Summary: JACK MOSS IS GREAT!
Review: My son is 16 months old and out of all of the Einstein videos we have (5 total) this is the only one he will watch. If we attempt to put in a different one he just goes to play with his toys or look at a book. His favorite part of this video are the birds and the Jack Moss song part of the DVD. I like that part too. He claps his hands and really enjoys the beat. I really like Jack Moss's music for kids and don't understand why other people would be so critical of it. It's for children - not for adults having cocktails in a piano lounge.

Review: My triplet 2 year olds love watching the animals-- and this video does keep them entertained while seeing and learning about animals. The quality of the video, however, is not as good as some of the others of Baby Einstein. The sound quality seems to be especially poor (at least on my tape).

Review: normally i love the baby einstein videos--we have all of them. this one is particularly bad. it is not as good as any of the other ones and it is a real step backwards from the baby dolittle neghborhood animals. it is too slick for one (meaning it doesn't have some of the cuteness of the previous videos), the monkey isn't particularly enticing or interesting enough to hold my son's attention, the dolphin song is really bad and annoying, the computer animated drawings introducing the animals are pointless, and it has clearly lost some of the magic that made the other videos so popular.

Summary: My two year old loves this DVD.
Review: She loved the Baby Mozart and Baby Einstein videos when she was a baby. I had not played her a Baby Einstein video for a long time before I picked up the "World Animals" DVD.She absolutely loves animals, so this DVD really catches her attention. The music is great, the visuals are very attractive, and my daughter really enjoys watching it. I highly recommend this DVD for any child who loves animals.

Summary: we loved the rest of the series but...
Review: Siince my grandson adores all his other Baby Einstein videos, I couldnt wait to get this one for him. When we put the video on, he watched it for some time and then suddenly began crying and shaking. Our first thought was that he was ill. A few days later we tried it again and he had the same response...it seemed to occur when one of the birds came on. While not understanding his reaction, we decided to give it to a friend with a baby, explaing to her that for some reason he didnt like this one. Her baby reacted in the same way. Curious if anyone else has observed strange reaction

Summary: Not my favorite Baby Einstein video
Review: Some videos in this series have some cool extras; mostly it seems like filler and this is no exception. There just isn't enough material on these videos. I picked this one in particular, to review, because of that horrible song about the fishes and turtles. My son watches happily until it gets to this song, then he wanders off. And I don't blame him. This singer/songwriter, whoever it is, needs to get another job. Just awful. Cringe-inducing.

Summary: The Animals ARE The Show
Review: The Baby Einstein machine seems to be running out of steam and originality, and is now cranking out new material regardless of the quality of the content. In this DVD, they don't even try to put a coherent show together. The idea seems to be to show lots of incredible footage of animals in their natural habitat, and just throw in whatever they have on hand as fillers. Even the name wasn't finalised, changing from Baby Doolittle to Baby Einstein - World Animals without explanation. The puppet handlers were allowed to do a sloppy, lazy job, and Jane the Monkey had far too much on-screen time for her lame and tired antics. This is already a short show, so imagine how much shorter it would be if you were to cut out the padding material.
An unnecessary piece was the crayon drawing of the jungle, with the huge bananas growing from palm or coconut trees. If this is the first Baby Einstein DVD you have seen, you would probably think it deserves a higher rating, but if you were to look at earlier ones like Baby Van Gogh, Baby Newton, or Baby Shakepeare, you will see a clear regression. Having said all that, the footage of the animals saves the show to a great extent, with a wide cross section of animals (even though a little heavy on the big cat side)doing what they do naturally. The music synchronised very well with the animal actions, and there is a nice catchy song in "Hey Little Turtle..." It would have been a little more helpful if they had put the names of the animals on screen, because not all of the animals shown are known throughout the world, such as meerkats or spider monkeys, and it would help parents in identifying the animals while watching with their kids. Worth buying, or better yet, borrowing just to see the animals.

I purchased this along with the Baby Einstein - Numbers Nursery
DVD for my 1 year old nephew. It is a thouroghly captivating video for the child and is actually tolerable (as much as is humanly possible) for adult viewing. This is not your fathers Barney video. I definitely recomend these videos for all children.
