Review: I really enjoyed "Let's go the nightclub: Salsa for beginners" because it was different from other salsa instructional videos. Although I did not know how to salsa at all, this video made it easy for me to learn the basic steps and techniques. The dancers in the video also seem to be amateurs, which was great because I didn't feel intimidated when trying to learn the steps. I felt as though they were also learning the steps with me. Besides learning how to salsa, I was really impressed with the different cultural segments of salsa like its musical instruments, attire, and history. I got to experience not just dance itself, but the entire environment of the salsa nightclub. This DVD/VHS really brings the salsa atmosphere to one's home. Very fun!

Summary: Indeed, great for beginners
Review: I saw a several salsa instructional videos, and there were some good ones, but I wasn't able to catch up with everything what was going on in those videos since they went too fast!! So I had to pause and rewind a lot(which I hated).
However, this video is really beginner friendly. It really takes slow to make sure you're catching up with whatever going on in the video. I was finally able to follow everything!! For those who had a hard time like me, because instruction was too fast, this is it!! The cool part is, it tells you what's cool and uncool to do at the club, so you don't have to embarrass yourself(which I actually have done before....oops), the right dresses, shoes, and etc. If you really dig salsa, it shows you some other cool stuff too.
But, the best part is, I was able to surprise my girlfriend(she's also a beginner, but was a bit better than me)!
I definitely recommend this videos for people like me.

Review: The box cover looks glossy and impressive and sexy, but what is inside is scandalous.
I've never seen anything so poorly done. I got cousins at King Jr. High School that have produced better video on a camcorder. This is amateur night - not only in terms of product, image, sound quality, choice of music, awkwardness of dancers (due to director most likely), but the editing process is so choppy, bouncing all around, THIS VIDEO CANNOT INSTRUCT DANCE.

Also, what is that pitbull doing walking around the set? That is so ghetto. I live in Frog town, near downtown Los Angeles. I didn't expect a video, packaged so well, was actually shot in a garage in East L.A.

It is also tacky to have a commercial spot, trying to hawk shoes and salsa outfits, in the middle of an instructional video. There are other venues for that. No one appreciates buying an instructional video to see some one hawking their wares upon the viewer. Save that for T.V.

Sorry to say, this one is a loser. I like Target and Amazon.com. It's not their fault poor product slips in occasionally. Helpful employees courteously returned my purchase price.

Review: The instruction in this video is well taught with an on screen count & clear instruction.
Common mistakes are well covered.
There are some of the best sections I have ever seen in a Salsa video. There are some great sections on Salsa history. What Salsa music is. Rules & manners for the nightclub.
What clothes to wear. What shoes to wear. Where to buy them on the Internet.
This video is probably one of the best produced Salsa instruction video with only one major fault.
The only thing that stops this from being a great video is the skill level of the teachers.
They are beginners who have been shown techniques that they do not have the skill to perform well.
I would class the teachers in this video as beginners.
If you do not mind being taught by beginner level dancers it is an okay video.

Review: This is a great DVD that helped me easily learn the salsa. It not only taught me the steps from the beginning, but it also has some cool extras in there that gave me a new found respect for the dance. Definitely recommend it!
