Summary: MEMORY LAPSE
Review: I didn't know this was the first two episodes of a television series, but after watching it, I certainly can see that it was. The production values are okay, but I understand some of the footage of Mars was taken directly from the Schwarzenegger hit movie which spawned this series.
Michael Easton, Nick Mancuso and Karl Pruner did commendable jobs in their roles, but the script was a little contrived and direction a little tepid for this kind of action film. Cynthia Preston is all but wasted in the typical wife who hates her husband's job and whose father was killed fifteen years earlier.
Not an unenjoyable movie, just flat.

Summary: Amazing science fiction- no comparison
Review: I have never before seen a show that offered such a perfect mixture of science fiction, action and suspense. The characters are believable, the set is masterful and the storyline is engaging. It is the most compelling, adult entertainment that I have ever enjoyed.

In fact, I was so impressed with it that I made a point of programming it on my set, looking up its associated web sites and now contacting Showtime to continue support of this unique program. This show deserves a chance - and the audience is out there to support it. I will tell you one thing that is lacking though - IT NEEDS MARKETING! I never knew it was out there until I happened on it by accident. Now I make a point of watching it every weekend and I guarantee that if it were marketed appropriately it would gather a huge following. It is definitely worth buying, worth watching and worth supporting!

Summary: The Bladerunner TV series
Review: If you're expecting Total Recall 2070 to be a continuation of the Arnie film from 1990, then you'd be wrong, however, you won't be disappointed, it's BETTER!

It's really the Bladerunner TV series. The same issues with androids, the same tops of buildings with large extractor fans turning slowly with steam bellowing from the ground.

What stops it from becoming the usual TV series based on a film is a compelling plot and the boldness to have nudity, violence and strong language.

Picture and sound quality are good although nothing special. The computer graphics of the city sometimes look a bit dodgy.

Really worth getting!

Summary: Better choose the originals....
Review: It's not a bad movie - just the originals are better; the heroes never reach Schwarzeneggers action scills in "Total Recall" nor his action flair, the city never looks as dark as in "Blade Runner"; even though special effects should have improved it lacks compared to the oldies. You can make a better investment ...

Summary: PK Dick's writing into a single universe?
Review: It's rare that the pilot for a TV show is any good. Usually, the show flubbs arround for an episode or 2 before it figures out what it's aiming for. Not So for this. Total Recal 2070 knows exactly what it's trying to do, and does a darn good job of it. Unfortunately, only the pilot has been released on either DVD or VHS. Hopefully at some point, the owners of the series will realize that there is sufficient demand to release the whole series.

If you were to take "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep", "We Can Build you Wholesale" and some of the other books by P.K. Dick and write them into a single universe, it would be this show.

Summary: This one stands out!
Review: The pilot to a stunning Sci-Fi masterpiece.
Resembling Blade Runner yet based in the future of Total Recall. Not to be mistaken for Arnold's action movie 'Total Recall', TR2070 stands out in its amazing ability to build character into a world controlled by greedy corporations.
A must see for all true sci-fi lovers!

Summary: Way underrated
Review: This "movie" is the first two episodes of an awesome TV series. It is a captivating blend of 80% Blade Runner, 15% Total Recall, and 5% Data from Star Trek. The plot is dark and intriguing. Character development is excellent. Cyberpunk 2020 role-playing fans should love this. I just hope that episodes 3-22 come out on DVD - the sooner, the better.

Summary: Has anybody read Do androids dream of electric sheep?
Review: This is a cable effort made to make money. It was the first in a series on Showtime. The d----a---- powers that be pulled it before it had a chance to blossom. Of course, you can now catch the series on an independent station near you, making money for those da's. The writing is actually great. If one had read the book Total Recall/Blade Runner was based on or any other of Phillip K. Dick's works, one would Know that. I do Know the movie, Blade Runner, intimately, word for word, and find Arnold's Total Recall an exciting action oriented movie and Harrison's work impeccable. Rent this if you have the chance and Know that the actors and the writers cared about the substance of the story. This is a movie to see without the jaded FX, it is a human story.
