Summary: Deanna gets Will to shave!
Review: We get to see Picard as a loose cannon here. He wants to save a civilization--his bosses think it's too small (only a few hundred people) when compared against the "greater good" (how many sins are committed in that name!)--the planet has a "fountain of youth" effect. He even has an admiral threaten to slap his patties if he doesn't do as he's told. So he pulls a Jim Kirk and says "hell with that". He even develops a love interest on the planet (Huh? Whatever happened to Bev?). He also borrows Worf back from Ben Sisko. But we also get to see the old flame between Riker and Troi rekindled. Not that they weren't always kidding themselves anyway about being "only friends now"--after all, he still called her by the endearment in her native language. But as Worf (another ex-lover of Troi's) points out to Riker; "You have always felt the same way about her--you merely let your feelings out for a little air." We're possibly seeing a new Worf here as Jadzia Dax's widower. Or maybe to paraphrase the man himself--he has always had it in him to be philosophical--he merely had to put his growly Klingon bluster on hold for awhile.

Summary: Not the best, but still better than the rest.
Review: This isn't as good as First Contact (FC). That film was in many ways like the episode Starship Mine. But that wasn't the only TNG episode I like. The inner light, Drummhead and so on. They arn't full of action but they make you think. And that is what Insurrection does. This movie was supposed to be "the funny one". AND I LIKE IT.

Summary: ITS NOT THE BEST BUT HELL ITS NOT THE WORST
Review: Hey I liked this movie, I'm not a star trek fan. I NEVER watch the damn show but hey I loved first contact and thats the reason i rented this one. The writing is not lame and the FX aint bad either. I dont really take Sci-Fi movies too damn seriously. Actually I dont take star trek too damn seriously. This is a good film - I've wasted tons of money on bad movies and this one was not one of them.

Summary: Was it one of the ordinary two episodes TV series, or what?
Review: As a trekky from outside the US, the only thing I enjoyed much during the movie was to see old friends; Picard, Riker, Data, Worf, Geordi, Diana, and Doc, together. It was really like one of the ordinary two episodes TV series, nothing else.

Summary: A really long episode, but pretty good
Review: I guess it's hard to say exactly why this didn't do very well. I think that it's hard to care for the Baku. They're too good looking. More than that they are technologically superior to us. One kind of has to say, look what your piece and tranquility has done for you now! Oh yeah, you're soooo smart to give up all your weapons and transportation, now you're gonna get blown away! Actually, there not even threatened. They're just going to be moved so that we can harness the fountain of youth quality of the planet's rings. I just don't feel sorry for them. It kind of points an accusing finger (or tries to) at people that promote the industry of technology, basically the entire Star Trek fan base. And they don't go anywhere. The movie opens on the planet, the entire film takes place on the planet, and the movie ends on the planet....yawn. The only cool part is when the Enterprise is being pursued by a Sona ship into a nebula, ala Star Trek II: The Wrath of Kahn. But to be fair, it ain't too bad. I've seen it twice, own the DVD, and will see it again. They just need a better cause than this. The stupid Baku should be able to defend themselves, or at least make SOME effort to do so. Here they just suck off the Federation teat and whine about how there are bad people in the universe. Yeah well, that's life bub! Aside from all that Bent Spiner, Jonathan Frakes and Patrick Stewart give excellent as always performances. On the flip side, my girlfriend thinks this is the best one.

Summary: IT'S NO FIRST CONTACT
Review: First Contact was a moving, intriguing, thought-provoking film laced with enough action and effects to keep the viewer--even non-Trek fans--glued to their seat. Great movie, but INSURRECTION disappoints. It seems like a 2-hour TV episode with an out-of-control budget. The plot is simply asinine and the entire film left me thinking "I paid good money to see this?" Though INSURRECTION was "ok" and light-hearted (perhaps it needed to be after the "darkness" of First Contact) maybe in Star Trek 10 (if there is one after this ninth-movie fiasco) they can bring back the Borg to spice things up a bit.

