Rating: Summary: the video clips are the best Review: by far the best thing on this dvd are the video clips of the bushisms. i can't believe our president says the things that he says. you can almost watch his brain working as he speaks. its extraordinary! i've seen a few of the bushism clips on-line before, but never have they all been in one place before.
the dvd is divided into funny chapters like "Bush on the economy" "bush on education", "bush on iraq" etc...each section has like 6 or 8 bushisms...some i've never ever seen before...there's other stuff on there too like the george w. bush singers which are cool, but the music videos at the end get a little boring. the theme music rocks, i wish they would play it on the radio.
Rating: Summary: LMAO!! Review: i laughed so hard i cried watching some of these. funny funny funny! my highest recommendation!
Rating: Summary: Don't Misunderestimate This DVD! Review: I've watched this DVD about a dozen times and still can't get enough! The DVD proves that Brian Ungar needs to be back on the Daily Show! He couldn't be funnier. Al Franken has a great segment about Bush that i think everyone should watch. There's Bushisms on here that i've never even heard before!
Rating: Summary: Hilariousness Review: It's nice to watch a DVD that's funny during this angry election year. I'm a Bush supporter and even I found his Bushisms something to be laughed at. I liked the JibJab guys too and this DVD has that same fun appeal to it.
Rating: Summary: All the best "Bushisms" in one place. Review: The best thing about this DVD, is having access to all Dubyas' classic blunders, all in one place. The songs and commentary got old pretty fast. But, who wouldn't want the best of the best like. . .
"There's an old saying in Tennessee. . . I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee. . . that says, fool me once. . . shame on. . . shame on you. You fool me, you. . . can't get fooled again."
or
"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."
The only reason I gave it 4 stars was the host commentators, imho, have the personality of a couple of bricks. There's no need to point out why the clip was funny, we get it. Their talking seem to be more of a space filler then anything.
Rating: Summary: Great concept, lacking on execution. Review: The magic of Bush's verbal gaffes is that they are plentiful and unyielding. It's hard to fault the makers of this DVD for wanting to inject their own commentary on Bush's blunders, but it weakens the overall effect when you have "Title Card"/"Bushism"/"Commentary-Joke" one after the other... Just let the man speak... uninterrupted... rapid-fire... without blunting the damage by slowing the whole thing down to a crawl. Perhaps long strings of these exist online. I guess that's why we have the internets.
