Summary: all shows beautiful, but one to be remembered
Review: very shortly,I am a Michael flatley fan,but I must say that he will never be as "grand"than in reverdance;younger, but upon all, maybe not yet so full of his own glory;and the sobriety of the dance and costumes added to the beauty and the magic. in his other shows(lord of the dance, feet of fires)that I love really, the excess of light effects, and colors, may be does not help as much as it could do.difficult to see sometimes. all in all anyway, all these dance shows are unique and exceptionnal and magic.

Summary: Absolutely breathtaking-Flatley & his troup at their best!
Review: Lord of the Dance was the ULTIMATE in viewing. Michael Flatley and his troup have outdone LOTD in this final performance. New material, new costumes, same fantastic cast. Michael - forget acting and PLEASE come back. Irish dance will never be the same without you!!!!!

Summary: great show, but Flatley is too full of himself
Review: First, I thouroughly enjoyed Feet of Flames... it is an exciting and fun show. I admit to keeping glued to the set the entire time, and playing the finale over and over. I thought the choreography and music was wonderful. For you traditionalists, you won't like this show.

It was sometimes difficult, however, to watch some of Michael Flatley's posturing/fist-pumping/gyrating/etc. His (dancing) talents just aren't on a par with his opinion of them... watch when there are closeups on him and The Dark Lord and watch how hard Flatley is breathing. The worst for me was the sequined jacket with the "MF" on the back of it... puh-leeze!!

Despite all that, I did love the show and the dancing and music and effects. Just try to focus on something other than "MF."

Summary: Flatley shows his age
Review: Although the overall show is quite good it is obvious to those of us familiar with the original LOTD video that Michael has slowed down considerably over the last two years. If you study the two videos closely notice how more sure-footed he is in LOTD. In Feet of Flames there are times that he looks unsteady on his feet and can actually be seen taking rests while the other dancers are pounding away. It looks to me that he has put on a few pounds and his heart may not be in dancing anymore. The remaining dancers are as good or better as they were in the original video and the new numbers and restructuring of the old numbers are a noticeable improvement so the video is definitely worth having.

Summary: Great Music, Great Dancing... Great Balance!
Review: I'm 48 years old. I want to take dance lessons, I want to take violin lessons and I want to watch this video at least 100 more times.

The pace of the show was great. My emotions and my heart-rate ebbed and flowed with each number.

Sure, Flatley hammed it up a bit... he crawled, he smirked, he nuzzled -- but it all fit in with the obvious fun everyone in the cast was having.

If you're a "traditional Irish dancer" and want a training piece to show your history students - don't buy this tape.

If you're a lover of great Celtic/Irish style music, beautifully choreographed troupe dancing and heart-stopping fiddle playing -- skip your next house payment and buy this video.

The only suggestion I have for the next video is for there to be more and longer close-ups of some of the dancers in the troupe. The camera switches are so fast it become distracting at times.

I'd also like phone numbers of all the lady dancers. ( just kidding honey )

Summary: Nicely done Redo of Lord of the Dance
Review: If you haven't seen Lord of the Dance then buy this and forget buying the video of Lord of the Dance.

If you are expecting something entirely new from Flatley in the video you will be disappointed since it is the music and cast from Lord of the Dance with some new costumes. However this is a better video version than the original with better staging and some new acts.

Summary: Flatly Fantastic Fabulous Flatley Slam-Dunks Another One
Review: I was SO excited by this video! The young dancers had matured so much, and the whole show had fulfilled the promise of the earlier video. Live shows grow and change, like any other living thing, and this is a wonderful, happy show with fantastic dancing, great music, and I LOVE Michael's flute playing --- not to mention the fantastic solo at the end. I would pay to watch him take out the trash.

Summary: waste of talent, time and money
Review: if you'r a lover of Irish dance, then don't buy or even rent this video. there was plenty of talent but poorly used. it reminded me of sleezy Los Vegas production. michael flatley needs to come back to earth and Ireland and find his roots agian. stay with the original RiverDance troup and you'll do very well.

Summary: Michael Flatley: Dancing on top O' the world
Review: Me oh my, he's done it yet again. Irish dance king Michael Flatley is back in his big bang exit from being the star of his show in "Feet of Flames", twice as entertaining as "Lord of the Dance" and twice as sexy, too. This time around, Michael has produced some different choreography to the original numbers, along with all new songs and new costumes as well. Flatley, along with Irish composer Ronan Hardiman, has added a Euro-pop touch to some of the new numbers, with blaring house music that'll make you feel like you are in a disco. Also new, is Lord Flatley giving his bit at the Irish Flute. He is a world champion Flautist, and it definetly shows in 2 of the songs performed on this video; one called "Whipering Wind", a serine and beautiful song that shows a bit of Michael's soft side, and reminds one of being in Ireland his or her self. The other is a rousingly fast jam with all the band, and it seems as if you are at a rock concert rather than at a dance show-in one word, superb. The cast of main dancers is the same as last time, who are now seasoned into the limelight of Flatley's good energy and fun. They are all in their teens and early twenties, some of them who have been dancing all their life. They give off the feeling that they are having such a great time, and never show any signs of tiredness or fatigue. All in all, if you are a fan of Irish dance or have never seen it before, I highly suggest this video. It will make you wanna dance, I guarantee!

Summary: Michael, Lose Some weight...
Review: Feet of Flames is a very good production, much better than LOTD. The sets are better, the camera work is improved and the dancers are also very good. However, Michael is not as good as he was in LOTD. He is over-weight and cannot do the high kicks he did in previous productions. He was slower and tried to make up for it with herky-jerky movements. The outfits he wore could not hide the "love handles" and the extra weight he was packing. Another thing that puzzles me, what was the "crawling" thing. He did it twice. Not good. Also the hat was a mistake. I see all of the 5 star reviews and I have to ask, Do I have the same tape they do.
