Summary: The Best Yet
Review: A simply excellent movie, and my favorite of the Star Trek series. The film is a parable for our time. Picard, who has spent a lifetime committed to the high ideals of the Federation, meets his clone - a clone who has spent his formative years in tortuous, merciless surroundings. Wonderfully played by Tom Hardy, the clone despises the Federation and its ideals. He also depises Picard for his weakness in following those ideals. Picard's faith in himself is challanged, as he wonders if his principles and ideals would have survived the upbringing that his clone endured.
... I found myself inspired by this film, and reminded of the reasons that Star Trek has become such eternal favorite.

Summary: 2 disc Special Edition or barebone?
Review: I have to say i enjoyed Nemesis my only regrets are
that scenes got cut out that shoulda been left in. Watch
the trailers for those deleted scenes. (Worf telling picard to
be cautious, or troi collapsing in the turbolift). With the special editions being released i hope this DVD gets that
treatment. Starting with adding in those scenes, like wesleys
and guinans cut scenes. The movie was great. I read someone in there review say the enterprise keeps having shield problems and so forth. To him i say this Shinzons ship was a SUPER ship
every weapon was shot at it and the enterprise was still in one piece even after it took a pounding. (Try doing that voyager)
Shields may have fallen eventually but come on, it was the only ship still there when all was said and done....

Summary: Great Action and Great Story
Review: ...this movie is great stuff.
The last two STNG films "First Contact" and "Insurrection"
were good put lacked something here and there.
This new film has it all, drama, action, suspense.
If you are a long time follower of STNG, there is no way
you could be disappointed by this film.

Summary: Who's running the show anyway?
Review: I felt sad when I left the theater. Not so much because Data decided to leave as a hero, but because the big wigs at Paramount have sunken to such a new low in allowing this film to be released. It had potential. But then there was the overexposed sequence on the dusty planet and all the blurry images. I agree with the other writer who said the actors all looked like they wanted to be somewhere else - anywhere else. You could feel their discomfort. The opening scene was especially dissapointing for me. Was that really Patrick Stewart?
The mind rape was disturbing to me. I didn't like it at all and I think it diminished the film. On the other hand, I'm looking forward to getting the DVD so I can see the film in focus at home since the theatrical experience was mediocre and a waste of time.

Summary: A much better film than folks credit it for!
Review: I was extreemly happy with this film. Yes, the first
few minutes were a little dopey (wedding scenes) but the
rest of the movie went on really well and the last half
hour of the movie was the best I'd ever seen in any Trek
film....

Summary: FOLKS -- GET A GRIP!!!!!
Review: Yada, yada, yada...All I'm hearing is how bad Nemisis was. Speak for yourself. I sometimes think that there is a "conspiracy" out there to try to make Nemisis out to be the worst of the Star Trek films. You can look at the glass half full or half empty. I, for one, thought it was the best of all. Go ahead and call me crazy, but if it's all right with you, I don't mind living on my own planet. Star Trek III was much more bogus than Nemesis would ever even think to be. And Star Trek 2 and 6, the best of the series, I still would put Nemisis in that category. People, calm down. Don't get caught up in this hype that says Nemisis is a failure. I for one, went 3 times and wanted to go again. It was a great movie, and I loved it. If you didn't like it, drink some Romulan ale. Perhaps we've lost your pattern in transport.

Summary: This is not real Trek. It's a cold hard action film.
Review: I went to see the latest STTNG movie looking forward to seeing the characters again. The movie started well with the wedding scene and some nice moments with the Next Generation characters.
But that was it for from then on it became a "Die-Hard" style of film with little characterization or plot,and the plot made no sense. Why would a police-state like the Romulans possibly allow a human to rule them? How come he's got a ship that no-one else can match?Where did they get the idea that Shinzon looks like Picard? They don't look alike at all and in fact Shinzon looks kind of strange. The photo of Picard as a young man looks ludicrous,it does not look like him at all.
And why destroy Data,Star Trek's most appealing character?
This was a huge mistake. By doing this,they turned the film's triumph into a very flat end to the film.
This was unnecessary and copied ST:The Wrath Of Khan,only not as well done. The big problem with this film is that it doesn't have a heart,it is just an action film,nothing more. STTNG was a warm hearted family series and this is where Nemesis fails. Nemesis is just a cold hard action film. I much prefer the previous Trek film in ST:Insurrection because that film retains the warm-hearted philosophy that the cold ST:Nemesis lacks.
And there is another Trek character that isn't treated with much respect,the Enterprise itself. Is there anyone out there that can't penetrate the security of the Enterprise? Once again,the shields fail and to top this off the ship runs out of ammo after one battle. ... Would it be too much for fans to ask that Rick Berman make one Star Trek film where the Enterprise is shown to be a strong ship?
It would be a Star Trek fans dream if they could make it so.
Just imagine a STTNG film where they say "the shields have held captain"."They did not penetrate our security captain" or "we have outgunned them captain". How about just one film where the Enterprise takes on an enemy ship and actually wins the battle?
The Enterprise is a main character,weaken it and you weaken the film. And for the second time in a row,the incomparable ILM has not done the effects for a Star Trek film. Why not?

The Film Galaxy Quest used ILM and their effects were superior to the last two STTNG films.

Summary: OUT WITH A BANG
Review: Nemesis is a darker trek but yet still maintains the Star Trek spirt. The ending will have you on the edge of your seat for the last 40 minutes, and it ends with a bang. If this is the end of the TNG crew their will no disopointments, hopefully not thoe. However I do think it is time for DS9 film! It does lack the Undiscover Country sighing off at the end but the producer had no idea this would have been the next TNG movie. Nemesis has action, humor, romance, suspense and action again!

Summary: Star Trek Nemesis was the best of them all!!!
Review: This movie was the best of them all. It took off in a bang with an adventure down on the planet and then got a little more serious with meeting Shinzon, Picard's Nemesis. Then it finished off with the best and most ultimate battle scene that Star Trek has ever seen, and then the death of a beloved friend. This movie outdoes them all by far!!!

Summary: It was good but there was no closure to the series
Review: Nemesis was a really good movie but it was nowhere near as good as the old-school Star Trek films. There was just not enough emotional closure in the film. This is billed as the "Final" trek film but we don't really see Picard truly say goodbye to his "family" on the Enterprise and we don't get the feeling that anyone cares that they will be split up. I would have liked to see Picard finally end up with Doctor Crusher and I would have liked a more sincere and heartfelt goodbye scene with Picard and Riker. Data's wake was also kind of emotionless and rushed and the crew didn't really seem to be that sad that he was gone. The continuity in the film was also poor. Worf became an Ambassador to the Klingon Empire in the end of Deep Space Nine but he somehow ended up as a Security officer on the Enterprise once again. There was no mention of his Klingon post at all. It was like we were just forced to pretend that Deep Space Nine was not part of the Trek Universe in that aspect. Wesley Crusher's appearance also affected the Trek continuity negatively because he left Starfleet in the final season of the series yet he was in a uniform at Riker's wedding. He was also given incredible superhuman powers that would make his appearance at a mortal wedding ceremony impossible. Tom Hardy, on the plus side, was excellent as Shinzon. He truly made the film worth watching. The scenes with Picard and Shinzon were great and I wish there were more of them. I hope the DVD fixes the timeline errors and I look forward to buying it. It's not a great Trek film but it is not the worst in the Trek series. It's nowhere near as bad as one and nine. (What the heck were they thinking when they made nine?)
