Summary: It's children of the gods!
Review: The "rare" movie children of the gods is back! The only difference is the cover. This is a great movie! I recommend this to any sg1 fan. Since it is unedited, beware: there is some nudity. I was surprised because the tv version cut the part out.

Summary: It's Ba-a-a-ck!
Review: Forget eBay. If you've been trying to get the 1997 movie that kicked off the television series, this is it. Apparently "Children of the Gods," the movie considered "rare" by fans, has been re-released with this new box cover. It is, however, definitely the same as the movie listed by Amazon as "currently unavailable." Thought those of you pining over it would want to know. The only place the actual title appears on the box in on the back. Way to go, MGM--and Amazon!

Summary: The Greatest Movie Ever
Review: The original movie "Stargate" was my favorite movie. It combined 2 of my favorite things, a great storyline which the original had, but it also had even better acting. RDA is simply the best actor ever! I also love the series on showtime (my favorite show). I recommend this movie to everybody!

Summary: A wonderful movie - perfect for any sci-fi fan!
Review: While I didn't see the original movie on Showtime, I did see the cut version on syndication. Only recently was I able to rent and view the uncut version. Once again I was totally enthralled with the movie. The acting, the costumes, the storyline - all held me gripped from beginning to end. I highly recommend this movie for any fan!

Summary: Great Movie
Review: I rented the movie and I thought it was great. I am very disapointed that it is unavailable though, and I have been trying to find the video, with no luck. I have been a fan of the Stargate series for a while now and I try to watch the show every week thats why I want the movie beacuse it's just like the show. I also think it's cool that all the Stargate movies are connected and then it goes to the show. Once again this is a great sc-fi action movie and I highly recomend it!

Summary: Absoutley Amazing
Review: I haven't actually got the video but I saw it on TV last year but missed the last 15mins. Been trying to get a copy since but no such luck. Haven't missed an eposide since though. Best thing on TV in ages. Can't wait for the next series, or for the video to be released again.

Summary: Good! Great!
Review: I am a big fan of Stargate the movie and Sg-1. I missed seeing Children of the Gods when it came on show time, but finally I got to see this video. It was great. The special effects and the cast espically.

Summary: 100% better than the first episode!!!!
Review: I am an Apophis fan all the way! The way the movie started with Apophis entering the gate with the Serpent Guards got me excited! The whole idea is brilliant...infinite worlds to visit running into evil Gods. I love it! cannot WAIT for the DVD!!! Bring on the DVD!!

Summary: This video cost me!
Review: I missed it when it was first shown on Sky, and I couldn't wait for it to be repeated, so I rented it from the video store (at £2.99 a day) and kept it for a week, when I finally remembered to stop watching it and take it back before the shop closed.

Two daays later I rented it out again.

The acting is fun, though predictable at times (Sam Carter's response to Kawalksi's put downs, and you could always ell the Daniel was going to be assigned to SG-1), but the good moments, like Jack's face when Sam mentions McGuyver (Richard Dean Andersoon played McGuyver in the series), and Jack's offhand comments, not to mention the great action, wonderful FX, and stirring music, far outweigh the occasional bit of predictability.

Basically...I recommend this video. A lot.
