Summary: Oh boy...........
Review: Know when to quit. That's all there is to it. It's over. This is garbage. Once again a great series is ruined by bad sequels. The first two were great, but now it's over. This movie is terrible. The acting, the story.....it's just plain awful.However, I gave this movie two stars because despite how awful this movie is, it looked great and sounded great. It also did have cool special effects, and yeah, there were some scary parts. Still, that does not take away the fact that this movie is terrible. Just stick to one and two. THOSE are great movies.

Summary: BLENDER GENDER......
Review: BRILLIANT vision by Jean-Pierre Jeunet ['almost' but fortunately not distorted by the ever-present 'suits']. This one's a non-stop ride in the driver's seat - except there's no steering wheel - YOU are at the mercy of this magnificent machine. Possibly Sigourney Weaver's best incarnation as Ripley [odd thing though - she 'births' the Queen - Right? Then the Queen gives birth to ... well, if you don't know - you have to see Mama's Boy in full fury!] WINONA RYDER is equally excellent as 'little girl lost' on this ship - beautiful moments between Ms. Weaver and Ms. Ryder not forgetting the almost surreal Ron Perlman as Macho Man and GI Joe incarnate - also Dominique Pinon. The effects are - well, quite unusual - especially the lab sequences governed by Brad Dourif - another stellar imprint. The DVD? Do warn the neighbors about this one - or better still invite them over. The sound quality is beyond superior - your dwelling will move [a block or two] as this must be experienced with all the bells and whistles. BRAVO Fox for this edition.

Review: when i rented this movie i expected to [wet] my pants from terror. i expected to watch a freakin horror movie! instead i almost fell asleep from this [bad] hollywood action. this movie is such an insult to all the other alien movies...
buy this if you are an action-freak and care about no horror.

Summary: Don't even bother with the bad critics.
Review: Once again a new horror movie is out, and once again you'll find hundreds upon hundreds of critics saying the same unfathomably stupid thing: "it requires a great stretch of the imagination". WTF? This is a movie, you're looking at an image on a screen of people reding off lines that were given to them while computer generated creations chase them around. Of course it requires a stretch of the imagination, you fools, it's NOT REAL. Anyway, as for the movie itself, I thought it was quite good and a big improvemnt over the highly dissapointing Alien 3. The plot is that Riply has been cloned, 200 years after she dies, in a plan to resurrect the alien species for miltary study. Of course all hell breaks loose when the aliens break out of their holding cells with a nice crew of hardass criminals to chase around. The acting is fine and the set is awesome in a dark, Nine Inch Nails video sort of way, but what I liked most was how the film really put the spotlight on the aliens. Here we're shown their true intelligence, particularly in their initial escape from their captures, and also treated to an impressive display of hydrodynamic grace. The queen alien is here too, but only briefly, due to the fact she is turned on by the grotesque hybrid Riply-alien, quite a disgusting looking monster. The new addition is all fine and good but I would have rather seen the queen in action, walking around and opening a can of whoop-a in all her new CGI glory. Basically, amazing CGI affects on our extraterresrial friends and a sleek new look, a clever story, and cool comic book inspired action make for a darn good sci-fi thriller and a nice addition to the alien series.

Review: From the disc's main menu go to the 'Extra Features' section where you will find an entry called 'Trailers'. As you'd expect, it will bring up trailers to all four Alien movies. Although not an explicitely hidden feature, many were excited to find these trailers on the disc.

Summary: Good ideas but a disgrace
Review: As a great fan of the truly awesome Alien series, I was highly disappointed by the 4th installment. There are some good ideas, like the idea of cloning Ripley (first off, how is this possible when she is melted in molten metal in Alien3) as a way to bring back the Alien race to study them for science. That's the only real good idea of this movie, because from that point on it gets really stupid.
Sigourney Weaver's acting seems incrediably forced (it was rumored she wanted no part in the 4th installment but was persuaded by a large sum of money-10+ million) as does all the rest of the acting. Character development is poor and the range of characters is weird. If its its own movie its okay, but compared to the other Alien movies its a waste of time and money.This is sad because the director is really talented (CITY OF LOST CHILDREN, AMELIE, DELICATESSUN) and so are most of the actors. So I suggest watching the first three, and if you're interested, watch the 4th...

Summary: RESURRECTED!!
Review: THE ALIEN SERIES IS TRULY RESURRECTED WITH THIS 4th INSTALLMENT. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY SO MANY PEOPLE WERE DISAPPONTED WITH IT? YES ALOT OF PEOPLE WERE SATISFIED AS WELL, BUT I THINK THIS STANDS UP TO ALIENS. ALIEN RESURRECTION IS A REAL SCI-FI KNOCKOUT THAT SHOULDN'T BE MISSED. INSTEAD OF WRITTING ANYTHING MORE ON THE FILM, I'LL JUST REFER YOU TO THE REVIEW TITLED (BLENDER GENDER written JULY 6, 2002). IT HITS THE NAIL RIGHT ON THE HEAD.

Summary: Good but very gross.
Review: First the good
In this Chapter of the Alien Saga Ripley has been cloned (along with the queen) from blood samples found on Fiorina 161. She survives the surgery to remove the queen but in the process of the cloning her genetics have been crossed along with the aliens. Now a group of smugglers bring in a human cargo to be impregnated. Call (Ryder) is sent to Kill Ripley before the queen can come out, but she is too late. The rest of the movie contains the typical Aliens terrorizing the group of smugglers. It is a Good movie .It has excellent graphics and I think Ryder does a good acting job.
Now the bad
In Alien Resurrection the gore goes way over the limit. And cursing is almost in every sentence. For this reason I do tend to watch the other alien movies more. The scientists are a little too unreal in acting. Now for the worst part of all there is a new creature that is half human and half Alien and this thing is DEMONIC looking. This thing has slime covered pale skin, human skull, no tail, a taste for blood and a whole lot more that is indescribably grotesque.
Alien Resurrection is good but I recommend that you make sure the little ones are nowhere near the TV when these Nightmarish creatures are on.

Summary: This Was From The Director Of Ameile?!
Review: Yuck. This is the worse of the Alien series. And it is from the director of one of the best films ever made, Ameile From Montmarte. It is cheaply done, filled with B-Movie lines. Those lines can wreck the movie like it did to the second Mortal Kombat. If you are a perfectionist, get this. But if you don't want to watch a movie, don't get this.

Summary: A Semi-return to form
Review: After the disappointing third installment of the "Alien" franchise, many (myself included) felt that the series had no more stories to be told. Fortunately, Weaver (co-producer of this film) and company had a few surprises left for moviegoers. Having the story take place in a more distant future, it allowed for the "reincarnation" of one of filmdom's most dynamic heroines: Ellen Ripley. Weaver, who really understands the character, is able to bring a new persona in the Ripley clone while maintaining the strength of the woman that is so familiar to fans of the films. Basically this one reworks much of the original as each of the crewmembers is systematically eliminated. The addition of the Ripley's "offspring" is frighteningly tragic. A highlight is Ripley offering motherly consolation as she prepares to do what is necessary to save the remaining crewmembers as well as she. The cast is great, with Weaver, Ryder, and Perlman standouts in their respective roles. The movie's ending does set the stage for the fifth, and probably, last installment. And I, like most, will be standing in line for an admission!
