Review: I absolutely adored this movie. It's wonderful all around, acting, effects, musical score etc etc. Honestly, I think the person who gave it one star and said the acting was terrible was just giving it a bad review for the sake of a bad review. It really was an incredible movie. And I know bad acting when I see it.Even if you don't care for the story itself, you've got to admit that it's just an amazingly beautiful movie. It takes you into a completely different world.

Review: I absolutely fell in love with the lord of the rings, I've been looking for a wonderfully well made movie and i have finally found one! The story follows close to the book. Thanks to this movie i was able see every thing visually,And it had far exceeded my expectations from when i had read the book. The Beautifully made sound track fit perfectly with the atmospheric of the movie.

Summary: Why was this on cable?
Review: I absolutely love this dvd and i would have recommended it to anyone. But wasn't this extended edition out because it contained scenes that were not shown in theatres and this was the only way we would see them, and this is how fans would be able to see it, by buying this SPECIAL Extended DVD Edition. So why was this shown on the Starz channel. It was surprising to see that on and i must say a little disappointing. I mean we bought it because it was SPECIAL, not the ordinary movie on dvd. Well, that is just my view and the view of my friends who bought it from Amazon.com Otherwise, it's very enjoyable and it's suitable for anyone with an imagination.

Summary: Beautiful!
Review: I absolutely loved "Lord of the Rings"! The first time I saw it, I had a hard time following some of the story, and the significance of some of the relationships. Visually, the film was so gorgeous and unusual that I think it might have just been too overwhelming to all take in at once. My difficulty following the characters might be because I never read the trilogy when I was growing up. Perhaps I had a strange childhood. When I was growing up, "The Lord of the Rings" books always seemed to be checked out by the guys in my school whose glasses were held together with tape, and who carried pencils in pocket protectors. I had read "The Hobbit" in a grade-school English class, but then discovered other genres, and didn't continue reading much fantasy. I thought the movie was well-paced, with some peaceful moments among the elves that allowed the audience to catch its collective breath. Even the second time around, I was on pins and needles as the Fellowship faced down its menacing enemies.

Review: I absolutely loved the movie! I also absolutley love Elijah Wood!
I would definately buy this film! The visual effects were spectacular! The film was action packed and very exciting! The movie had it's humor too! The characters were really good at their parts. The movie was so good I felt as if I was there with them through the whole thing! There were surprises in the movie too. I cant wait to see Elijah Wood in the continuation of the movie hopefully coming next year!

Summary: Lovin' FOTR!
Review: I absolutely loved this DVD set!!! It had special never-before-seen footage that enhanced the storyline even more, tons of special features that took you behind the scenes, and had wonderful artwork on the case and on the menus! I happen to be a huge fan of the LOTR series so I happily endure the countless hours of it! You might not be able to watch everything in one sitting though. This is a DVD that belongs in your collection!

Summary: Caught my imagination off guard!
Review: I absolutely loved this movie! It was beautiful to the last detail. There were only two things that were missed that I would have liked to see: The scene where Galadriel gives the gifts to the Fellowship (the cloaks and pins are shown, but we never know how they got them. it does show the flask of light for Frodo, but that's all. I felt this scene was important and shouldn't have been cut. From what I can tell, it was shot, and then cut afterwards. Probably dealing with the length of the film.) The other scene was the one with Tom Bombadil... this was one of my favorite parts of the book and I was sad to see it wasn't included!
Other than that, the movie was wonderful. I sat on the edge of my seat with my fists clenched tight the entire time, even though I knew how it would end. The funniest was the part where Bilbo wants the ring back and he bars his teeth at Frodo... the entire movie theatre gasped and some even screamed! it was wonderful to see the reaction. I thought the Dark Riders were Soooooo scary. Much scarier than even my most vivid imaginings! In short, it was wonderful, and I will buy it for sure!

Summary: The best film I have seen yet!
Review: I absolutely loved this movie. The cast made it the movie even better. Elijah Wood was sooo good at playing Frodo. I don't really care about the length of the movie because I expect the other two to be just as long, but it kept my attention throughout the entire thing that I didn't even notice that three hours had gone by. I enjoyed it more the second time after I read The Hobbit and the LOTR series. I've noticed is that you have to read The Hobbit in order to understand the origin of certain things, like the mithril coat, a little better. All in all I can't wait for the next two.

Review: I absolutly love the books and love the movie(s). I say the movie before i read the books but the books are still better. I am a big Elijah Wood fan so it was great to see him in such a large movie production. The movie did leave out many things that I would have liked to see but then LotR: The fellowship of the Ring would be around 6 hours. I can not wait a whole 10 months for the next movie. I am so glad that these wonderful books were put into movie form or I might have never read them. They are a great experience for all readers. If you enjoy Harry Potter or any fantasy books, you will LOVE Lord of the Rings. "Never judge a book by it's movie."-- Me I LOVE ELIJAH WOOD!

Summary: Lord of the Rings is even better!!!
Review: I absoulotely love this set!!! The extended version is much more better than the regular theatrical version! You care about the characters more because the movie gets much more involved with them. I love the new scene where Sam and Frodo watch the Elves leave and where Galadriel gives the gifts to all of the characters, unlike the theatrical cut which only shows Frodo's gift giving scene. The battles are now much more intense especially at Balin's Tomb and the end battle sequence. We also see a new battle where Isildur hides using the ring from the people who are trying to retrieve it. The extras are SO GOOD. They are not just boring little extras but interesting features that takes you through the making of this great film! I highly recommend this set. It is the best special edition dvd ever made!!!!
