Summary: Dissapointing....
Review: Here are all the points that make this movie bad and dissapointing. 1. We see in the second film Neo stopping the machines with his own hand giving us a clue that something strange is going on to be seen in the third film. But no there is no surprise, no logical explanation as to why the heck Neo is Superman both in the matrix and in the real world. I don't understand why this happened. The validity of the whole movie is ruined by not justifying Neo's extraordinary powers in the real world. The truce with the machines was a logical finalle. But how we reached to the finalle I really don't know.
2. Trinity really dies in vain and it seems more like black humor to me than a logical flow of the story. (Damn it!!! It's like Lois of Superman being hit by a car and die in the third movie!!! (laughs)) 3. After all the dialogues that the Z brothers wrote in the movies they surelly must have run out of ideas and imagination. And they certainly don't know how to talk to their loved ones at a tragical dying moment! How else can I explain the ludicrous dialogue between Neo and Trin when she dies. Luck of emotion? Creativity? They could steal the lines of a cliche movie and still make their point but they decided to ruin the moment with shallow and "cold" lines. 4. There are more points in the film that are not explained with logic (How the hell did Smith reach to the real world???????????) and if you add them up you are left with the bitter end that you where taken for a full and the marketing guys did their job well, when It should be the Z brothers who should make their job well and pay some respect to their own creation.

Summary: Dis-a-FREAKING-pointing.
Review: I must first say that I really enjoyed the first two movies of this series. A lot of my friends did not like the second installment (Matrix: Reloaded) but I gave it a chance and I really liked it. The same was said to me about the this film, and again I gave it a chance.
I cannot begin to tell you of my disappointment. This film lacked the in-depth details that the first two had. There was lousy dialogue (bad enough to remind me of Star Wars) and even worse acting.
The only positive was the special effects, which were again quite incredible. But you cannot make a movie on special effects alone (again see the new Star Wars films) and expect it to be great.
And finally the ending was a huge disappointment. Don't get me wrong, I like being suprised. I welcome any new ideas and conceptions from the film-making industry. Considering that everything has been so played out anymore, its to the point where the public has "seen it all". But the ending has to be a quality work, not just an ending with new innovations in special effects. In other words "don't dazzle me with a light show, when I want to see something interesting."

Summary: Matrix aka Cyber Christ
Review: I should be kicking myself for listening to the critics of this film and not seeing it in the theater. After watching the DVD I was astounded by the action in it. I love the machinery warfare in the battle of Zion. You don't need hours of acrobatic CGI stunts to fill the matrix after the first 2 films you get tired with it. I enjoyed seeing mechs blasting robotic sentries. As for the end of Neo it had to come. If anyone was following the spiritual philosophies of this series they would understand it's parallel to Christ as in sacrificing himself for the fate of mankind. It was a known path and Neo knew he would be the balance to the equation. He was the chosen one. I thought it was a good plot by the Wachowski brothers. Sure some people didn't like the ending because they couldn't understand why Neo died or nullified himself. Others probably caught on to the spiritual philosophy but thought it was a blasphemy. I for once enjoyed it. I'm getting the entire Trilogy now.

Summary: The worst ending possible!
Review: I was really looking forward to the movie. It turned in nothing, but trash. It didn't answer any of the questions raised in the previous movies. The main characters are non-existant. Neo is powerless. So, unlike the first two movies. The Matrix could've been a Truly Great Series. But, the ending falls flat on it's face. To me, it was very depressing.

