Summary: Timeless classic
Review: The elements of good golf play have not changed since the game was created. Jon Norsworthy's common sense wisdom about what it takes to improve your game will be of great aid to players of all levels. Ignore how badly his students play--the lessons he teaches to them are applicable to everyone

Summary: Norsworthy is a complete goof
Review: The instructor in this program is hilarious! I thought his trick shot sections was pretty cool too. This program has a high "cheese" factor, but I thought it was great. The golf jokes are especially lame, but what golf jokes aren't?

Summary: At Home Stretching segment...GREAT!
Review: The Trainer, D.J. Frare, offers excellent stretches that will help improve your game and increase your flexibility. I have seen marked improvement on my drives, and my swing seems to have increased in range. I have noticed my backswing no longer causes any tightness in my shoulders, and I seem to have greater velocity on my swing which has greatly improved my game. I contacted D.J. Frare (he owns Fitness In Motion, a fitness center in St. Louis, MO) and he wrote a strength training program specifically for my game which has been very worthwhile. I reccommend you contact him.

Summary: Old Video in DVD format ---- Overpriced
Review: The video was filmed in 1983. I'm not feeling happy to buy a 20 years old instruction at this price.

Summary: Saved my game!!!
Review: This DVD did more to improve my technique than any instructor I've had. It was also great to be able to watch it in the evenings after work so that I could work on my game when I wasn't on the course. This DVD is a definite winner.

Summary: I think that guy is overreacting
Review: This DVD is a rehash of old footage, but it is put together very solidly. I enjoyed the instructor's laid-back approach to learning golf. He suggests that when to start simply "grip it and rip it." I think that's a lot better than nit-picking every tiny thing I'm doing on the driving range. Also, it's quick to jump around to different sections, the golf jokes are ... well, golf jokes, and the trivia was interesting.

Summary: good golf could be better
Review: This DVD is not un-entertaining to watch if you have a lazy afternoon to kill, but if you have played, oh, three or more rounds of actual golf in your life, it is going to be too basic for you. The entertainment value lies mostly in watching two young, absolute novices at the game improve their skills over a 13-week period. However, your own skills, if you have any experience on the course, are not likely to see nearly as dramatic an improvement. It might be useful for introducing an absolute beginner to the game -- someone who has literally never hit a golf ball before -- but I can't really judge that aspect fairly, because I'm a guy with tons of experience just trying to shave strokes off his handicap. For me, it was frankly utterly utterly useless.

As far as image and audio quality, this video was originally a mid-80's era TV show in Europe, so the video and audio quality are along those levels... not unwatchable by any means, but not exactly up to modern DVD standards either.

So to summarize, not a horrendous unwatchable video, and perhaps it's just the ticket for someone who decided this morning to take up golf. But if you know anything at all about the game, I recommend you spend your money on a Leadbetter book or video instead... you have probably already surpassed anything this ancient TV series can show you.

Summary: Not bad, not great
Review: This is a dvd definitely designed for the beginner, although I found some of the tours of golf courses and places in Europe to be fairly interesting. I wouldn't recommend this DVD for an advanced player, but I would consider it for the novice.
