2 or 3 minutes (explaination and prep) is the same for all the tapes, but that's not really an issue. The poses are simple enough for a beginner, but I have found that with time and as my comfort level increased, I'm able to "advance" the poses myself. I would truely recommend this set to anyone. I also enjoy Candlelight Yoga with Sara Ivanhoe. Another wonderful instructor. Even though my yoga tape collection is probably about 50, I always return to these tapes, because I find them so relaxing and enjoyable to do. I actually look forward to doing them every evening Enjoy!
