Review: My 2-year-old STILL digs out videos from the "Baby Einstein" series and demands them in preference to all others. He went through periods of obsession with "Buzz" and "Tubbies" and "Bluey-Ooo", and I almost retired the Baby Einstein ilk, but they keep coming back into favor and will soothe him back into good humor when nothing else has worked. They also soothe ME-- when my nerves are shot and the cartoons are driving me nuts, I can put on one of these and enjoy the classical music. I like Baby Einstein over the others in the series because I really do believe in the value of early exposure to foreign language. I frequently buy this for gifts for expecting friends (along with Numbers & Shapes in Spanish and Bilingual Baby).

Review: Our son really enjoys watching this video...I have a hard time because, of course, I can't understand what they are saying. He watches like he understands though'. All of the Baby Einstein videos we have are very good!

Summary: Great concept, but just not captivating.
Review: I love the concept behind this video; it is crucial to expose children to the phonemes of all languages before the age of 12 months. I was very excited to discover this particular video, especially after being VERY impressed with the quality of Baby Bach and Baby Mozart. Unfortunately, my 7-month-old just isn't interested in this video. He absolutely LOVES B-Bach & Mozart, but this video just doesn't have the same fast-paced, attention-grasping quality. Having said that, I must add that I do love the fact that it exposes children to various languages, and although it isn't visually stimulating, having it play for the auditory component is well worth the investment. 4 stars!

Summary: Excellent choice!
Review: My baby has seen this video since he was 6 months old and not earlier because I was not convinced he would like it. How wrong I was!!! Not only he loves it, but it's the only way to keep him calmed when nothing else can do. I recommend not only Baby Einstein, but Baby Mozart and Baby Bach as well. Maybe Julie Clark's earlier videos were not as sophisticated as others in the market, but everytime I see my son so delighted watching this video, makes me think that sometimes simpler things are just the best!!!

Review: i bought this when my son was 7 months old. he did not enjoy this video as much as he did the others. he is now 10 months old and still does not care for it. i think it might be to slow and it is not as stimulating as the other videos.

Summary: A stunning piece of work
Review: Perhaps I would be well-advised to preface this review with an admission that I recognize that I would not be included within the target demographic for this film. That being said, it is however, a delight that appeals on many levels.This film is an effects-laden tour de force, to be sure, yet unlike so many others it fails to disappoint in the plot. The filmmakers' addition of layers of foreign intreague is a delight, though those viewes lacking in linguistic education may be baffled somewhat by certain elements. The many memorable subplots include a surrealistic scene involving two young persons (Jack and Jill) in a desperate quest for life and nourishment, only to fail. Likewise, I commend the filmmakers for their bold choice to include an inspiring flashback sequence involving stacking rings, a visual detail both haunting in its innocence, and sweetly reminiscent of my long-past childhood. Were I to make one comment critical of the production, I would focus on the run-time. I had barely opened my second beer before the film had ended! Fortunately, there are several more videos within this series to appease my appetite for further entertainment.

Summary: Just right in 6 mos.
Review: I purchased this when my daughter was 4 and a half months. At first, she didn't seem to be too interested. However, as she is 6 months now, she is much more aware of the languages which are presented in the video. It would be nicer if the images and the sounds were somehow related. We will have to wait and find out whether this will help my daughter's language skills!

Summary: Daughter didn't like as well as others
Review: Our daughter loved all of the other Baby Einstein series videos, but for some reason never cared as much for this one. We didn't buy it until she was 18 months old, so I think we started her a little late on it. It never held her interest as well as Baby Mozart, Bach, Van Gogh, and the Baby Dolittle videos. I still think this is a great video series for under 2 year olds, but she has started to lose interest as she gets close to 2.

Summary: My 7 month old loves this!
Review: He loves watching these videos. We also have Baby Mozart and Baby Bach. He's 7 months old now and has been been watching this since he was about 1 month old. When my wife or I put on this or Baby Mozart in he starts bouncing up and down and gets very excited. It has also been very useful at times when he's fussy and can't get comfortable we'll put this in and he sits, relaxes, and watches it. I read some posts criticizing the quality of it, and yes, to an adult it seems pretty stupid and we will care more about timing of music to action. But, to my son and other babies we know, they just love it! This is a good one to start with in the collection. Baby Mozart has a couple of parts in it where it may frighten the baby because of the loud noise and the puppet going "BLAH". The first time my son watched it, he almost jumped out of his swing, but didn't cry. My wife and I love these products.
