Review: This is an excellent movie about Godzilla and the origins of Megaguirus. My brother and I enjoyed it very much. My brother is a Godzilla fan and loved the cotume of Godzilla and Megaguirus. I think all Godzilla fans should see it!

Summary: one of my favorites!
Review: This is a great Godzilla movie! And it's one of my favorites because it's got plenty of Godzilla, it's fun, and it never bores me! That's right, there's plenty of Godzilla...well, enough to keep me from wondering what happened to him. Aside from the Big G, there's also Meganulla and Megaguirus - and they also get plenty of screentime. And let me just say that Godzilla is hilarious in this movie! Sure, he's destructive, and still looks mean, but he does indeed do some bizarre things when he's fighting Megaguirus. All in all, the Monster Scenes in the movie deliver. And it's all spread out in good doses, unlike other Godzilla movies where there are noticable lapses in Monster Action. And when there's no Monster Action, the Human Scenes keep us entertained. They're fun and they're campy - just the way they should be in a Godzilla movie. As for the characters, there doesn't appear to be any memorable characters, but that doesn't stop this movie from delivering memorable lines! MEMORABLE DIALOGUE #1

After Kudo tries desperately to contact Fujimori on the radio, she finally replies:
FUJIMORI - "Why do you want to talk to me so badly? You gotta crush on me or something?" Make no mistake: this movie's great! Both the Human Scenes and the Monster Scenes are great fun. And you see plenty of Godzilla in this movie. One of my favorites!

Summary: Godzilla x Megaguiras: Not the best, but still entertaining.
Review: I have to say that Godzilla x Megaguiras is a guilty pleasure of mine. No, it's not as thematically profound as GMK, and this movie is not for everybody's taste. It is very entertaining in a tongue and cheek way. But it still has this nostalgic Showa style appeal to me. As I had stated in my comment on GMK, I am a rabid Goji fan going back to the 70's. So I am well acquainted with a more light hearted representation of Godzilla. It becomes very obvious that the director of this movie made it as an homage to the goofiness of the Showa series of movies, especially when witnessing the climactic battle between the two principle monsters. I giggle in delight whenever I see Godzilla doing that flying body splash onto Megaguiras. As far as the human element, there is Kiriko Tsujimori out to avenge the death of her beloved commanding officer at the hands of Godzilla and a device that creates mini-black holes to trap Godzilla in. But that's not the most significant thing in the movie. There is most importantly *wispy voice* Kudo, who greatly increases the appeal of this movie for me. I like to think of him as the Japanese Johnny Depp. But enough of this pseudo-pubescent lovestruck type stuff. If you loved the Showa films' goofiness and you can suspend your disbelief, watch this movie. You could do worse, like say, Godzilla vs. Megalon.

Summary: Eh . . . . Only So-so.
Review: I used to be obsessed with Godzilla. I mean, the Big G was my life! Then for about five or six years, I grew out of it, and all I had was memories. Well, now I'm going through those teenage blues, and I didn't know what to do. It turns out, that all I needed was . . . . . GODZILLA!!! It all the sudden hit me recently: I was born a Godzilla-phile, and I'll die a Godzilla-phile. The King of the Monster's roar is in my very spirit. I may sound melodramatic, but true Godzilla fans will know what I mean. To celebrate my return to the world of Godzilla, I decided to go rent some of these newer ones. The first one I saw was GODZILLA VS. MEGAGUIRUS, and let me tell you, it wasn't the best way to start this triumphant return. This movie starts out alright, and I especially liked how they integrated the new Godzilla into footage from the original film to make the transition seem flawless. After all, this is yet another reimagining of the Godzilla saga, where all those other 22 films don't matter. Well, for starters, if it's a direct sequel, why didn't they even attempt to explain how the Oxygen Destroyer didn't kill Godzilla? This was the first problem of many to come. Like I said, the movie is good for a while, but declines after the actual revealing of Meganuron. The design is pretty shoddy, and the special effects are absolutely horrible. The CGI looks like stuff my friend does on his laptop. The entire creature doesn't fit into the Godzilla universe. And once the actual Megaguirus came around in all its non-CGI glory, I could totally see the strings!!!! That's the first time that has happened in any Godzilla movie. The final fight scene is very poorly done, with bad camera "tricks" that resemble stuff out of a TV movie, and unworthy of the Godzilla name. I had hoped they would change the suit since the last film, GODZILLA 2000. Unfortunately, they didn't, and it's even more badly displayed in this one. I mean, the design is pretty cool I guess, if not really like traditional Godzilla, but my main problem is with the head. It's totally emotionless, with non-moving glass eyes, a mouth that goes way too far back, and an expression resembling Kermit the Frog with a hangover. Godzilla has been reduced to a souless lizard (far from his powerful presence of the Heisei series or his heroic grandeur of the Showa series). Actually, the human story was pretty good this time, and the acting was decent. Alas, they spend too much time on it, and not enough time on adding some personality to the King of the Monsters. Add this to some horrible FX and a terrible, non-Godzilla musical score, and you have one sorry excuse for a Godzilla movie. Am I being too harsh? Perhaps. But the fact remains that it's not very well-done. I can only pray the the next films in the series are an improvement. And even if they aren't, I still have the old Godzilla we know and love to keep me company! (P.S. You have to wait until the very end of the credits, or the film's ending will leave you pissed off.)

