Summary: James Cameron's Archetypal Expression of Motherhood
Review: Cameron is, I am sure, gleeful that his original vision of a film in which the archetypal Good Mother is set directly against the archetypal Bad Mother. he's not the only one. With the additional footage revealing Ripley's lost daughter, we see the need in Ripley for her to renew her motherhood, and Newt fits the bill. I believe this is the best of the four movies, with the first being almost as good if quite different, and the third being a disaster. the fourth was interesting (how about THAT for a bad word?). The camera work, lighting, and acting all blend in the mixer of Cameron's brain to produce one of the best SF films of all time.

Summary: Best film + nice add-ons
Review: The first 2 "Alien" movies have always been some of my all time favorites, but the DVD version made them top of the list. Excelent sound and image, great additional information and a very nice animated menu the access all these features. The 14 additional minutes in Aliens might make the movies a bit slower, but espacially Alien fans will appreciate it, because they add a lot to the plot of the movie.

Summary: A SHOULD BUY for everyone, a MUST BUY for every fan of the genre, a SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT A LONG TIME AGO for every fan of Alien(s).

Summary: THE BEST MOVIE I HAVE EVER SEEN
Review: What more could you possibly ask for? Great acting, plot, direction, some of the absolute best special affects I have ever seen, some scares, even the music is perfect. I would give ALIENS 100 stars if I could. It has some of the greatest, most intense and graphic scenes in movie history. ALIENS is definitly a classic. Whether you like science-fiction, horror, military, suspense, or whatever, you will probably love this movie.

Summary: Fantastic movie but slowed down by added scenes
Review: First off, let me say that Aliens is on my Top 10 list for all time favorite movies. At one point in time I could recite the entire movie line for line. I have to admit though that I was a bit disappointed by the new DVD version. I love all the extra behind the scenes features. I love how they added a voice-over by Lt.Gorman on the intro. The added 17 minutes though, in my opinion, was excessive. Some of it just seemed to slow down the movie. I was happy to see them add the scenes regarding Ripley's daughter and the shots between Newt & Ripley when they're discussing where babies come from. Those should have never been left out of the original because they help establish the relationship between the two.
Sometimes, less is more.

Summary: One Of The Best Sequels Out There.
Review: In this stunning sequel to "Alien", Lt. Ripley is unfrozen after a 57 year sleep. An army force wants her to help them hunt down all the aliens on a planet called "LV-426". This is the first movie in the "Alien" series that we see the queen who is creating all the aliens. This movie was directed by James Cameron who also directed "The Terminator" and,"Titanic".

Summary: "Alien" goes action
Review: "Aliens" is a fantastic action movie. Cameron knows how to do action movies and this one only worked to build up his now well known reputation. The extra scene add so much to this movie. The DVD has let me enjoy "Aliens" again. A must have for any Sci-Fi/Action fans.

Summary: One hell of a good flick!!
Review: This movie is absolutely the best humans vs. aliens (or any creature for that matter), film of all time!! Isn't it interesting that James Cameron, the director of Aliens, wasn't recognized by the awards academy as a genius until he made Titanic???!!! Let's just list some of the cool films he's done, shall we? Terminator 1, Terminator 2, True Lies, The Abyss...nuff said. Rent or Buy anything by this guy, and as for Aliens, it is definitely one of his best!

Summary: Such an added bonus
Review: The movie, which was already a great one, gets even better with the addition of this footage. I wish more of the Aliens series had this type of surprise.
