It was impossible to workout - being quarantined with preemie twins was intolerable during RSV season. This video and guided audio for my strollertime power walk is my answer to prayer! Rating: Summary: Wow....great workout! Review: I am really surprised by how much I love this workout! Since having my daughter I have been either too busy or too tired to even think about returning to the gym, but I am so out of shape I knew that I had to do something.
What I love most is the flexibility that this DVD offers. I choose not to walk with the CD that comes wit the program. I just oush the stroller as fast as I like for 30 to 45 minutes. (I live in the desert southwest, so this part is easy for me.) When I return to the house, I plunk my daughter in her highchair, put her dinner on her tray and while she eats she squeals at the objects that pop up on the screen.
The toning part is my favorite, though. I love that I can easily repeat segments so that I can focus harder on a certain muscle group if I like. After doing this workout the first time, I was a little sore the next morning. That was all the push I needed to continue!
I highly recommend this workout to ANYONE...not just new mothers!
Rating: Summary: Great for Mom and baby Review: I bought this for my sister who had a baby and myself. We both agree this is exactly what we needed. It is good for all levels. It is creative and keeps you interested, as well as your kids. My three year old thinks it's fun to work out with Mommy. I've since given it to other people and they all agree it is great. It's nice to see mothers and babies on this video. It is sometimes intimidating to see the "super model, fitness queen" when you're lucky just to find enough time to workout, that's why this video makes it easy to workout excuse free.
Rating: Summary: For all moms! Review: I originally bought this DVD for my sister, she just had her first child, and she is an avid exerciser. She loved it and recommended I purchase a copy for myself, as I am always struggling with how to find the time to exercise between work, volunteering, and my 2 small children. I am totally in love with the program. Since my kids are out of strollers, they bike while I walk with them. They actually look forward to mommy doing her "exercises" on the TV. My 6 year old likes to join in, while my 3 year old is entranced by the images that bounce across the screen. We've even created a game where they have a list of all the figures, and they try to check them off when they see them (this helps with reading skills, a BONUS!)
I find the exercises challenging and adaptable. I am very happy with me purchase, and I recommend Strollertime to ALL moms, not just those with babies!
Rating: Summary: Exactly what I needed!!! Review: This workout is exactly what I needed after having my second child. I used to be an avid exerciser, and even used the Firm videos throughout my pregnancy. However, after having children, it became increasingly difficult to workout without them climbing all over me. This video solves that problem by having entertaining pop-up pictures and other kids to keep them entertained. My 3-yr old son loves working out with me now, even if he is using imaginary weights!
This workout is easy enough to modify for beginner or experienced exercisers. Beginner exerciser can use lighter weights, while more experienced exercisers can use heavier weights and a greater range of motion during the lunges, squats, etc. You will definately feel your muscles the next morning!
One of my favorite parts of the workout is the yoga-style relaxation portion at the end of the workout. It allows you to relax every part of your body (especially your mind!) and refresh your spirit. Underwater shots of dolphins/fish/divers keep the little ones entertained and relaxed as well. As moms, we definitely can use all the quiet time possible!
This is the perfect workout for moms looking for a challenging workout, with the added benefit of keeping your kids entertained as well. I highly recommend!! Keep up the good work Strollertime!
