Rating: Summary: I thought it was great! Review: I am an avid icewine lover and I found the dvd to be very informative and interesting. In addition to English, I also speak Spanish and German and I was very impressed with the translations. The dvd insert has a map that shows the locations of icewine producers in the Okanagan Vally (it looks like a great place to visit for wine lovers). There are also extra sections that describe serving, storing, VQA standards, and more that I found interesting.I was left with a firm understanding and a deeper appreciation for icewine and the facts behind it's history, harvest and production.
Rating: Summary: I thought the story was well done Review: I don't agree with the previous review. Sure, it took me about 20 minutes to get through the dvd presentation, but the information was to the point and very well produced. I learned a lot about the history and production of icewine. The menu system is extensive and easy to use. The video sequences are composed nicely and the quality is excellent. I give a full thumbs up for this dvd.
Rating: Summary: Very Informative Review: It's not all that long, but very informative. I even sent a copy to my grandfather in Germany - he was impressed that he could watch it in his own language!I especially like the night shots of the ice wine harvest - I never knew that's how it was done.

Rating: Summary: From the Director of the Canadian Icewine Harvest DVD Review: Keeping the camera operating properly through the cold night harvest presented certain challenges. Shot in 16:9 widescreen format, the same dvd can be viewed in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish and Czech. Learn the standards that must be followed in Canada to produce true icewine.
Rating: Summary: Short but informative Review: Sure, it's a short video but how much can be said about icewine. I thought it was very well done and enjoyed watching it in my native (German) language. I recommend it to anyone with a passion for icewine. Also, at $9.95 I think its a bargain.
Rating: Summary: Don't blink or the DVD is over Review: The short length of this DVD is an insult, especially for the cost. I don't want to spend $15 bucks-plus for a DVD that lasts about 15 minutes. And not that much was crammed into that period. Some nice shots of the vineyards, some shots of the production, but nothing beyond that. If you don't have enough to make a decent length DVD about a subject, don't do it at all or at least combine with other related topics to stretch out the playing time. The fact that the DVD comes in several different languages is irrelavent. I bought this DVD to get some real information about ice wine, not to learn Spanish, Japanese or another language. I'd wait for this one to come to video - oh, wait, this is the video. Then I'd borrow a friend's copy.
Rating: Summary: Canadian Icewine Harvest DVD ASIN#B00006JEI9 Review: Very well produced in widescreen format! It's nice to finally see a video that shows the process and VQA standards in true icewine production communicated in quickly in understandable terms behind the production of such an exqisite beverage. Having all of the languages on one disc is also very useful, I was able to show it to me father in his native language.
Rating: Summary: I thought the story was well done Review: when i saw this video at your shop i get very glad because i love the wine, and the title is very interesting, but when i saw the dvd i become very disapointed because it takes only 15 minutes long, and that is not a really documental.
