Summary: This review after first viewing...
Review: My daughter is almost 2, and we just watched this tape for the first time. While it held her interest quite a bit, I don't think that she realized that the device in the cartoon was a potty. It certainly didn't look like any potty I have seen. This was mentioned in other reviews as well, but I think if it is viewed enough, the point will get across. Much has also been mentioned in other reviews about the "expert" in the Parents' Guide at the end of the video. He gave good information, but obviously isn't comfortable being on camera. It is his delivery and seeming uneasiness that others have mentioned as being possibly frightening to children. The doctor's accent and cadence reminded me a lot of Christopher Walken, and he could definitely give tots good reason for alarm. (There was no mention of a wristwatch being found in the potty, by the way.)

Summary: My daughter loved it.
Review: My daughter really enjoyed this video. She watched it over and over again. I believe it was a great motivator for her at 2. She was done potty training by 2yrs and 4mo. She related very well to the kids in the video. This simple video can be very hard for adults to watch but the simplicity is what I think helped my daughter understand the "potty" concept. She watched it so much the tape was ruined by the time she was done potty training. I am planning to purchase the boys version for my son who is almost two.

Summary: This video is the best!
Review: My daughter watches this movie over and over! She sings and talks along with the movie! This has helped with her potty training! She loves Prudence and wants to do exactly what she does. I think you need to have a positive attitude and have fun with the potty training. My daughter also puts her potty on her head and asks if it is a hat, then shakes her head and says no it isn't a hat, just like the movie. I have no problem with this since her potty is clean.

I think this movie is very helpful!

Summary: It's a potty disaster; right there on your living room couch
Review: My niece watched this movie, and went and hid under the covers. I think they just made the big potty seem way too scary. This isn't a potty training video, it is more like an anti-potty training video. This will scare your children so much, that they will go potty right there on the spot!!! Just say no to this movie.

Summary: OK - DD is entertained
Review: Not quite the best that could be made but it is working out. My girl will sit through it and seems to be getting hte idea a little better. Has one song... and only in that song are there any children. However they don't sing. Story is cute and effective.

Summary: Only if you want to hear a horrible "potty song"
Review: Since your child will want to watch it again and again, choose your potty-teaching video wisely. "Bear in the Big Blue House" is MUCH better all around. Clever, fun songs (5 of them!), no cutesey words for body parts ("Once..." explains that pee-pee comes out of your wee-wee, whereas in "Bear..." one simply poops, the word we use in our house). One up-side for "Once...": for parents who have questions about when and how to being potty-teaching, there is a much more informative section AFTER the kid's video, but you may want to fast-forward through the awful "Potty Song."

Summary: Only first half is good
Review: The first half is entertaining. But I'm not sure if it has educational value. The second half is very very bad. The doctor in psychology who gives instructions is very unappealing. He has not even smile once in his about 10 minute lecture. I'm wondering how any child can stand watching such a face.

Summary: My two year old wasn't buyin' it.
Review: The potty used in the video is not like the potties on the market now. And the babies dancing around the potty are cute and held her interest, but they look a little young to be potty training.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Money well spent, time well saved, progress well made.
Review: The video(s) is/are an animated version of the book(s) by the same title. The animation pleasingly embellishes the book version--takes things one step further in terms of humor and the expressions and actions of the characters. The video also contains catchy songs, scenes with actual toddlers and clever artsy backgrounds, which totally capture my 27 mo. old's attention. She loves this video with a passion and is advanced as a result. So are wee wee.
