Summary: I actually liked it,
Review: All I can say is that my 5 & 7 yr old girls loved it. The animation should have been better done.... looks as though this project were rushed. I think the producers missed an opportunity for a classic animated film, but that didn't keep my kids from singing the Titans' song!

Summary: Another geat Xena/Hercules movie!
Review: As a dedicated Xena/Hercules fan I found this movie to be a fast-paced, well-written story. I loved the song "What Do I Do Now", preformed by the one-and-only Lucy Lawless, who portrays Xena on the show Xena:Warrior Princess.

Summary: WHAT?!?!?!?!
Review: I bought this becuase it was a xena movie but was extermely disappointed. I am thankful they kept the original cast but I seriously think the writters and amination artist were smoking something. The Story line is not that great but it could have worked if it were live action. I think it would have been cool to see the titans as we saw many other creatures on the shows. I loved both the shows and will watch them whenever I can but have not watched this again since the first time I got it. I was hoping that they would make a Xena live action movie beucase after all Herc got four live action movies. A good Xena movie will never happen becuase Xena is 'dead' and Kevin Smith sadly died. But they could always make a Xena movie to clear up somethings from the past and Gabby could alway wear a wig or it could be something from the last seasons. Sorry I strayed but there is not anything good about this movie. Even for a die hard Xena fan it is a snooze to watch. Refers to the VHS version.

Summary: A True, Die-Hard Xena Fan
Review: I loved it, as any true, die-hard Xena fan would. Though I'll admit that the animation should have been done by some competant artists. When Xena was singing, most of the color for her breastplate, bodice, leathers, and skin was missing. Everything else managed to have color during the movie. Most of them were completely out of character. But what can we do? What's done is done. Now that the sixth season is over, there's more details to their personalities, and this animation was created less than five years ago. In spite of all of that, I loved it, because, it's Hercules and Xena!!!! The music was fab. I managed to find pieces in the soundtracks. And whenever Lucy Lawless sings, I become inspired. I just need to tune my voice up a bit. If you love Hercules and Xena, and you're not critical, then this is definitely for you. Adios from a Chamorro Xena (wanabe). Hee Hee!

Summary: I came, I saw ¿ and I was disappointed!
Review: I would like to issue a PUBLIC HEALTH WARNING to everybody thinking about taking a look at "Hercules & Xena - The Animated Movie": Stay away from it unless you have some sort of death wish. It's not even a good laugh!

I won't even start about how all the characters acting out of their usual self especially when Hercules growls all the time like his Tikka Massala was a bit too heavy and he slams poor Iolaus against a wall for just voicing some concern.

Or that Iolaus comes across as the guy who only stands around and tries to talk Herc out of everything. Out of character was certainly his reaction when Hercules asks him if he'll come with him to Mt. Olympus to free his mother, or if he'd rather stay behind and flirt with Aphrodite. Now as an Iolausian, I know that the 'Golden One' does have a thing for the Goddess of Love, but he would have not stayed behind and let his best friend take on the Gods by himself while looking at Aphrodite with drool running down his chin!

Hercules' hair looked also very familiar and it took me a while to place it as it was flowing in the wind. It was from "The Last Unicorn". And why did the Titans look like some lost additions to the X-Men?

The entire disaster was accompanied by Musical-style singing. I fear however that "We are the Titans - we are the best" will not be a chart breaker this summer. I just can't see myself dance to it and it doesn't have some cool moves to it either.

All the characters where voiced by the actors who play them in the show, but even those talents, didn't help. I tried to watch parts of the movie with my eyes closed, but Hercules upset stomach noises brought me straight back into the cruel reality.

The artwork behind the movie is extremely poor. Being a fan of "The Dark Knight", I could recognize some of the character's body forms and facial features and if you'd painted a black cape around Hercules, there would have been no telling him apart from Batman. The artists on the job must have either loved Iolaus' vest or they had a special deal on paint, because the entire background of the movie is purple. Or maybe they just had one too many for the road ...

Artemis looked like a female cross between Peter Pan and Robin Hood and her constant giggling was starting to get to me towards the end. Thank the Titans, they turned her into a rabbit.

And Ares! Boy, was I looking forward to him until I saw this greyish weasel of the shadow of Kevin Smith's portrayal of the mighty God of War. Whatever happened to the concept of basic black? This Ares was certainly not tall, dark, handsome and I doubt that he could stay up all night. In this dull grey outfit, no wonder Xena walked all over him. Literally.

But Xena and Gabrielle topped it all. The Warrior Princess was more than just a 'black-clad chick with a bad attitude' and I still haven't figured out where those red highlights in her hair came from. Punk certainly wasn't the fashion in ancient Greece - or was it? Gabrielle did the only sensible thing. She turned into an American Eagle ("Oh-ho say can you seeee ...") right at the beginning of the movie and that's all we heard from Renee until the end. A wise move.

Overall - as friends told me they couldn't get past the first fighting scene - I felt now challenged to get through it. I believed firmly I'd seen my share of crap in my lifetime and nothing can beat " Ghostbusters - The Animated TV Series".

But I must admit to have been proven wrong once more.

One thing struck me though. The storyline and a subconscious connection I made to the show ... In the very last episode "Full Circle", Hercules and Iolaus are taking on the Gods and the Titans ... Maybe "The Battle for Mt. Olympus" was a sign of things to come?

Summary: Mulan is better than this one.
Review: I've seen this movie back in the early time of 1998 and now I rarely do, because the part about Xena turning into a falcon was an exception to the plot. This is more for fifth graders.

Summary: cheesy, corny, but hirariously addictive
Review: Okay, so this movie was pretty goofy and the animation isn't exactly Shrek quality, but I definitely think it's worth seeing. It seems to help to have a good sense of humor going into this. I can safely say that five out of six of my friends (mostly females from the ages of 17 - 20) enjoyed it quite thouroughly. It is filled with songs that somehow everyone knows the lyrics to them the first time. ;)If you are the type of person who can get through life without taking things too seriously, you would prolly enjoy this movie...besides, Artemis IS pretty cute!

Summary: What is with this cheap amimation?
Review: Okay. To start I'm used to seeing snow, and after seeing the animated Herc and Xena...I'd rather watch snow (as in static snow at the end of the tape. Yes, don't get me wrong, I am a great fan of Hercules and Xena. And beacuse of the bounderies live action possesses I was completely thrilled that it was decided: that a cartoon was to be made. YA-HOO! It would have been great too. The original cast and a really great story idea, that could have easily spawned sequels...in a word Sucked ( just because of the cheap(I can't draw) artist!?! rendition of the actors and the really slow, throw back to 1960's anmimation. Why? Oh, the humanity. The (movie) Gods should be merciful, and never allow the same artists to ever create another cartoon again. Thanks For Listening, The movie amazon, MOUSE
