Summary: Best Star Trek ever
Review: For me Enterprise takes Star Trek (I mean Genes vision) to the point, this is for me the best ST Serie ever, and I do not say that because its new (Voyager once also was new and I never liked it very much). The only negative is the title song, oh man, thats bad music, for one whos habituated to Goldsmiths geniality, this commercial mainstream is less then nothing, its a pain.
My problem is that the only way to see Enterprise is thanks to a friend who sends it to me to South America burned on DVDs. I am hoping that the studio releases soon the Season DVDs so I can watch it in better quality!

Summary: Great for latecomers...
Review: I think a DVD set would be FANTASTIC for latecomers to this wonderful series.

Since I've been able to make time I haven't missed an episode. However, that was only this season. I missed out on all the teethings of the inaugural season.

I'd buy this in a heartbeat!

Review: In Australia it is very 'iffy' whether or not you will be seeing a episode of Enterprise at all once a week as Channel 9 seems to forget about it and just shove it out of the way if something like tennis is on. I think it's quite unfortunate as this usually goes on for weeks and weeks and I dont get to see any of the newer episodes.
And we are already behind by about a year in screening times compared to the UK etc, so it will be great to see these come out on dvd.

I pretty much statred watchihg this program ever since the first month and haven't stopped in my interest.

I agree though at time the actors become a little awkward, but the program doesn't lack in luster compared to it's predocessors which where mostly awful now but acceptable at the time for quality.

Summary: Absolutely worth a look
Review: ...despite an absolutely horrid theme song (it sounds like a bad Bryan Adams ballad written by Celine Dion), this is a series that manages to keep up the momentum throughout. Despite some cheesy moments, this is for the most part, class stuff. If only they could get rid of that blasted soap-opera song...

Summary: Stunning
Review: The original series of Star Trek showed a future of humanity at peace from the Cold War. Beyond the days of the Iron Curtain now, Enterprise brings the future back to where we can almost reach it. The theme song (great in my opinion) sets that very tone, telling us that this is a time of exploration and not 5 year missions to who knows where, meeting the same things again and again. If anything, I find the new series better than the original, and can't wait for it to hit DVD.

Summary: Enterprise is the Best!
Review: I have been in love with Enterprise ever since the trailors. I love the theme song, it shows the human side of Enterprise and it explains the feelings of the forefathers of the Federation!

I love Enterprise for it's excellent plots, acting, and realism. The best thing about Enterprise is that the show is realistic. It COULD happen. Some people think it is supposed to be all "pretty" and "organized" in the beginning, but WWIII has just ended and this is the first steps into a better humanity! I Like that the show is "grungy" in a sense. The crew gets dirty, they make mystakes, and get injured. The show even focuses on the little things that most people take for granted when watching the show.

Summary: So much fun to watch Enterprise
Review: I couldn't disagree more with the friends that do not appreciate Enterprise. I've watched TNG since the late 80s and early 90s and now that its out on DVD I enjoy continuously watching it.. till Star Trek - Enterprise was released. I believe Berman & Braga have kept the true nature of Star Trek as conceived by Gene Roddenberry and created a show that truly ties current problems faced by humanity to what we know of Star Trek (such as TNG).

Its dissappointing to hear that not all people who enjoyed TNG as much as I did does not feel the same way I do about Enterprise. After watching the show, I fear my TNG DVD collection will collect dust for while.

In my opinion, Star Trek - Enterprise sticks to the original philosophies of Gene Roddenberry while introducing many of the problems faced by humanity today. Its the most exciting Star Trek since TNG, and I hope Paramount will not wait till the 7th season of Enterprise to release it on DVD. Kudos to Berman & Braga!!

Summary: Corny...
Review: The new old very old Enterprise with a captain playing goofy and always being over-the-top informal, the Spock-like Vulcan character, the extras dying at their first appearance etc. etc. -sigh - what's the idea after all? Deja-vu over and over again. It's like a B-version of the real Star Trek. Corny. Simply corny. Nothing comes even close to TNG (not including the last movie, though).

Review: The above quote from Original Series Chief Engineer Montgomery Scott sums up my feelings for Enterprise perfectly.

Weak. Bland. And yes -even boring!

For the most part the show is just half-baked re hash of old plots of the other shows. Enterprise is 'cut-and-paste' Trek using the mentality of 'If it worked once, it'll work again'. Most of the suppossed 'new and fresh' elements have been mostly cosmetic in nature with no real bearing on how the stories are told.

Rick Berman has had his day, but obviously his tank has run dry as far as trek is concerned. His 'writing partner' on Enterprise, Brannon Braga, has never (at least in my opinion) known what make good Trek. His were my least favorite TNG scripts, and Voyager-which was flawed from the start- went downhill significantly after Mr. Bragga took over the writing staff.

Paramount should enlist the people who made Trek great- Michael Piller, Ira Steven Behr, Ron Moore and Rene Echevarria to save the franchise. (I know that some people think entirely new blood is needed, but I think they should re-enlist as many people who worked with Gene Roddenberry as they can.)

Bottom line- Enterprise isnt worth watching when its on TV for free, I certainly wouldn't waste good money on it.

Now when they release the Original Series in DVD season packs (ala TNG and DS9) instead of the individual eps, THEN there will be a post DS9 Trek DVD release to look forward to.

Summary: A very different Star Trek
Review: I have to say I like this series. It has a 'less polished' feel to it then the last several incarnations of Star Trek. Given that this is the first ship from earth to leave the solar system, this fits. The Vulcans play a big part in this series, especially T'Pol. I believe Jolene Blalock plays a better Vulcan then even Leonard Nimoy did. There is a Vulcan coldness to her, but at the same time hints of a warmer nature come through sometime. She can communicate more with a look then with several sentences of dialog. I believe she is the best character in the show, and is the prime reason I watch it. I also like the humor with Archer and his thing with Vulcan ears, and how the Vulcan's respond to it.
There is one thing I can't understand, and this is a critique of the last several series. They are always running a spectral analysis of just about everything. Come on people, this is getting old! How about moving up to wavelet analysis? Since this is an enhanced form of spectral analysis, you would think several hundred years down the road they would sometimes be using wavelet analysis!
In any case, I can't wait until they bring out Enterprise on DVD. I know I'll certainly be in line for my copy!
