Summary: Absolutely incredile, freaky, funny and opulent
Review: This was what was shown on the five-sided display hanging from the inside of the Guggenheim during the retrospective of the Cremaster Cycle.It is an apparent symbolic piece that represents all of the Cremaster Cycle in a bizarre sporting event. There's a guy in a pinkish highlander outfit, two punk bands (sometimes hitting the strings unamplified), a tap line, a double amputee/supermodel and nearly naked water nymphs. What more could a person possibly want? You get five different views of the same story, all beautifully shot, and nearly impossible for a lay person to decipher, but man, is it a wonder to behold! This is simply an amazing piece of footage. Thank the commercial powers that be that some of us in the public can actually own this, and not have to go to museums on rare retrospectives!
