Summary: highlander endgame ---- a god film
Review: this is the best highlaneder film sinch the original and if you even saw the film when an immortal stops fighting they are no longer in the game so hence they lose by default so that explains that and i think it was just lovely a lovely film! 5 stars

Summary: Definitely the 3rd best Highlander Movie
Review: Let me begin by admitting I was never a fan of the TV series. Having watched just enough episodes to know and recognize the people from the series. Now don't get me wrong, this is definitely better then Highlander II. But I suspect us Christopher Lambert fans will be very disappointed and may begin to plead with their TV like I did. I think they took Connors personal suffering to new levels that diminished him in my eyes. Also if one of Connor's fellow highlanders was also an immortal then it is odd that Sean Connory's character didn't mention this. Also reasons apparent in the script this has to take place after both previous Highlander movies (I count Highlander II as more of a bad dream sequence) . So this in mind there are apparently a lot of immortals that missed the gathering. And Connor being awarded the prize for being the last immortal has to be disregarded twice. The storyline should keep loyalists from the earlier movies trying to figure out whether the writers watched any of the earlier movies. On a plus side is some pretty good sword fighting sequences. I enjoyed a seeing more of Connor and his first love even if I regretted seeing him be a basket case later because of it. And the guy from the series that limps (sorry I don't recall his name) was a definite plus to the movie. I do recommend all Highlander fans take time to see it and I will get it myself someday just to complete my collection. Hope you enjoy it better than I did.

Summary: The Worst Highlander ever !!!!!!!!
Review: I have never felt the need to review anything but this movie was a disgrace. I loved Highlander 1 and like the directors cut of Highlander 2 and Highlander 3 was ok. I always liked highlander the series. But this movie Highlander 4 Endgame was horrible. First they Killed Connor McLeod who the hell thought of that did they forget that he was the last and that he won the prize, that alone ruined this move for me. Two they have a flash back where Duncan McLeod kills the women he love just to make her immortal that is something I could never see his character doing. Also they don't follow the rules in this movie having a bunch of immortals attack Duncan. And getting back to killing off Connor McLeod they have none other than Duncan kill him using some move that Connor setup so that if he didn't kill him Duncan him self would be killed by Connor. Connor would never force his friend in to this position and if he did I believe Duncan would rather die then kill his friend because that's the way their characters have been written. This was a disgrace to this franchise and its best if people act like this move didn't even exist. The only reason a gave this movie a star is becuse if u dont give it at least one star they wont post your review.

Summary: No constancy in the movies
Review: 1st movie Connor Macleoud becomes the last immortal 2nd movie really pushes the story line, but if you ignore little details it follows 3rd follows the original polt this movie Connor Macleoud gets killed by another immortal which goes beyond the whole consistencies of the movie

I know the time line and the tv show has problem with timelines but the general storylines still follows.

Also the great special affects in the commercials are not in the movie

Summary: A Little Dissapointing
Review: I, myself, have been a avid Highlander fan for quite some time. I love the first and second one...the third a little less. Endgame seems to land somewhere in between them. The movie tells the tale of the two main Highlanders, Duncan and Connor Macleoud. In this one a source of immense evil has come for their heads and they must stop it at all costs. The movie flip flops back and forth at times. Going through the two of their lives from early Scotland to Germany during the war. As a fan, I want to say I was let down. I love Christopher Lambert and Adrian Paul does a decent job during the film. The one thing that saves it were the greatly planned out sword fighting sequences. But still, I felt like I was watching an elongated episode of Highlander on USA. Check it out if you're in the mood for some action.

Summary: Just Like the Tv show
Review: Look, most people that saw this movie were critics that dubbed the original Highlander movie "the worst movie of 1986." But even non-Highlander fans loved the original movie. You do not trust a critic with a Highlander film. What most people dont understand is that Highlander 1 and 3 were the only two films that truly connected. They both ended with Conner Macleod being the last immortal. If you watch Highlander 2, dont try to compare it to the other films. The series is based on a totally different character named Duncan Macleod and has Conner Macleod in it also. But it is a separate story! People keep trying to connect all of the films and the series together. It does not work that way. Keeping that in mined, Highlander Endgame is like a 2 parter of the series. It shows just how good Adrian Paul and Christoper Lambert are as actors. This movie made me extreamly sad when i walked out of the theater. But i felt satisfied. The world of immortals is not a happy one. Highlander Endgame does not have a happy ending. But it is still a good ending that makes it worth watching. Word of the wise, if you have never seen The original Highlander, watch it before you watch this movie. It wouldent hurt to watch some of the series also. The best Highlander movie is the original one. But this movie is still worth watching. Enjoy the movie and watch it with an open mind.

Summary: IF ITS AKIND OF MAGIC WHERE IS THE MAGIC?
Review: I have seen the screener for the release of this new cut and was impressed to see that they combined the workprint which has been available on ebay from singapore and the theatrical version although there are still no scenes that were in the trailer of the bad guy kell having magic. I also noticed no director's commentary only the producers and wonder if we will see a director's cut later on as with dvd lately they put out one version and when they have sold all those they re release in a special edition director's cut. I was told by someone who worked on the movie say the version that was released was not the version thy saw. They saw a version with magic and a gate to ziest ie highlander 2. Well maybe we will see it on the 10th aniversary of HIGHLANDER ENDGAME THE DIRECTOR'S CUT. Until then this is still a step up fron the theatrical release.

Summary: Tough one.
Review: I was a HUGE fan of the original movie. It was nearly perfect. The 2nd movie was absolutely terrible. The 3rd was acceptable as it ignored all elements of the 2nd. The series was good, but just not the original.

This movie tied them together with a strong leaning toward the series. I saw it in the theatre and my first impression was disappointment as a fan of the original movie. But, I would like to see it again to be sure.

Summary: Avoid this movie at all costs...
Review: It would be easy to trash this movie as a non-fan of the series. One could speak about the paper thin plot, the cheesy dialogue, or the less-than-special effects. However, I am a fan of the movies (1 & 3), and a bigger fan of the television series with Adrian Paul (owning Seasons 1-5 on VHS). So, although I will still trash this film, let me do so from a fan's point of view.

To me, this was a terrible "ending" to the show. The scenes between Connor and Duncan seemed horribly forced, and the chemistry between the two almost non-existant. The storyline with the Watchers was ridiculous, and even as a fan, you had to really suspend your disbelief to swallow the enourmously large pill the script presented.

The worst part was this: an action movie, regardless of anything else, is only as good as the villian the heroes must defeat. And the villian in this movie was less than stellar. He was so over the top and corny, I found myself laughing with pity instead of shivering with fear.

Do yourself a favor and watch two episodes of the TV show. I guarantee you that you will enjoy yourself more, as 90% of the shows were head and shoulders above this tripe. If you do see it, prepare yourself for the worst, and perhaps you'll be presently surprised.

I sincerely doubt it.

Summary: Here's how it should have been.Highlander 1,series,endgame.
Review: A friend of mine [got] the director's cut and I must admit it really rocks,it all makes more sense than in the theatrical run.Must people didn't like it because they turned the hero from the movies before this one into a darker and whiny Connor, and that he had less screen time.Well let me tell you that they turned Connor this way so he could be like a dark Ramirez, and this sequel is like an episode that continues the series last episode,Duncan thinking about his close ones,so it's obvious why Adrian Paul is the principal here, but when Lambert appears he steals the show, basically why I try to say is,get the director's cut,sit back and enjoy.