Summary: It gets deaper the more times you watch it.
Review: I hated this movie when I saw it in the theater. Then again, as a fan of The Next Generation series, the only movie I liked in the theatre was Generations. Oddly, this movie, and First Contact, grow on you as you re-watch them. Besides the admitted stupidity of having Riker pilot the Enterprise with a joy stick, and Data removing an emotion chip that had been fused into his Neural net, the basic story has the depth that the better Next Generation episodes had. Picard shows the kind of moral leadership that we all crave from our leaders. Patrick Stewart is so convincing. His focus is so intense. Brent Spinner gave Data emotion even though Micheal Piller idiotically wrote his emotion chip out of the script. Even with some stupid details, this is The Next Generation's best movie.

Summary: LeftOver TNG Episode
Review: This Generations LeftOver had an added scene in the beginning to show WORF as being a visitor on the Enterprise-E. They must have done that one so that Star Trek-10 wood look good. Ideas for Star Trek X.

Star Trek X - Radioactivity: Picard and Crew, from the Bridge of the Dual Warp-Core Enterprise 1701-F transport a Fleet of Federation Starships 5 million light years using Andromedan technology to the Andromeda Galaxy to reverse the onset of Deadly High levels of Increasing Radiation threatening the entire galaxy, and threatening the Milky Way with the Immigration of thousands of species, many of which could be dangerous or contaminatory to the Galaxy. Launching hundreds of probes into Andromedan stars to induce Solar Fusion/Fission Antimatter technology, the federation makes Andromeda a safe place!

Imagine the Budget for that, ugh! If you like my idea, mail me yours.

Summary: Very Pedestrian and Even Wrong-headed!
Review: A very boring installment in the franchise, as my date actually feel asleep during the movie. Would have made a decent 2-part episode of the series but as a feature movie it was a big disappointment. Also, I was not convinced by Picard's argument. I don't know... moving 600 people so countless billions in the galaxy can be saved by a new medical technology... sounds like a compelling reason to me. Very weak plot and the joystick control on the Enterprise to boot, just made it a bad, bad movie... time to put the Trek franchise to rest I'm afraid...

Summary: FINALLY! IM NOT ALONE- THIS WAS A BAD MOVIE!!
Review: GET OVER IT YOU SO CALLED LOYAL TREK FANS, EVERY ONE WHO SAW THIS FILM WAS DISAPPOINTED MAJORLY LIKE MYSELF. WHY DID FIRST CONTACT BECOME SO FAMOUS-- ACTION AND GREAT PLOT. INSURRECTION- TOUCHY FEELY ETHICS AND THROWN IN YOUR FACE COMEDY DID NOT WORK! YES IT HAD THE BEST MORALS OF ANY TREK FILM YET, BUT IT WENT ABOUT SO LOUSY THAT I FELT AS IF I WAS WATCHING AN EPISODE INSTEAD. TREKKIES, STOP FEELING SO INSULTED BY TRYING TO SUPPORT THIS FILM AND JUST ADMIT IT IS NOT GOOD. WHEN A FILM PACKS A INCREDIBLE STORYLINE AND GREAT SPECIAL EFFECTS (BATTLE SCENES) IT WILL BE CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED. INSURRECTION HAD NONE OF THESE. I AGREE WITH HUMMTIDE-- BRING THE BORG BACK THIS TIME DESTROYING THE FEDERATION/DOMINION ALLIANCE AND USE THAT DYSONS SHPERE SINCE ITS A GOLDEN GEM TO BE TOYED WITH. AND MAKE THE NEXT FILM WITH ALL THE CURRENT SERIES CHARACTERS INTO A BIG BUDGET WAR FILM DESTROYING EVERYTHING WHICH WOULD SET THE BRICKWORKS FOR A SERIES 125 YRS IN A LATER TIMELINE. IT SEEMS SO EASY TO MAKE A GOOD FILM BUT PARAMOUNT JUST REFUSES TO. AND FOR GODS SAKE, BALOON THE BUDGET!!!!
