Rating: Summary: Great Workout! Review: I found the forst video useless. There was really nothing in it that you wouldnt pick up from the basic video. The basic video was really easy and but would be nice to somebody that was really out of shape. I went straght to the advanced video that was really long [an hour] and hard. The eight minete video was nothing compared to the othere videos but would be nice for somebody that didnt have time to do an hour. All in all the first to videos were useless and there is no point in buying them.I think that if your in shape at all to just buy the advanced video set.
Rating: Summary: Tae-bo Review Review: I started Tae-bo last year with the basic tapes for about 2 months, then I went on to advanced...which, let me tell you, is quite difficult. I have friends who are fitness freaks and couldnt finish the whole 57 minutes of it. However, after continuing with the basic for another 5 months (and alternating with the advanced once a week) I got SO bored from the SAME 10 moves or so that I had to resort to a stationary bike to keep in shape (NOT fun). Overall, Tae-bo is a great workout, but Mr. Blanks needs more tapes.
Rating: Summary: Good stuff Review: Billy is one hell of a motivator. Out of the four tapes, the advanced work makes you sweat the most . before you do the fourth tape, the instructional tape helps perfect your form, helping you lengthen and stretch your muscles. Great for a rainy day, when you can't go for a run. I recommend this to all who think aerobics can't help. Dear ol Billy is a great guy and keeps you going when you're hurting.
Rating: Summary: The Firm is better ... Review: I feel that the Firm has a better program ... for women anyway. I keep my TaeBo tapes around because they are a good/hard aerobic workout but I've gotten WAY better body shaping results from the Firm. I also think that the Firm is a safer workout series. If it's TaeBo or nothing .. choose taebo, but if you want more than just a fad workout ... choose The Firm.
Rating: Summary: One of the best workout DVDs! Review: I've been doing the advanced workout for 3 months now and the results are definitely clear. My stamina has improved and I feel stronger. After doing Billy Blank's advanced Tae-bo workouts, it makes the other aerobic and kick-boxing classes which I used to take at the gym seem a little effortless. Also, I've come down a size, since doing Taebo on a regular basis, even though I was already a size 4 before doing the Taebo workouts. (Yep, that is how effective it is! ) What I like best about Billy Blank's Taebo workout is the wonderful feeling of self-confidence that it instills in you each time you finish it. Billy Blank is a very motivating instructor. The only not-too-good thing about the DVD is the music. The music could have been better. Despite that, the DVD is great value for money as it better than most workouts I've tried. It is advisable that you start out with the instructional portion first, and then Basic before going to the Advanced. It is important that you get the fundamental strokes/stances correct (which Billy explains quite clearly in the Instructional/Basic portion) in order to make the workouts more effective.
Rating: Summary: An inspiring workout! Nothing better Review: The Tae-bo workouts are something that I actually look forword to doing. There fun and relitlvly easy. Banks sure does energize you. I always look forword to my next workout. I've been doing it for a month now, about once a day for at least 10 minuets. It not only makes me feel refreshed and pleased with myself, but I can feel the pounds slipping off. I've lost about 10 lb so far. I reccomend this workout out to anyone no matter how old or busy they are.
Rating: Summary: Great workout! Review: I began this tape set with the Instructional video for about a week before moving on to the Basic video, which I did for about 2 months. I am now doing the Advanced video four times a week, and have lost 20 lbs in five months. The weight loss, however, takes second place to how I feel. Stronger, leaner and more flexible are words I never used to describe my post-pregnancy body - until now. I now wear a size 8 comfortably and my goal is to reach size 6 by the end of summer. The only complaint I would have about the Tae-Bo tape set (other than the lack of production quality) is that the video editing is shoddy in some parts. On the Advanced tape, there are several portions where you hear Mr. Blanks talking and, unless you're watching the screen (difficult at best while doing the foot-circles), it's very easy to lose count. Also, some of the moves are rather fast - moving more slowly through a repetition (particularly one that imitates strength training) makes the muscle work harder.
Rating: Summary: Whoa ! - A great workout Review: Well, I've had the DVD sitting on the shelf for awhile, and thought I should finally have a go, now I'm wondering why it took me so long. It's great ! You'll feel amazing even after the first time !
Rating: Summary: Tae-Bo is a good workout. Review: As with any good workout - you get what you put into it. If you faithfully follow Billy Blank's program - you will get into shape and be fit. Billy has the natural charisma and energy to keep the viewer entertained and "pumped" up throughout the work out. By following the program and keeping a healthy diet - you will benefit for following this program. I've practiced martial arts for many years and have enjoyed the health aspect of my practices. Billy Blanks has taken this spirit of the martial arts and incorporated it into a fully body workout. A word of caution! - Don't be fooled into thinking that these tapes will make you a martial artist. For classes on self-defense - please attend martial art classes in your community.
Rating: Summary: Great Workout--have fun and get in shape! Review: This one will get you moving and have fun doing it! If you have tried Tae-Bo TV then you will be dissappointed as Billy has come a long way since making this. I still recommend it to all!