Summary: Next Chapter . . . Matrix Resurrection?
Review: And so, "The Matrix Revolutions" brings the trilogy to a close (or does it? See the title above). For those who are passionate about the first movie--and there are many, judging from the reviews posted--"Reloaded" and "Revolutions" managed to align you in one of the following two camps: 1. You bought into the pop philosophy that is "The Matrix", reveled in the "more questions asked than answered" mentality of "Reloaded", and rejoiced in the religious allegory of "Revolutions". --or-- 2. "The Matrix" created this incredible alternative reality but, "huh?, what happened?". Please allow me to set up my camp somewhere in between. First, I was totally entertained by "Revolutions". Good pacing, incredible action, jaw-dropping CGI effects (although I am feeling "bullet-timed" to death lately). Did it, however, wrap everything up in a nice tidy bundle and explain what the hell actually happened? Not really ... but I don't think that's a bad thing. *****SPOILER ALERT (oh hell, you've all seen the movie--why do I bother?)***** The Wachowskis finished the Matrix trilogy in the same manner they started it, by making us question our perceptions of reality (or, at least, the Matrix reality anyway). Did Neo die? Was he working for the machines or against them? Was the Oracle really his ally? Did he destroy Agent Smith, or did Smith self-destruct when there was nothing left to assimilate? The ending to "Revolutions" had me scratching my head. I expected a neat resolution to all the questions posed in "Reloaded". I didn't get it. But isn't that really what the Wachowskis intended? The Oracle never gave a straight answer. We shouldn't expect Larry and Andy to do the same. The Matrix Trilogy and, especially "The Matrix Revolutions", is a high-tech pop-culture shoot-em-up sci-fi action-adventure that makes you think, whether you get it or not. For even attempting that, the movie deserves high praise. And, for what it's worth . . . Keanu Reeves is as exciting as toast, Carrie-Anne Moss is my ultimate cyberpunk fantasy girl, Laurence Fishburne needs to do a few tummy crunches, and Hugo Weaving plays too good a villain to ever be killed off. So there.

Summary: every beginning has an end
Review: you know what? i really liked it. others may disagree and find it disappointing, but i found it incredibly entertaining. there are moments in this movie that are truly inspiring and breathtaking. i found myself really caring about these characters. i went through anger, sadness, hope, and happiness while watching this movie. matrix was awesome, reloaded was just plain bad, and revolutions is beautiful. i think the reason why people dont like it is because they're not looking for beautiful in the matrix. but the amount of courage and bravery displayed is very touching. i was moved..."we'll give them hell!" and "as long as he has a single breath in his body, he will never give up". "why do you go on when you know you're going to lose?" mr. smith asks neo. this is a story of triumph over loss, of hope through overwhelming odds.

Review: I loved the first Matrix, was entertained by the second Matrix, and after reading the reviews I had very low expectations for the third (Matrix Revolutions), yet it failed to meet them. It is boring, loaded with profanity, and pointless. They should have stopped at 2.

Summary: The Only Way It Could Have Ended
Review: I waited 5 months after it was released to actually see The Matrix Revolutions. It's ending had already been spoiled for me byt people talking about it at school and that just made me not want to go see it at the theater. about 95 percent of the people I talked to who saw it did not like it at all and said that the series had been ruined. Then others said it was amazing. But i knew it was something I had to see for myself. I was almost convinced i was going to hate it, but when i did see it three days ago, I found that i enjoyed it more than the first movie and found it to be equal to Reloaded...yes I liked Reloaded better than the first. Describing each key sequence would take too long, but the Sentinel/APU battle in the Dock and the Smith/Neo fight are two of the coolest action scenes the trilogy has to offer. Captain Mifune proved to be one of the coolest minor characters, as did Seraph. This movie can be enjoyable if you allow it to be...but if you sit there wanting to hate it, then you are going to. Free Your Mind.

Summary: Still no commentary tracks
Review: I'm dissapointed to see that there's still no commentary tracks by the Wachowski brotehrs. Reloaded, I could kinda understand, but now that the trilogy is over, what's the deal with no comments from the creators about the trilogy as a whole? The documentaries are nice, but don't really provide any new in depth look. We've seen how they do the stunts, we saw the decomposition of bullet time on the original matrix dvd. And by now, CG animation is no longer state of the art technology. It's in just about every movie that uses any special effects. no big deal there. So the features on the dvd gets a 2 star rating from me, it doesn't seem like there's enough special features to warrant a second disc. As for the movie, well unfortunately it still could not match up with the original. Just like reloaded, it suffered a similar problem as many sequels, it just didn't meet my expectations. Overall it was better than reloaded. The fight scene between smith and neo is much better in the third, and much more reminiscient of the original. That was the one thing about reloaded that really turned sour for me. Neo became invinsible and arrogant inside the matrix, and there was nothing that threatened him. Agents were scary, and all powerful in the first movie, in the second they were a joke. Defeated without even breaking a sweat. Even Morphius didn't think twice about going up against an agent again in reloaded. In Revolutions, it was good to see things going back. There was a sense of danger again, and that failure may be possible. If there's nothing to lose, then it just doesn't excite me. Overall, I'd say they wrapped everything up pretty nicely. Didn't leave any huge questions hanging at the end, although I can't help but feeling sad at how it all ended, and the price that had to be paid to obtain peace. But such is life. I'll give the movie itself a 4. That makes my final star rating for the DVD = 3.
