Summary: Extravagently funny and exciting.
Review: This movie is excellant. It was funny, humorous, scary and very touching. My MOST FAVORITE CHARACTERS ARE THE GUNGANS.[JAR JAR BINKS,CAPTAIN TARPALS AND BOSS NASS are all soooooooooooo cool.I cried literally cried when Jar Jar Binks came on the scene.I GUESS THAT YOU CAN TELL THAT I'M SERIOUSLY IN LOOVE WITH HIM.I'm in love with all the GUNGANS.I hope that every person out there will some day put an end to the crewd insults and nasty things that their all saying and doing.

IN THE WORDS OF THE GUNGANS I NO LIKEN DA MAKENEEKS.

Summary: Great Movie!
Review: This movie is excellent! Though I did not care for any of the characters as I did in the other Star Wars movies. I hated Anakin ( he was rude and boring ), Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn were rude, Queen Amidala was stupid and Jar Jar Binks was an idiot, though pretty funny in some scenes. Darth Maul was, I think pretty much the best guy. Actually the only two people I like is Obi-Wan Kenobi ( don't ask me why ) and Darth Maul ( great guy ). But the movie was still good and entertaining. I thought the podracer part was way too long and the movie had its weaknesses ( such as where Qui-Gon Jinn came from or why he does not turn into a ghost like the other Jedi ). It was kind of sad when Qui-Gon Jinn.....you know, and when Anakin left his mom ( but that wasn't so bad because I only felt bad for Shmi not Anakin ). But there was still plenty of humor and suspense. My mother ( who used to be a Star Wars fan ) thinks this movie is stupid and a bore, way different from the other Star Wars and way worse, but I on the other hand think it's great. Well, whatever you choose, May the Force be with you.

Summary: Great movie even for us non Star War groupies
Review: This movie is exciting. I watch it usually with my young son and its about every little boy dream; a young boy hero, flying, racing, and saving the universe. I think that Darth Maul is very scary in spite of my son's reassurance but we both agree O b One is great. I cant wait to see Attack of the Clones.

Summary: An excellant movie
Review: This movie is far superior to the original trilogy. The jedi fight scenes are awesome and the action is almost non-stop. If you like action movies, this is one for you.

Summary: Not Star Wars Material
Review: This movie is good but it does not live up to the Star Wars standard. I believe Lucas has become too interested in money instead of quality. It is an entertaining movie, but should have the Star Wars title on it

Summary: Brought me back to SW
Review: This movie is great (and was sadly neglected at the Oscars, who clung to their pet "American Beauty"). It's hardly groundbreaking or earth-shattering, but it is good solid entertainment that will have you clinging to your seat.

For years I was disillusioned with Star Wars because of the dopey, average fiction churned out by the wannabe authors, none of them with GL's imagination and unrecognizable characters (my sister claims that in one trilogy, Leia bears a remarkable resemblance to a certain nitpicky, near-sadistic Starfleet Admiral Nechayev). They portrayed the Jedi as a glorified police force, rather than a near-religious order who devote their lives and souls to their ideals, and the Republic as being like the Star Trek Federation without the "to boldly go" and the starships--all bureaucrats. It was--and is, now that they're trying to emulate George--disgusting.

Well, George saved all that. He brings us straight into the action: the tiny jungle-swamp planet of Naboo is being blockaded by the Trade Federation, who are trying to get the young Queen Amidala to agree to a treaty. They are in league with a mysterious dark-robed man.

Two Jedi show up: Qui-Gon Jinn and apprentice Obi-Wan Kenobi (think a knight's squire), but the Trade Federation quickly tries to kill them. It doesn't work, or it would've been a really short movie. They try to escape with the queen to the capital planet of Coruscant to unwind a plot, but along the way Qui-Gon runs into a slave boy with special abilities...

Anyone who saw the original trilogy will recognize five particular faces, and can tell that this sets up the two other prequels.

The characters are wonderful: Qui-Gon Jinn is played by the ever-hunky Liam Neeson, with a stately manner and air about him, as the strong Jedi Master who leads with his heart. I was skeptical about the choice of "Trainspotting" Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi, but five minutes into this movie and I was convinced. Jake Lloyd is one of the better child actors I have seen, and Natalie Portman is simply perfect as ultra-pressured Queen Amidala.

Ah, on to Jar Jar Binks. He wasn't THAT bad, people. He grated on me the first time I saw this movie, but he grew on me as I continued watching. And if you think he's a racist stereotype: go find something REAL to protest about, okay? Life is too short to go trying to find supposedly racist things to complain about. You're insulting the actor's integrity as well when you say that...

Now, on to the next part. The special effects take your breath away, especially Artoo's first scene--but the lightsaber battles really take the cake. The "Duel of the Fates" near the end is probably the best-choreographed swordfight in the history of television. Even the amazing swordfights of "ROTJ" and "ESB" can't hold a candle to it.

A small note: I think it's worth it to buy the widescreen video. Why? Because during the "Relax" scene on the "regular" video, they chopped out Obi-Wan during a very amusing line.

Summary: An excellent movie
Review: This movie is great with excellent special effects and SOME of the best sword fighting sequences that I have seen in the movies. Yes it isn't as great as the first ones but what sequel's or prequel's do. The deleted scenes are completed and look good unlike some other DVD's . I think most people were expected the greatest movie of all time and what movie can possibly live up to that kind of hype.

Summary: AWESOME DVD!!!!!!!!!
Review: This movie is great, but the DVD is just awesome. Fully loaded with extras, LOTS of them! The deleted scenes are just amazing, worth buying it for any star wars fan! If you were a bit dissapointed with the movie, I think that the DVD release will keep you happy for a while!

Summary: A great story to begin them all.
Review: This movie is great, ecspecially the action scenes (The podrace, lightsaber fight, etc...) Liam Nelson and Ewan Mgweger were extrimly good, and i ecspecially like the relationship the shared. The young Anakin Skywalker (Darth Vader) was performed extrimly well, we can all expect him to show up in many later movies which I am excited about.

Summary: After a 16 Year Silence, Lucas Comes Back... With a Vengence
Review: This movie is great, Jar Jar or not. It keeps the Star Wars saga alive. This movie has everything from Gungans to Wookies, Humans to E.T.s. This movie ROX.

I remember seeing the movie when I was youthful. I was so pumped and ready to see the flick! I was wereing a Wars T-Shirt and was ready! It opened with a wonderful BANG. Seeing those LightSabers clash, baby, I was a kid again.

The acting is perfect, with the exception of Padme. I can't believe how stale she was! Lucas [did well] directing, but I say he shoud've used models like the Classics, but he used CGI!

I hope this movie is re-released in 17 years!
