Review: After reading the other reviews, I thought it would be a good purchase. My husband travels a lot and I wanted him to be a part of the lamaze training so I ordered this video. It was very poor quality with the sound coming in and out. The information was outdated and the people in it seemed to be out of the 70's. I was very disappointed. There was nothing useful at all on this video. I was able to get more valuable information out of my "What to Expect When You're Expecting" book. I would not purchase this!

Review: Both my husband and I were unable to attend Lamaze classes due to the fact that we work very different schedules. We were concerned that the pregnancy would be difficult without proper Lamaze instruction. Our doctor recommended "Having Your Baby." She indicated that it was tailor made for expecting mothers who were on bed rest, and for couples such as ourselves. After viewing the tape we were amazed at how detailed and enjoyable the video was. The instruction is wonderfully detailed and presented in a very uplifting manner. The video included full chapters on birth and C-sections, which no other video has. When it was time to have our child, we had no worries that we weren't prepared. This video made my pregnancy and delivery so much easier than I had expected. Thank you for this product.

We are expecting our first baby, and due to our schedules we are unable to attend an actual class. This video has certainly helped alot!
only down side to this video, considering they write 2001 on the title, I didnt expect to see a class of early 1970s ppl participating in the making of the documentary. But all the information that it is provided makes up for it big time.

Review: Having one's first baby is an exciting and terrifying experience. The "Having Your Baby" lamaze video took the fear out of the equation. The instruction is easy to follow, it is complete and fun to watch and practice along with. The animation is exceptionally well done and adds to the experience. Ronnie Hammond is totally professional and has helped us so much that we named our son Ronnie.

Review: In searching for the best aid in teaching expectant parents about childbirth, "Having Your Baby" surfaces as the most complete, the most useful, and the most balanced presentation available. As an adjunct to class, or especially for those who cannot get to a class, it beautifully prepares the expectant parents for the labor and birth process. The information is accurate and up to date, and the actual footage of hospital procedure and the birth process is extremely beneficial to see, as well as very tastefully presented. I highly recommend "Having Your Baby" as the best presentation on the subject.

Summary: Fantastic Video!!!!!
Review: Our first child was born without the benefit of this video, and the experience was less than wonderful. A friend told us about "Having your Baby", and we used it prior to delivery of our second child. What a difference!! The labor progressed without fear of the unexpected and actually was a beautiful experience for us as a couple. We have a healthy baby boy and wnat to thank the folks who made the tape. We recommend it highly.

Summary: Basic, sloppy and outdated
Review: This tape is a very basic childbirth informational video, and not the in-depth Lamaze training video my wife and I were hoping for as a refresher course for our second child's delivery. For $50 I really expected a whole lot more. The camera work wasn't very good, and just based on hair styles the video looks like it was recorded in the 1970s. The two women who did the talking both egregiously and repeatedly mispronounced the word "centimeter" (a cornerstone word for childbirth), and not-so-advanced words like "synonymously" were misused. The two presenters also kept breaking out in fits of laughter over silly comments they kept interjecting.

Review: This video looks like it was shot around the time my mother was pregnant with me. OK well maybe not that old but you get my point. Being that I couldn't fit an actual class into our schedule I would say this is better than nothing. It covers most of what we need to know but I really wish they would make a new one!
