Summary: Trust No One
Review: For those who wish to understand the fan base behind the X-files season 2 is the perfect starting point. The first season is not necessary (Although still excellent) to understand the second. Season one establishes the partnership/friendship between Mulder and Scully but season two shows the bond that will hold them together for 6 more seasons. The episodes contained in this boxed set reveal to us some of the best acting/writing/production of any television show of the 90's. Each show is like a mini movie. It is also the beginning of one of the best (if not always well written later on) long running storylines in Television history. We are introduced to some of the most annoying and despicable villains in any show too. There is an emmotional intensity displayed in season two that is rarely ever reached again on the X-files. A prime example of this is the espisode entitled "One Breath" One of televisions finest hours in my opinion. This season also has something for every suspense/thriller fan- from little green men to bloodsuckers to serial killers the show crosses every boundary with style and grace. The bonus features are not all that great but it is still worth the price for an entire season, not just a 'best of'. For anyone who started to watch the show after season 5 and enjoyed the show I think they will love season 2. See where it all really begins. We can only hope seasons 4 and 5 are put on DVD. After that it starts to get weak.

Review: Por fin una de las mejores temporadas de los Expedientes X en DVD. Tener todos los capitulos de la segunda temporada con esa calidad de sonido e imagen es algo imperdible para cualquier fanatico de la serie. A tener en cuenta que esta subtitulada en español, aunque en la informacion tecnica no lo dice, tanto esta como la 1er y 3er temporada estan subtituladas.

Summary: X-Ceptional!
Review: While season one laid the ground work for the series, season two really gets things rolling. Initial character development as well as the mythology of the series was explored in the first season but expanded on a great deal here. The overall quality of this dvd set is exceptional. Sound, with the help of dolby prelogic is also quite good. The only disappointment is the lack of special features (special effects, out-takes, etc.) that are presented on this box set. But that certainly does not dimish the value and quality of this collection. Bring on season three!!!

Summary: Return to One of the Best Seasons
Review: I have been an X-Files fan now for quite a while and its sad how it is losing its popularity so much. The second season of the X-Files was definately one of the best seasons ever! The Nielsen ratings were better than ever. This DVD set has everything on it an X-Files fan would want! The imaging is excellent for all of the episodes. I really enjoy no commercials! There are so many cool bonus features! It will take you a while to watch all of the episodes and explore all of the extra features so it is definately wort... for any real X-Phile!

Summary: Excellent as always
Review: The first few seasons of the X-Files were undoubtedly my favorites. I enjoy the stand alone episodes, as well as the mythology episodes. The deeply caring relationship was really developing between Mulder and Scully in this season, and it's a total joy to watch. I adore Humbug, Irresistible and One Breath. I pray that they continue to release every season on the boxed sets.....they are fantastic, and I will continue to purchase them as they come out.

Summary: It's great, but it doesn't beat season one
Review: I miss the days when the show was pretty much only about aliens. Don't get me wrong, I like the killer ghosts of old people as much as the next guy, or a giant fluke worm that lives in the sewer system, but every fan will admit that his/her favorite episodes are the ones that involve aliens. So season 2 offers good news and bad news. The good news is, there seems to be more episodes about aliens, including the nice cliffhanger at the end, but the bad news is that none of them are as good as the first two episodes of season one. But the other episodes are usually good enough to pick up the slack. I can't really pick a favorite season between one or two, (I mean, there's 49 episodes between em, how does one decide?) But suffice to say, this is very good. The extra features are again very nice, so it doesn't appear they're letting up. What a collection this will be when all the seasons are finally out on dvd (and what a large amount of cash I will have spent!) And again, Season 3 is out in May!

Summary: X-ceptional!
Review: The introduction of the entire first season of the X-Files on dvd was a great idea...and now it has just gotten better. While the first season introduced us to these extraordinary characters and permitted everyone to see just what all the fuss was about, the second season expands on character development and so much more. Season two reveals just how good this show can be...exceptional plot twists and stand-alone episodes that hit the viewer with a combination of emotion, paranoia, distrust and at times on-the-edge-of-your-seat horror. Duchovny and Anderson hit their strides and have helped evolved this show into something beyond anyone's expectations. By season two, this show had expanded from it's "cult" following into mainstream television that deserved the accolades that it was receiving from viewers and critics alike. I recommend this dvd collection highly. Sound and picture quality are top-notch. Acting and musical score are also first rate and special features allow us to step behind the scenes (one of the best is Gillian Anderson practicing her bug-eating scene in Humbug). This collection is a must-have for any X-File enthusiast or anyone interested in high quality, out of the ordinary drama.

Summary: The best thing that ever happened to DVD
Review: This is just so great. The X-files have come so far in such a short time. The first two seasons are definitly the best. I have been watching since the third season and have been hooked eversince. The worst season was definitly the sixth followed by the seventh. The sixth season was just stupid. There was a whole bunch of nonsence going on and it followed halfway through the seventh season. Then it got better. Scully was at first very nieve and was able to joke around. She seems to have hardened and is just not the same. I thought it was the end when D.D. left. But Robert Patrick is just a godsend to the X-files. They did a great job of casting him. He is the perfect person for the part. I miss Mulder, but Dogget helps. It isn't as bad as it could of been. I can't wait untill the following seasons come out on DVD. and I also hope that the X-files will keep on stunning me and my family for many more seasons

Summary: No Outtakes?!
Review: It goes without saying that the X-Files is one of the best drama series of all time. However, my only complaint is that there are no outtakes. With all the other extras, youd figure Chris Carter would add some funny moments from the show. Hopefully the Season Four DVD set will include them.