Summary: Still Mean, Still Green
Review: As it would be, I have returned to my youth, and found new excitement in some of my old fav's. One of them being the line of Godzilla movies that I was basically raised on (Star Trek, Speed Racer & Batman, being the other). Really, my youth was good.
However, my youth aside, I've always loved GODZILLA, no matter who he was laying the smackdown on. And if you enjoy the old Rubber suits banging away at everything that threatens Good ol' mother earth & humanity, then you'll love G vs Megaguirus. I do. and what's more, if you are a true G fan, or G-Force, G-Watch, or G-Whatever at heart, then you'll lament for the Old Big Green Guys (both B&W, and the 90's ver) and offer praise up to Junior.
If I have it right, this Godzilla is none other than Minya, or Godzilla jr., all grown up! Look at the spines - they are purple trimmed as opposed to Daddy's white trim, and his fire is gold, sometimes neon red or green, as opposed to Daddy G's blue or green.
That's right G-fans, today's Godzilla is GODZILLA Jr. And if you watch this video you won't be disappointed with either the quality or the story. Both were done with excellence with little human error on behalf of the monsters (some of the wires weren't removed in editing, but hey they are worth a laugh when you see them. And they happen to be seen during a fight seen which takes your attention away from them anyway). I found my family and myself cheering on Jr. as he relentlessy beat the stuffing out of MegaG with style and finese. Sometimes he reverted to his fathers way of banging, but the little guy has a mind of his own, and uses it well.
I'm not going to spoil this movie by saying any more. Except watch & enjoy. And oh yeah, Amazon.com delivered on their promise of quality & satisfaction. Now I just have to purchase some more Godzilla to complete the collection. Gammera too.

Summary: A Homage to the 70s Godzilla flicks!
Review: That's right. This movie is homage to the Godzilla movies of the 1970s. Which means you have some goofy human drama as well as goofy monster drama. The movie does succeed in that since though. But the downfall of this movie is how the story was told. It just does not seem like the story was told very well.
But the monster action is well done. But there is a bad scene where wires can be seen from Megaguirus. You'll know when you've seen the scene.
Overall, the movie is entertaing, but the story just seems like it's missing something.

Summary: OOPS, Godzilla needs another make-over.
Review: A weak entry, in my opinion, so weak that I almost changed my mind on the American Godzilla (ok, not that bad). Very clunky FX and terrible story combined for a pathetic Godzilla movie. However; redemption can be found in "Godzilla, Mothra & King Ghidora - Giant Monsters All-Out Attack" an unfortunate title, but a superior movie to this one. Do yourself a favour and check that one out and skip this one.

Summary: One of big G's Finest
Review: This is one of Godzilla's best of the new series well not really new series but us "G-Fans" call it that. My personal fav of the millenium series. In it Godzilla battles super dragonfly Megaguirus which looks like Battra(see Godzilla and Mothra:Battle for earth) and the "queen" of meganuron which appears in the original Rodan. Great SPFX not as good as GMK but fast paced story and great looking monsters. A+++ for audio and video for thos with the setup.

Summary: Monsters On The Loose, But Not For A Long Time
Review: I just got this movie for a Valentines day gift and I have to say as a Si-Fi, special effects, action, and movie expert that this film isn't all that bad for the regular kaiju special effects. The movie itself is good but has some of the same flaws as the first of the unfinished Millenium series, Godzilla 2000.
1. It's good to have a touch on the characters, but it has too much for a kaiju film.
2. They give you hints on what's going on but is better when told(because you might have it wrong).
Overall this film is exquisite but in the great realm of Goji, it needs more monsters.

Review: Short and sweet- this is a GREAT Godzilla movie! Action, monster fights, nice effects.....but the dubbing is AWFUL! Worse than ever! It seems they got only two or three people to dub EVERY voice in the film! Oh, and by the way- it's pronounced GodzillA...not GodzillER!!!!I hereby VOLUNTEER my services to TOHO Films for the dubbing of future Godzilla films! Seriously!!!!!!
