Summary: Woah
Review: When I bought my DVD player, one of the features I liked was the ability to jump right to my favorite scene. The first time I poped in the Matrix dvd, I went to the scene selection menu, I then realized something, I had no favorite scenes. The Matrix is one giant favorite scene. There are no low points, or slow points, it grabs you right away, and keeps you interested until the final scene. This film redefines movie making. The effects are so seamless you don't even realize they are there. The real star of the film is the dynamic multi level story. It is such a breath of fresh air to see an original idea in film for a change. Bye this movie, and it will never leave your DVD player.

Summary: Great!!!
Review: When i entered the theatre with my matrix ticket, i figured id be sitting through another sci-fi/shoot 'em up with talentless actors (aka. keanu reeves), tons of dazzling special effect, and no story to mesh all this together. I WAS WRONG!! this was my favorite movie of the year. it had great action, awesome f/x, and a story the will blow you away. its rare to have a movie loaded in all key areas. i kept you thinking, it kept you involved. so often nowadays the cgi f/x are better than the plot. trust me THE MATRIX is a total package.

even reeves was good in this.

Summary: Fantastic special effects..........great story
Review: When I finished watching this the first time, I sat back and (like Keanu Reeves) just said "Whoa". Mind-boggling special effects that, thankfully, didn't take over the story. Speaking of the story.....What an outrageously innovative plot. Humans as batteries for Artificial Intelligence kept in a permanent dreamland called "The Matrix". Top notch thriller. One of the best sci-fi movies ever.

Summary: A movie that make you think
Review: When I first heard about this movie I was not thrilled. I, and I hate to admit it, was not at all intersted until I heard other people talking about the movie. I finally went, with a friend of mine who had seen The Matrix twice already and eagerly said that she'd see it again, and I was BLOWN AWAY. The special effects were GREAT and the message was just as good. If you want to see a movie that makes you go "HMMM?" instead of "HUH???"... EXPERIENCE the movie THE MATRIX!

Summary: a cool movie
Review: when i first rented this movie with my dad, i was about 8. i covered my eyes through the parts with the bug and taking out the bug because my dad said i wouldn't like them. i was trying to ignore it, but i couldn't. the fight scenes in this movie are cool. i saw it again with a friend and watched the bug part and it isn't sick. this movie is really good. people say that it has a bad plot but that's not true. i've seen it about 5 times and i'm not sick of it. it is one of my favorite movies. for an R movie, it isn't to scary. i can't wait for 2 and 3.

Summary: I think The Matrix is one of the best movies to date.
Review: When I first saw a comercial for the matrix I was imeadieatly intrigued. The only scene I saw was Keanau Reeves on a roof top, dodging bullets. The scene didn't show much, and I think that's what drew me in. With a lot of movies these days people will see a preview and expect a lot, and more times than not the movie is a huge dissapointment. After I saw The Matrix (for the first time) I was totally satisfied, it was everything I could of expected, it was interesting and is yet another movie that makes you think if Artificial Intellegence is such a good idea. To top it all off The Matrix is a great special effects ride that would impress anyone. I give this film 5 stars and highly recomend its purchase to anyone.

Summary: The BEST film I have ever seen
Review: When i first saw matrix on "coming soon" area,i thought it was another ordinary sci-fiction film but when i watched it,the whole of my ideas about the film has changed,i really wanted to be there, with Neo and Trin and save the world from those bad guys. And if you want to know why it is the best film ever seen,i can say that it is the unique plot and scenario and of course slow motions that makes it a perfect movie.

Summary: Buy it, see it, enjoy it, think about it.
Review: When I first saw The Matrix I didn't understand much of it. OK I thought, good action, breathtaking effects and nicely coreographed fighting-scenes, I assumed that was the whole point; the looks. Then I watched it again and realized that there was a deeper message beneath the surface, a message that can't be fully understood without experiencing it yourself. I've seen it more times than I can count and everytime I watch it something new appears. The Wachowski brothers have obviously put a lot of work into this one. The Matrix is that kind of movie that can make everyone satisfied as it has so much to offer; Action, Sci/Fi, martial arts, filosophy among other things, the combination is brilliant! When seeing other movies I've almost always had something to complain about, too much talking, too much fighting, no message and so on, but when it comes to The Matrix I can't complain. Simply put, this is the best film I've ever seen and it will probably stay in that position for years. You might be confused watching it the first time but I can assure you that you will watch it over and over again. Don't miss the opportunity to see a real masterpiece!

Summary: buy this DVD if you have even the slightest interest in MATR
Review: when i first saw the Matrix i fell asleep after the first half hour, though admittidely(?) i had had no sleep the night before. so i left the theatre thinking the last half hour was good but what was all that stuff at the start about, i usually get stuff like that i am a preety big film buff guy, but seeing as i missed almost 30 mins, i felt i needed to give the film another chance and find out what my friends were going on about. here in the UK the film only left theatres a couple of months ago, so i was priviledged to get the Matrix months before it will come out to rent here, and boy was i priviledged. why pay $25 for a film i didn't really get, well simply because of the amazing extras, they utilise DVD and remind me why i got exited about DVD in the first place - multiple angles, commentary, behind the scenes, essays, interactive features, soundtrack, and in my opinion the best part - screenplay and storyboards - this is so cool, to see the original ideas and how in many cases it turned out how the directors saw it, usually with big action films many of the ideas on paper aren't able make it to the screen, but with this it's different, it gives you a new respect for the scenes in the film. by the way the second time i watched it i totally got it, and watched it again a couple of hours later, which is rare for me. If you only have just the slightest interest in this film and you have DVD-ROM then buy the DVD, it's worth it.

Summary: Marvelous: Descartes¿ Action Thriller
Review: When I first saw the Matrix in the theatres I was immediately taken with the central proposition which looked oddly like one of the options in Descartes' Discourse on Method. What if, and how would we know, we are indeed in a sleep/dream world, manipulated by an external controlling force? How would we know if we were awake or still asleep? Neo sleeps and his brain hints at this possibility. Slowly he is tracked by those from the true world, while agents of the external controlling force also monitor him in an effort to capture the others. Neo is eventually awakened into the 'real world' and the Matrix takes off on it's epic ride of slow motion Kung Fu mayhem and beautifully choreographed gunfights. This combination of cerebral back story and excessive destruction made this movie a hit across all strata of viewing demographics. Everytime I watch it now on DVD there is some new bit to marvel at, either in subtle movements of foreshadowing, the amazing fight scenes, or even the pace and placement of music. I enjoyed it then, and now, it's highly recommended. I also enjoyed the sequel but will get to that when it's released on DVD in a few weeks, and like many others I look forward to the completion of the trilogy in a month.
