Summary: LOVE this video!!
Review: I've tried multiple prenatal videos including shiva's (hated it) and fitmama (love the salsa part, not the yoga). this is, by far, the best yoga video. she concentrates on breathing and kegels which are KEY in childbirth. she goes at a good pace and explains each pose so that you are doing it correctly. she doesn't talk about trimester modifications b/c you should be able to do all the poses throughout your pregnancy and if you can't, just go as far as you can but they're all safe poses. you should know your body so someone telling me go as far as i can is great advice, as far as i'm concerned. i've practiced yoga for a number of years and i really enjoy this video.

Summary: More frustration than relaxation
Review: If you have never taken yoga before, this is not the video for you. When I found out I was pregnant, I wanted to find an exercise program that I could work around my schedule, and a yoga video seemed to be the perfect fit. However, I found that this video did not give me enough warm up time, nor were the positions explained enough for my non-experienced need. The video moves very quickly, and I found that I was more frustrated than relaxed in trying to keep up. It would have also been helpful to know that I would need a padded mat, foam block and extra blanket for props. The box states that it is "appropriate for any stage of pregnancy & all fitness levels", but should add that it is helpful if you have participated in a yoga class before viewing.

Summary: Great for the mind and body
Review: Rocki is a terrific instructor and I love the way I feel after doing this tape. She gives different positions for different ablilities- I'm still doing the beginning stuff, but hopefully by the time the baby is born- I'll be doing the more challenging stuff. I love the focus on the baby and the focus on listening to your body and how your body feels. Rocki stresses that you should listen to your body-unlike so many other tapes that just want you to sweat it out- Thank you Rocki---I'm so happy I found this video.

Summary: No Help For All
Review: The Rocki Prenatal Video is not helpfull because there is no disctinction between trimesters. All of the models are at the end of their pregnancies. The only guidance she gives during a stretch or pose is "make more room if your baby is big." There are a lot of poses on your knees, which I found painful. Also, her voice becomes very annoying as she never stops talking. Even at the end when you are supposed to meditate. She's talking about bonding with the baby in 12 different ways. I could not relax during that part because I wanted her to be quiet. Also, I found it odd that she has all of the models lay flat on their backs during meditation. I am still in the beginning of the second trimester but even I know that after 20 weeks it is not safe to lay flat on your back. After the video I did feel stretched out but I feel that she should have models at different trimesters to demonstrate the proper way to complete the stretch or pose. I will not watch this video again. It was a waste of money.

Summary: perfect for all 9 months
Review: this is a great workout! it kept me flexible throughout my pregnancy (as flexible as you can be carrying around an extra 30lbs) and helped with many of the aches and pains. i could feel the difference if i didn't work out that day.

it has many places to stop if you're only feeling up to part of a workout, or adjust it depending on your strength that day. i especially loved the relaxation at the end (i'm lazy at heart) and i used these techniques for relaxing and focusing during labor. it also helped with the strength i needed for recovery.

i highly recommend this workout. i have been practicing yoga for years, but always on and off. this tape got me practicing it everyday. i used the vhs tape but it was lost during our last move, i'm buying the dvd.

Summary: Great prenatal yoga
Review: This is the best prenatal workout I've found. I feel like I had a massage when I'm done! So relaxed, so centered. The workout stretches all the right places and I think the Pilates leg lifts and kegels are well-integrated into the routine. I also love the meditation and the connection I make with my unborn child. I tried Fit Mama and was really disappointed - some people call it yoga, but it's not. This feels just right. So glad I found it!!

Summary: I feel like myself again!
Review: This tape has been a godsend for me. I have been doing The Method prenatal yoga tape since my first trimester, and recently added this to my lineup. After just one workout with Rocki, I felt like a new person, not like a six-months-pregnant lady! Even my husband noticed my improved mood and appearance (I was probably standing unslouched because I felt better!) While this tape isn't for those who have no exposure to yoga, it is so good that it would be worth taking the time to learn (either by getting a book to learn the yoga terms/positions first, or by watching the tape several times through before attempting the moves.)

Summary: Terrific! Couldn't get by without it!
Review: This tape is great! I'm so glad I found it. Every time I use it it makes me feel better. The stretches are nice and slow, the poses are a challenge but not so difficult I can't do them and it feels like this instructor really knows what she's talking about. I like the different options she gives, depending on what you're capable of doing. It feels like a work-out, but also makes me feel energized (how is that possible?). I love the meditation on the baby at the end, too.

Summary: A lifesaver!
Review: This video has been a lifesaver for me, both mentally and physically. It's not flashy or gimmicky and the instructor isn't a celebrity (that I know of) but the workout is very solid. I think that's one of the things I like best about it - it's substance, not just show. It seems like Rocki really knows what she's doing because I always feel so good after doing the video. She offers different ways to do the poses, which is great on days that I don't feel my best. (I imagine they will be handy later in my pregnancy, too, when I approach the size of a whale.) I highly recommend it for any preggo who wants to feel good.

Summary: too much talking by Rocki, cheesy video
Review: this video has high hopes, but Rocki never quits talking and is so cheesy and annoying, she reminds me of Denise Austin as a wannabe video star, she annoys me to the bone. The moves can be intense. but you have to work too hard to overcome the instruction flaws and poor music. I will be trading this one away.
