Summary: Stink-o-rama!
Review: This movie stunk! I was soo hoping it would be good, but it wasn't. I'm sorry. I actually had to stop the madness and shut it off with about 30 minutes to go.The plot was decent, and I really thought with the good cast it would be hysterical, but it was not to be. I found I only mildly chuckled, and before I knew it, I was more than a hour into the movie. The guy from "Just Shoot Me" plays a really annoying alien that makes you grind your teeth. If you want laughs, I'd look elsewhere!

Summary: GREAT CAST, GREAT SCRIPT, GREAT MOVIE
Review: Galaxy Quest also has great FX. SFX never used to matter to me much as a decent storyline is always more important. But in Galaxy Quest you get both. The movie is so clever and sharp and witty that you wonder why more Hollywood films can't be this original. I must use that word again. Original! You must buy Galaxy Quest for all these reasons. In comedy movies I never really care about the characters but there was an exception here. The Thermians are so funny. The way they talk, walk and...clap. The character of Brandon was also a hoot. The DVD is loaded with extras, including something about the Omega 13 that I can't seem to access. There is an amusing (if pointless) Thermian audio track that sounds like Dolphin talk and dogs barking mixed together. You MUST buy this great movie today. The DVD is in Dolby 5.1 and is anamorphically enhanced at 2.35:1

Summary: move over, Star Wars
Review: I saw Star Wars in its original release when I was 14 years old (the perfect age) and was blown away by it. Not since then has a movie grabbed my attention (Raiders came close, though!)in quite the same way--until Galaxy Quest, that is. I just had to buy the video and I've watched it every day since then. It has definitely replaced Star Wars as #1 on my all time favorite list. This is a must have movie!

Summary: Yowza! Again! Again!
Review: This is the movie STAR WARS: EPISODE I: THE PHANTOM MENACE should have been! It's fun, it's fast, it's exciting. Even my wife, who doesn't usually like science fiction, said it was a "cute" film, and that's high praise from her! It's hard to believe it's only an hour and a half long with all the stuff that's happening. The cast is excellent, but I think Tim Allen is beginning to show himself as an excellent actor and not just his clumsy grunting Tim Taylor alter ego. Hey, George Lucas! You reading this? Watch Galaxy Quest and see where you went wrong!

Review: Galaxy Quest is a charming and good-hearted parody of the oldsci-fi television shows we know and love, particulary the original"Star Trek." Tim Allen plays the bombastic, Shatneresque lead star of an old Sci-Fi series ("Galaxy Quest") that has developed a cult following. Allen and the rest of the crew haven't had a decent part since the series faded 18 years ago, and subsist by making paid appearances at Trekkie-like fan conventions. Life goes on, until one day... Plenty of laughs and sci-fi in-jokes abound as Allen and his castmates stumble through their alien adventures... Allen is more than adequate as the posturing star who suddenly has to become a real hero, and Sigourney Weaver is terrific as a bosomy blond crew-mate who always leads with her "best pair." Alan Rickman plays the Spock-like "Dr. Lazarus" with hilarious disdain. The real stars, however, are the naive, hero-worshipping aliens -- the way they talk and walk is both hilarious and heart-breaking. I can't imagine anyone not liking this film; there's enough here to entertain even people who don't normally like sci-fi films or TV shows. The DVD "extras" include out-takes and dialogue translated into "Thermian" (the aliens' helium-like language.)

Review: This movie is my favorite comedy. I will have to get my own copy! People who saw Star Trek would like it but people that just like comedies would like it. This is the "Movie of the Year" for me!

Review: Sigurney(I can't spell her name) Weaver as Barbie. Tim Allen as Captain Kirk(Sorta) Alan Ricknam as a Spock/Tuvock/Data Fusion(Interesting!) Tony Shaloub as a spineless Scotty(Did a great Job) This is the Funniest film since Airplae in 1980. OK OK Since Star Trek The Motion Picture. SEE THIS ONE! By the way, ILM did the effects for the movie, NOT PARAMOUNT IN HOUSE DILDOS! State of the art Silicon Graphics machines REALLY HELP!

Summary: A sweet production
Review: I am VERY picky about my movies. This is the perfect satire for all Star Trek shows and it's fans; it is flawless. Tim Alan does a perfect Bill Shatner at all times. Solid storyline & continuity. A MUST for Trekors collections. Other sleepers I suggest you check out are "Joe's Apartment" and "Defending Your Life".

Summary: Not just for "fans"
Review: Intelligent and amusing satire of Star Trek fandom and its effects on both audience and stars. Cast of the long-cancelled "Galaxy Quest" are recruited by aliens who mistake them for the real thing; the cast has to in essence put on the best performance of their lives. Much funnier if you are familiar with Trek or many of its conventions and/or cliches, as well as its fans. Very game cast has a grand time with their roles; Sigourney Weaver is especially fun. Better than many of the Trek films themselves.
